The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 711: Azraelith Part 3

”...See how it turned out? What do you think?” Pandora says as I look at the plate. She taught me the right point of the water and the pasta so it wouldn’t get overcooked, and now the food is ready.

The appearance is pretty mediocre. The meat with sauce is on top of the pasta, while the strips of meat decorate the plate. There’s nothing special about it, and judging by the ingredients used, it’s a relatively cheap dish.

”Hmmm... the smell... it’s strangely good... what did you use?” I ask.

”Nothing special, it’s just common food. The most different thing about the dish is that I used human meat for the steak, but that’s just a personal taste of mine,” she says as I grab a fork and poke the meat.

”What meat is this? Now that I stopped to ask, I don’t know where it came from.”

”It’s breast meat from a young lady. I love breasts, the meat is tender, nutritious, full of fat and succulent, just as its texture is interesting, so I decided to make breast meat for you.” When Pandora answers me, I take a little of the pasta and one of the meat strips.

”Ahh...” I put it in my mouth to try, and to my surprise, the flavor is great. It’s smooth with no exaggerated seasoning, it’s not salty like I expected, and the pasta, despite being dough and me not liking dough much because it sticks to my teeth, is still great.

”Hmmm... it’s good, really better than what I cook... why? I also followed recipe books, why did your recipe, made without any precise measurements, turn out tastier?” I ask, confused, taking another meat strip and trying it.

”Because there’s the temperature of the fire, the temperature of the water, and there’s also the type of seasoning, since if the seasoning burns and the meat is at the right point, the taste is ruined. You usually mess this up, you burn something specific that burns something else, and then it all goes to ruin like a snowball rolling down a mountain.”

”So there are many factors! I liked doing everything myself, that was important to me, so it ends up that I cooked my food at times when I was alone. They were just simple things, and I preferred to eat raw meat, but cooking has its charm.”

”A good wife should know everything, even how to cook, so I learned a bit more about culinary arts testing recipes by myself in case I wanted to impress one of my wives.”

”But in the end, it’s still far inferior to food made by someone who really knows how and is a professional at it,” she says, grabbing a fork and trying the meat.

”...Okay... I really don’t know how to cook anything... I’m terrible at it. I never had to cook anything in my life, I cooked for you because I wanted to impress you,” I tell her the truth.

”I knew you were making food for me even though you’ve never had to make food for anyone.”

”R-Really?” I look at her shocked. She takes another piece of meat and brings it to my mouth with a sweet smile.

”I see emotions, remember? I knew you were cooking for me, and I liked the act even if the taste was bad. I was just being hard on you so you would improve, love.”

”But it seems like just being hard on you wasn’t the right thing. You need to be able to catch the carrot at some point or you’ll get frustrated and stop walking-” I punch Pandora in the face.

”Don’t treat me like a horse following a carrot on a fishing pole. Now you’ve gone too far!” I hate these comments from Pandora. She treats us like I’m an animal.

”Hehehehe,” she laughs with blood running from her nose as she raises her hands.

”Sorry, sorry, I was wrong. It’s just a habit to make these comparisons! Although you’re pretty hot! But are you going to say you didn’t enjoy learning to cook with me? We can make this a routine, just for us.”

”...Haaa...” I sigh, finishing my plate just to go to my room, not wanting to deal with Pandora and her little jokes.

”Sister, before you go to your room, I have something to say. You know... since we’re living in this tiny miniature castle where it’s just you, me, and Beta... I thought it would be nice-”

”I don’t want a child,” I deny immediately. I don’t want to have another child right now.

”Haaaaaa!! No! Really? I wanted to be impregnated again and-”

”Pandora, what happened to our child? We already have one, we don’t need another right now.” I turn to Pandora. I clearly remember having impregnated her and her never showing me this baby.

”...I used her... for something. I’m sorry I can’t say, but our baby is alive and well. She turned into a beautiful mommy’s girl, she adores me very much.” Pandora has such a bizarre smile when she says ”She adores me very much” that my whole body shivers and I feel something sickening.

’What was that? Did she do something to our baby? What did she mean by that?’ I swallow hard. Pandora has never caused me fear before like now, with that single phrase that should sound normal.

”Pandora... that smile of yours really scared me... honestly, I’ve never seen you give such a... terrifying smile...”

”Ah, my bad. I just remembered something very fun. It’s connected to the reason our daughter exists. By the way, she’s a little girl, I never told you before, right? A cute little girl, she’s already an adult, and she really loves me a lot.”

”...Can I see her?”

”...No.” Pandora has a dangerous look in her eyes at the question, before simply denying it coldly.

”...I... I’d rather not have a daughter right now. We already had one, I don’t want another for the next few years. I’m going to my room now.”

”Okay!!! I respect that! I already have plenty of children for now, so let’s leave it at that!!! You can go, I’m going to make an incredible dinner for you later. I’ll call you to cook with me.” I give her a nod, leaving.

’[Mommy... do you know what Pandora did with the baby she had in her womb when we fought the goddesses?]’ I send a message to Mommy through the system, and to my surprise, I’m answered almost immediately.

’[No, Pandora doesn’t mention anything about this girl. She just says she’s doing something very fun. However, Pandora chose her as her successor, and even gave the title of Demon King to this girl.]’ When Mommy says that, I get confused.

’She chose this girl as her successor... why?’ I thought Pandora wouldn’t give her title to anyone for now. This only makes me more curious about why Pandora had such a dark face and such a frightening smile before.

”...I can ask about this later.” I run away from this problem for now, I prefer to keep the peace we have.
