The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 639: A Little Star in the Sky

”...” After a few hours, I finished playing chess with Delphina. She didn’t win a single match against me. My mind works much faster and more efficiently than hers, which was a good benchmark, even though she was very good.

Unfortunately, she got so frustrated that she gave up and left, and since I’m still bored, I had Olivia brought to see me. And now we’re in this situation, with her curled up in a chair in front of me.

”Why all this fear, Olivia? Did you do something wrong to be so afraid of your goddess?” I question coldly. I don’t like this girl very much after thinking a bit more about her. She deceived my daughters, which makes my descendants look stupid.

”I-I... I’m s-sorry...”

”Why are you apologizing?”

”...” She stays silent while curling up in the chair. I grab a pitcher full of Delphina’s semen and pour a tiny amount into a small cup, a very small amount, and hand it to her. She takes it timidly.

”...?”

”Drink. You’re a succubus, right?”

”...” She timidly starts drinking until she seems captivated and lets out a moan. I bet she’s NEVER tasted anything more delicious. After all, it’s something from a goddess, full of magic, and it has more vitality than what she could obtain in her entire lifetime.

”Did you like it?”

”Y-Yes... it’s... the best thing I’ve ever had.” She speaks with her face completely flushed while I pour myself a generous cup, taking a warm sip of it.

”So... I heard you deceived my daughters, Olivia. That’s pretty bold of you, don’t you think?” When I say that, her expression shifts from that timid joy to absolute terror.

”...” She can’t even say anything, her lips just trembling as if she wanted to speak but didn’t know what to say. Not that I would care. I’m only having this conversation out of pure boredom.

The reality is that it barely matters. If my daughters were deceived, it’s their fault for being naive. Besides, my daughters made this girl their pet. It’s just a bit frustrating that they fell for a trick.

’Speaking of pets... Lycoris’s hydra has barely grown at all. I wonder what a hydra’s growth rate is.’ That cute little monster is being cared for like a queen by servants because Lycoris doesn’t have much time to take care of the hydra, even though she takes good care of it most of the time.

”Olivia, you have the courage to deceive my daughters, but you don’t have the courage to talk to me? How pathetic.” At my insult, she starts crying.

”You’ve already finished the academy, haven’t you?” From what I’ve heard, the academy’s final year has already ended, so in a few months the next academic years will begin. But my daughters and this girl have already finished the academy’s third year, since the academy only teaches for three years per class and they advance over time.

”Y-Yes... I-I’ve already graduated...” Because of the war, some classes were accelerated. Not that it was necessary, but to give the students a sense of urgency. So the academy’s third year happened in forty percent of the normal time, which made many students finish the academy early.

’A fully formed adult...’ I have some doubts about this girl’s character, so I start observing her emotions while deciding to run a test.

”Come here.” I give a very cold order, making her obey immediately. And when she approaches, I pull her onto my lap, sitting her on me while I drink my cup of ”Delphina’s Milk” in a single gulp.

”You know how I’ve achieved so many things? A large part was through manipulation. It’s a very good tool for everything — for fights, for negotiations, for infiltration. Without manipulation, I don’t know if I would have gotten this far.” I begin to speak while scribbling on a paper on the table with one hand.

While with the other hand I rub her chest, I continue giving her a lecture while touching her body, more analytically than sensually, while occasionally drinking some of the ”milk” straight from the pitcher, letting her smell the scent.

And after a few minutes I have the answer I was seeking. Olivia... is just a needy whore. She rubs against me and gives herself to me without any ”loyalty” to my daughters, showing that for her, her sexual interest in my daughters is purely biological because they’re strong, rather than actually about them.

’I think that’s it...’ It reminds me of the past. Elena was my first ”friend,” and she’s a loyal succubus who stood by me out of loyalty. So I think I saw a reflection of that with Olivia and my daughters, but it’s not the same thing.

’I should stop this... my daughters aren’t me...’ It seems I’ve inherited a horrible trait from Mother. It seems I treat my daughters similarly to how my mother treats her daughters, even if with less intensity.

”You can leave.” I push her from my lap to the floor, making her face hit the wood. She lets out a pained little moan while my tone is extremely cold.

”G-Goddess—”

”I said you can go.” When she looks at me trying to say something, I give a dangerous look that makes her get up and run out.

”Ahh, fuck!! I’m so bored...” I don’t want sex, a fight, or food. And without any of those three, my monster instincts are on edge.

”I can’t wait for Elysia to pull me into the fight already...” Now I’m anxious for it. This world that was once so fun is now boring for a being as grand as me.

”P-Pandora...” I hear someone knocking on the door. I tell them to enter and see Amiya. She’s wearing a very... revealing outfit.

”Amiya, it’s been a while!!” From what the stars have told me, she’s close to evolving, so she’ll soon vanish from here. That’s why my tone is cheerful when I speak to her, because it shows exactly that Riko, that ”poor” hero, was completely erased without anyone even noticing. A truly funny ”death.”

”I-I wanted to talk to you... b-but earlier you were kind of scary...” She murmurs, approaching my table timidly.

”It’s because... forget it. How’s your life here? Are you enjoying it? And those two white dragon maids?” I ask even though I already know the answer.

”I’m enjoying it... and my maids are nice...” I finish pouring the last cup from the pitcher and offer it to Amiya, who takes it confused.

”What is this... it has... a kind of weird smell.” She, who still hasn’t noticed, probably because Delphina’s ”milk” is quite unique, just takes the cup.

’Olivia noticed immediately what it was... probably because she’s a succubus, the vitality attracted her... interesting.’ I give Amiya a smile.

”Drink it. It’s just milk. Since you came here, you want to talk, right?” I start making small talk while she sits in the chair where Olivia was previously. She gives a shy nod.

”I-I missed you...” She starts to drink until she coughs, pulling the cup away from her mouth.

”It’s... very bitter... and viscous...” She looks at me suspiciously.

”It’s not my milk, don’t worry. Besides, as you must have noticed, it has a lot of magic. Just finish drinking... and ’missed me,’ huh...” Her talking about missing me is ironic, because soon she’ll disappear and reappear as the Star’s Disciple without memories, while the current Star’s Disciple will become the new star and the old star will die.

”It’s a little intense... but thank you!” With a word of thanks, she goes back to drinking, oblivious to what it really is.

”Amiya, I would love to finish corrupting you, but I really don’t feel like having sex, you know? I’m very bored, so if you have something fun for me, I would love to know...” Maybe my boredom isn’t just boredom.

Maybe it’s anxiety, the purest and most tense anxiety about when the fight will begin. The more I try to forget that, the slower time seems to pass, since I don’t know when the fight will start, and Grimm’s warning for me to be ready only made me more anxious.

”W-Well, I learned how to—” Before Amiya can say anything, an immense golden light emerges as a pillar around her, generating a blinding glow. The feeling this light gives me is uncomfortable, and when the light disappears, Amiya has simply vanished.

”Yeah... it seems fate doesn’t want me to cure my boredom.” I run my finger across the table, knowing exactly what that was. Who would have thought Amiya evolved? It was so abrupt. I expected more time.

”Now Amiya is a little star in the sky... hahaha... DAMN YOU BITCHES!” I hit the table, breaking it. I wanted to have finished corrupting that whore to one hundred percent, but those whores took Amiya before I could finish.

”If it weren’t for our deal, they would pay dearly for leaving me bored... tsk... well, nothing stops me from going there, finding the stars, and fucking with the ’Star’s Disciple’... now what can I do to destroy this immense boredom?” Now Amiya is that. I wonder how the exchange works.

...

...

...

”H-Huh?” I feel strange. I feel so heavy, and even opening my eyes is difficult. I look around and I’m in a white space that seems infinite, until I see a mature woman dressed entirely in white.

”...St...Star... Star?” That name surfaces in my head as she gives me a gentle smile.

”Welcome, Disciple... welcome to your new home.” The woman hugs me while I feel strange, but I also hug her.

”Disciple...” I murmur this strange ”title,” but it’s also my name. Yes, this is my name? Disciple of the Star... what a strange name, but I like it. It’s strangely comforting, as if the weight I had felt until a second ago had vanished.

”...” I fall to my knees, hugging her while crying. I don’t know why I’m crying, but I feel that I’m much better now, and the affection she gives by stroking my head is so comforting.

”Take your time. You can cry calmly. I won’t disappear, and you’re not dreaming. I’ll be here when you calm down, so don’t rush.” She’s so gentle, making me cry like a child in her arms, without understanding why.
