The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 740: Crossover + Pandora Part 7

”...” I stare at the ceiling. The house is so silent while Shizune and Ayla are sleeping after the little girls’ night we had once we got back from the beach.

Of course, I drugged them both so they’d fall asleep — I didn’t want them snooping around. I open a secret compartment in the house that can only be opened with my blood and seal the entrance behind me.

”...” I walk over to a wall with an absurdly large calendar and mark the end of yet another millennium.

”Again... again with no answers... another millennium... in thousands upon thousands of millennia...” I bite my lips, starting to taste the bitter flavor of pure frustration.

”Does she think I’m some kind of toy?” I crush the pen in my hands, splattering red ink down my arm.

”Millions of years of travel, Omnipotent Pandora... I defended you, I held onto the utmost respect one can have for a grander version of oneself... and this is my payment?”

”No answer at all?” I yank the map off the wall, tearing it to pieces as my tail pierces through the head of the statue I made of Omnipotent Pandora. I finally understand Grimm now — that disgusting feeling of seeking out your ”Original” version only for her to flat-out ignore you.

”Is that it, Omnipotent Pandora?! IS THAT HOW IT’S GOING TO BE?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED FOR YOU? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH OF MYSELF I LEFT BEHIND JUST TO RESPECT YOU?!!” I punch the wall, blasting a hole through it.

”DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I’VE HELD MYSELF BACK THESE PAST YEARS FOR YOU? JUST SO I WOULDN’T DESTROY YOUR IMAGE!!!” I hate this deeply. I hate how much I regressed just to satisfy her.

”I’M YOU TOO, YOU WRETCHED BITCH!” I hurl a massive block of dimensional rock onto her statue, crushing it completely.

”Again! And again! And again!! Millions of years wandering and wandering without pause, but never doing any of what I actually wanted just so your image wouldn’t be left in ruins across the multiverse!!”

”You... you’re pathetic trash, Omnipotent Pandora!! I know you’re listening. You know everything, so you should damn well know that I feel this way, and you ignored it!!! Do you THINK YOU CAN IGNORE ME?”

”You gave me nothing but this piece-of-shit house!! You gave everything to the others!! My family, my status, my power, my titles!! You left me with NOTHING! I CAN’T EVEN SEE MY DAUGHTERS.” With a kick, I smash part of the house’s structure. Great, something to fix later.

”Do you think you can do this to me and expect me to obey forever?! I’m a Pandora too!! And from what I can see, I’m a far truer Pandora than pathetic trash like you!”

”This isn’t going to stay like this!! No!! I’m not going to rot and die in this stupid house while I pretend I enjoy this stupid life of procrastination and sightseeing. You know how much I hate traveling and seeing the universe be so stupidly normal!! Didn’t you want me to explore universes to kill my time? This infinite time that will never end?”

”Well then!! I’ll do things my way from now on!!! No more lowering myself to the limits you simply felt like imposing!! You don’t deserve the loyalty I gave you out of respect for what we represent... You knew damn well what would happen when you forced me to live this shitty life in this house.”

”Now... I’m going to conquer every universe in my path!!!” I flash a wide grin as I turn on the monitor, marking a new map on it.

”Didn’t you want me to live however I wanted?! Didn’t you leave me with the original power?! Now every universe in my path will pay for your choice!” The adrenaline I feel is intoxicating.

New universes, new threats, a completely new environment for me to become the apex predator once again — but I’m not seeking omnipotence. I don’t want to become like that pathetic whore.

I will seek absolute power through the purest violence and tyranny. As we travel between universes, I will dominate each one, killing their main entities and assuming their positions as a stabilizer.

I will make the entire multiverse dependent on my existence. I will turn everything into my little toy box.

”Violence has always been our way! And I’ll spread that violence across the multiverse!! I’ll make violence the strongest power there is!! Crushing every single one who opposes what I want.”

”I know how to do it. If I stabilize each universe I enter using my Mana, it will become dependent on my existence and start to change to adapt to the chaos my Mana emits. With that, I can keep increasing my own power while I corrupt the existence of those universes, becoming the supreme deity of each and every one of them.”

”...Ayla and Shizune won’t even notice I’m doing it. It’s simply perfect!! I’ll be able to have a summit that’s mine and mine alone!!” I’ll rebuild from scratch everything I couldn’t have. I don’t care if I’m just an avatar. Omnipotent Pandora doesn’t deserve my obedience and worship.

”...” I snap my fingers, replacing every statue of Omnipotent Pandora with statues of myself. Since that whore gave up on being the Pandora, then I’ll take that place — becoming the newest Pandora this whole universe will ever know.

”Avatar... that’s right!! I’m no longer an avatar of hers!! I refuse to stay trapped in that chain.” I sever my entire connection to Omnipotent Pandora, the same way it happened with Grimm. Thanks to Grimm’s memories that were shown to the avatar she takes care of, I know.

Grimm had her connection to Oriane completely severed. That allowed Grimm to become ”free,” turning her into an independent being, outside the will Oriane imposed on her. I did the same thing. The difference is that I chose this, and it won’t change anything about my power or my mind.

”Hahahaha, I can barely wait!! Conquering so many universes, the number of interesting fights I’ll have.” I can hardly stop smiling, imagining the faces of all the deities and entities I’ll crush along this path until I make the entire multiverse dependent on me.

”A fierce determination drove Pandora to omnipotence, so an unshakable determination like mine will drive me to the summit I seek — even if I have to kill every Multiversal entity with my own hands.” I change the house’s route. Before, the house only searched for universes with few or almost no life forms. I did that so I wouldn’t accidentally tarnish Omnipotent Pandora’s image.

But enough of that. I’ll grow without any help, alone — as it’s always been and as it always should have been.

”Family... I don’t need that anymore. I already have a family, and I don’t need another. I only need the absolute summit!!! But without omnipotence. I don’t want to become an empty, shallow wretch like her.” I don’t want omnipotence. I want a form of power that’s solely mine — a power capable of crushing anyone below omnipotence.

”Hehehe... perfect.” The house’s route shifts completely. If I manipulate this correctly, Ayla will become the perfect shield, and Shizune is the perfect support.

”It was fate, wasn’t it? Those two dumb bitches are perfect for me to build what I want for myself. Ayla is an immortal shield that will never break, and Shizune, as the concept of life, is perfect for helping me if I’m ever wounded by something I’m unable to heal or regenerate from on my own.”

”As long as they don’t know my plans, I can manipulate them.” I feel all this pleasurable sensation of freedom coursing through my body. It’s like going back to the past — using manipulation, cunning, power, and others to get what I want.

”Just wait, multiverse!! One day you’ll be in the palm of my hands!! And after I dominate my own multiverse, I’ll seek to dominate ALL the multiverses that exist.” This isn’t a delusion. I don’t care if it takes forever. I have the power for it, and with my adaptation, I’ll always have more power if I need it.

And if I run into someone too strong, someone who can kill me? It doesn’t matter. If I die, it only means I wasn’t as good a Pandora as I was in the past.

”Well, well, I think that’s that... for now, I have to keep up the act of just a roommate on a trip... I need to make those two so obedient they won’t care about anything I do.”

”Shizune is just a fragment of the real one. If I break her connection to her true self, the real one will no longer have any bond with this Shizune, and I’ll be able to corrupt her.”

”And Ayla... well, she’s the original version of herself, but she’s someone with a weak mind... Let’s start the manipulation with... Ayla... or Shizune...” The feeling of having a choice, even in something so simple, is pleasurable.
