The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 760: The Goddess of Death Part 4

”...Where are we going?” I ask Pandora after realizing she’s taken me to another timeline. She did it so imperceptibly it’s almost frightening — I severely underestimated this ’broken’ Pandora. Being mentally unhinged didn’t make her any less skilled.

”We’re in the perfect universe, the best-case scenario... I want to see Pandora number one’s happiness with my own eyes! I have to see that lucky bitch,” she says, pulling me along quickly.

”Red King, you’ll see!! She’s a very unfair Pandora.” We fall through a portal and appear in a shockingly enormous castle.

”That’s huge...”

”That’s what she said when she saw me!!”

”...?”

”Haaa... I forgot you’re an entity. When you said ’that’s huge,’ I answered in a way that implied something sexual! Like, I’m very huge.”

”...I still don’t get it.”

”...Forget it, you’re too dumb to understand the joke.” When she says that, I wonder if she’s not the dumb one for making such a joke.

”PANDORA!!” The Pandora beside me shouts as someone steps out of the shadows. The Pandora who emerges is a bit smaller than I expected, reminiscent of a younger Pandora before she matured.

”Oh... you’re me? Where the hell did you come from?” she asks my Pandora, and I notice blood on the cheek of this timeline’s Pandora.

’So this is the best Pandora?’ She has a lighter build, with much smaller breasts than the Original Pandora and this Death Goddess Pandora who kidnapped me. She’s actually even kind of short.

”I came here to witness the injustice of this universe!! Tell me!! Tell me what you have! Tell me your story!” Pandora says, moving closer to her. The other Pandora looks at me and then gives a nearly diabolical smile.

”Oh, what an adorable little thing. Your wife?” she asks, as if she wants to steal me from the Death Goddess Pandora.

”No, and don’t touch her. Just hurry up! Start from the beginning!!! Tell me, how much food did you have available?! After that!!” Pandora asks in a stressed tone.

”After that?... Oh!! Hahaha, you mean after I fucked every inch of Elena’s insides? Hmmm, I really do have good memories from that time. After that, I calmed down and decided I needed more food to mature faster, so I ended up focusing on the elf kingdom,” Pandora begins, already understanding what the Death Goddess Pandora wants to know.

”Even though I wanted revenge right away, getting stronger seemed better, so I abandoned the initial plan of infiltrating the humans and focused on devouring every elf during a two-month genocide. It was a true banquet,” she states, revealing the first divergence.

Because of the contract, I know a lot about Pandora, and I know the Original Pandora infiltrated the humans and never attacked the elves in the beginning.

”Hahahahahaha!! Fuck!! What an injustice, look at her plan!! I had no way of knowing this was the best route!!” Pandora screams at me.

”...”

’It actually makes sense...’ Pandora was a baby at that time. Eating a lot would force her body to have the energy to mature faster. The excess food must have helped considerably.

”Tell me! Tell me about Grimm?!” She grabs this world’s Pandora and shakes her while the latter seems to realize that the Pandora holding her has suffered a great deal.

”Hahaha, are you that jealous? Well, I don’t know how it went for you, BUT I realized Grimm was suspicious after she kidnapped me, so obviously I had sex with her, BUT I completely drugged her brain. It was actually easy, with all that soulmate talk of hers, I filled my semen with perception-altering magic.”

”Using my power to change texture, I created a parasite through shadows that entered her brain. After that, it was just a matter of making her addicted and submissive to me,” Pandora says something deeply disturbing.

’Oh right, Pandora in the original timeline was kidnapped and had a child with Grimm without knowing...’

”Wait, and your children? Azazel?” I ask, confused. From the old contract, I know Pandora had several children, but what about this one?

”Children? Hahaha, what shit are you talking about? I don’t have children. Why would I? I even wanted some before, but I realized something — children are a mental burden, so I ended up giving up on that. Thanks to that, I grew immensely in power using Azraelith as my main focus.”

”No children? So Pandora’s perfect future also depended on her not having children?” This is a shocking revelation, since Pandora always desired children.

”Perfect future? I’m considered the best?” She quickly grasps the implications of what I said.

”Hehehe, it seems I got lucky.” Her arrogant smile makes the Pandora who came with me tear up with rage.

”Well, defeating the heroes was extremely easy because I was much stronger than them. I didn’t even need to know what abilities they had. Besides that, I also found it very easy to kill the goddesses — after all, I had more time than expected to grow strong,” she says with a touch of sarcasm.

”...At least I’m normal.”

”What did you say?”

”I said... AT LEAST I’M NORMAL!!”

’Why is Pandora yelling at her other self? She didn’t even say anything that bad...’

”Oh, feeling jealous, are we? I bet I have more wives than you. I have twenty, very hot ones by the way, besides Mikael — or rather, Mikaela, since I turned him into a girl. He stood out too much in my harem being a man, so I have twenty-one hot and adorable girls.” When this Pandora says that, a girl with white hair and red eyes comes running up. She has an immense sword on her back that greatly contrasts with her small frame.

”Pandora, who are these?”

”Oh Mikaela, you always know how to find me, don’t you? They’re just some unexpected visitors. How about going to let Aradia and Delphina know that I’ll want them at dinner with me tonight?” Pandora strokes the head of Mikael, now Mikaela, who gives her a big smile.

”Of course!!” She passes by us, but not before giving me an interested look, as if she wanted to fight me.

”Twenty girls, or rather, twenty-one? The Original Pandora only has five in her harem, and only four are girls,” I say, somewhat surprised by this almost excessively large harem.

”Yeah... you’re the Blood King, right?” she asks, finally noticing.

”Yes, I am.”

”...You’re a good catch. Snag this girl properly, she’s very pretty,” Pandora says, giving a light elbow nudge to the Death Goddess Pandora, who seems to want to kill her.

”Pandora, you never had problems in the abyss?” I’m genuinely curious.

”Of course not. It was a piece of cake. I was level 500,000 when I reached it.”

’500,000... far above the Original Pandora... Pandora entered the abyss at level 100,000 if I’m not mistaken.’ What a genuinely gigantic discrepancy. I never imagined she would have so many advantages and perfect points in her life.

’This just shows that the Pandora from the original timeline never chose the best options. She was guided too much by instincts and made many mistakes...’ It’s unbelievable that all this happened merely from the decision to start by destroying the elves and abandoning the academy plan. It’s the same base Pandora, same capabilities, same skills, only the choice changed. Both chose correctly, but one chose the best scenario.

”Well, you can stay here for a while, as long as you don’t touch my wives, or I’ll fuck your brains,” Pandora says, giving us a happy smile and slipping into the shadows.

”...?”

”...” The Death Goddess Pandora looks at me and sighs.

”She meant that literally. It’s a bizarre fetish she developed.”

”H-Huh?”

”She—”

”No! No! I understood already, but what the hell?” I interrupt her.

”...Oh, right. To contextualize, she developed it because of Grimm, and the way she does it is kind of disgusting, and more frequent than I’d like to know. She uses Texture Alteration to manage to insert her tail through... well... I think you can imagine.”

”...” Well, it seems every Pandora is sick and perverted, and that didn’t change even with the Pandora who had the best scenario at her disposal.

’I really didn’t need to know that. I expected her to be less perverse and sexually bizarre, but she’s even more bizarre than other Pandoras... I think this fetish must have started when she had sex with Grimm for the first time and dominated her brain. It must have given her a sensation she liked and changed her tastes...’ As Pandora herself said, she was always a simple being, and that simplicity generates many changes in her mentality from small things.

’I feel kind of nauseous...’ This new body of mine is capable of feeling nausea, and I imagine the scene, so my body reacts with disgust.

”Why did you bring me here?” I try to shift my focus. After all, the perfect Pandora is the best life scenario, not the absolute peak of power — even this Death Goddess Pandora would kill her easily — so I’m curious about why come here.

”...I just wanted to see her personally... she seems very happy, always smiling, and even the colors of her emotions are pure joy... The Original Pandora chose to maximize information and minimize risks.”

”But the Perfect one chose to maximize her growth and accept the risks. Everything she did had a high chance of failure, and it’s only the best scenario because it worked out... yes... everything... everything worked out for her,” Pandora says with a sad smile. She’s seeing the result of everything that could have been different, so I understand it must be painful. That’s why I stay quiet, giving her time.
