Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 475: Chapter 475: Outsmarted by One’s Own Cleverness

Liu Weiguang followed the public security officers, and seeing the police come knocking on the door and the manager being taken away once more, Friendly’s employees were at a loss and filled with trepidation.

Right after Liu Weiguang was led away, Gu Lijuan submitted her resignation to Wan Fuyu, who was shocked and tried to persuade her to stay.

”In your eyes, people will never outweigh profits. I have finally seen through you. Boss Wan, let’s end things amicably and don’t push me. I know all too well the filth inside Friendly. A cornered dog will leap over a wall!” Gu Lijuan said coldly.

Wan Fuyu’s face darkened as he watched Gu Lijuan walk away without looking back, unable to utter a single word.

With the thorn in his side gone, Liu Weiqing was quite pleased and said, ”Now you can clearly see, who’s genuine and who’s a ghost, remember this?”

”Shut your mouth!” Wan Fuyu roared at her, ”You think you’ve won, but now our company is about to face a real crisis!”

What an obtuse woman, he thought. Gu Lijuan had been handling various affairs for him all along, and now she dropped everything. Who could he find to take over at such short notice?

And what about Joy Soon Loy? How was he going to apologize and smooth over this storm?

Clutching his hair with both hands, Wan Fuyu slumped down in his seat.

Meanwhile, at Joy Soon Loy, Ning Ge boasted to Cheng Su and the others about his great achievements, how he found the thugs and then followed the clues to trace back to Friendly.

”Those punks actually didn’t know who was behind it, they were just following orders from above. I found them, and through them, I found the go-between, you know what?”

Ning Ge said with a mysterious look, ”Liu Weiguang has a young mistress named Xiao Die, a dancer by origin. He found the people through that dancer, not knowing that her lover was behind it all. Liu Weiguang was still smug about it, having no idea he had been cuckolded. Haha, it’s killing me!”

Cheng Su cleared her throat loudly, glancing towards Ying Xiaoya.

She was still a virgin, after all!

Realizing his gaffe, Ning Ge touched his nose and said, ”Anyway, their fates were intertwined! Actually, according to Liu Weiguang’s plan, it was supposed to be mixing inferior ’jam’ with the good stock, selling it as a mix to avoid drawing attention. But that Xiao Die and her lover got greedy, taking all our good batches and swapping them with the bad. Now that it’s been checked, it’s much easier to trace!”

Huh, so it seems Liu Weiguang’s cleverness has backfired on him!

Cheng Su thought carefully, if they had followed Liu Weiguang’s intention of mixing good and bad stock and returned it as such, it would probably be difficult to identify, being all mixed up, at least their judgment would be confused.

But if the entire batch was bad, then it would be much simpler to investigate.

”So, Friendly has been trapped by that, what’s his name, Liu Weiguang!” Ying Xiaoya said with a smile, ”Ning Ge, you’re really capable, finding out so quickly. What method did you use?”

Ning Ge just made a sound and touched his nose, saying, ”No particular method, just like that.”

Cheng Su looked over with full skepticism.

”Just being tough and gentle,” Ning Ge said casually, quickly changing the topic, ”Anyway, we should think about how to negotiate with Friendly and what advantages we can offer. With this discovery, they’re sure to take action. Hmph, we even considered them strong competitors. To do such a thing, it’s disgraceful!”

Cheng Su really was surprised at the outcome. Given that Friendly’s ’jam’ was only slightly worse than theirs, with a bit more effort and research, they could potentially produce even better ’jam’, there was no need for such tactics.

Was this the handiwork of Liu Weiguang or that of Wan Fuyu?
