Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Chapter 759: Humiliating David Again

The following morning, David Langston woke up with a burning sense of rage gnawing at him. The image of Wang Jian with Bella still lingered in his mind, every moment of that encounter playing over and over, tormenting him. His pride was shattered, but more than that, the idea of losing Bella to another man-it was unforgivable.

David wasnʼt someone who would sit back and take a hit like that. He had resources, connections, and power, and it was time to use them. He wasted no time and immediately called a meeting with the intelligence division of Langston Industries. This division was one of the most secretive branches of the company, tasked with gathering information about their competitors, enemies, and anyone who posed a threat.

As the head of the intelligence division entered Davidʼs office, the tension in the air was palpable. David slammed down a set of photographs on the table-images of Wang Jian from their last encounter.

”I want you to find everything you can about this man,” David growled, his voice filled with barely controlled fury. ”I donʼt care how deep you have to dig or what strings you have to pull. I need information, and I need it now.”

The head of the intelligence division nodded, taking the photos and quickly dispatching orders to his team. Langston Industriesʼ intelligence network was spread across the United States. They had informants in various sectors-corporate, political, even criminal elements. If anyone could uncover Wang Jianʼs secrets, it was them.

Over the next few days, the intelligence group worked tirelessly, deploying their resources and connections all over the country. Their agents scoured through databases, conducted interviews with informants, and tracked down any leads they could find. Yet, no matter how much they dug, Wang Jian seemed to be a ghost. There were traces of him in California, but no solid records or detailed information about his background. It was as if he had just appeared out of thin air.

What the intelligence group didnʼt know was that this lack of information was not an accident. Charlotte and Sarah, having made their alliances with key figures in the Republic Party, had ensured that Wang Jianʼs identity and background were well-protected. The Republic Party, eager for Charlotte and Sarahʼs financial backing, had done everything in their power to keep Wang Jian off the radar. They controlled public records, legal documents, and even the media to make sure that Langston Industries would hit a dead end.

Frustrated, the head of the intelligence division reported back to David, delivering the bad news. ”We canʼt find anything significant on him, sir. Itʼs like heʼs invisible. Without higher- level connections, we canʼt go deeper.”

Davidʼs eyes flared with anger. ”Are you telling me that with all the resources Iʼve given you, you still canʼt dig up anything useful?”

The intelligence head shifted nervously. ”Not without the help of higher-ups from the Democratic Party, sir. But given the current state of things, and with the public sentiment against us, itʼs hard to get anyone from the upper echelon of the party to assist.”

David clenched his fists, his mind racing. He knew that with Langston Industries facing public backlash, the Democratic Party wouldnʼt risk their reputation by associating with him right now. He was on his own.

”Fine,” David snapped. ”Then keep your eyes on California. I want to know the second this bastard shows up anywhere in the state. We still have our contacts, our assets, and plenty of friends who owe us favors. I donʼt care what it takes-find him.”

Langston Industries had deep connections throughout California, not just in corporate circles, but also in the underworld. David had long-standing relationships with various gangs and criminal organizations across the state, including the notorious Red Vipers, the Black Crow Syndicate, and the Eastside Reapers. These groups had done dirty work for Langston Industries in the past-intimidation, sabotage, even assassination.

David reached out to them now, ordering them to keep an eye out for Wang Jian. He gave them the photographs and a clear message: ”When you find him, call me. Iʼll handle this personally.”

A couple of days later, David finally got the call heʼd been waiting for. Wang Jian had been spotted again—this time at a high-class bar in the heart of the city. And, unsurprisingly, he was with Bella.

David wasted no time. He assembled a group of his most trusted gang contacts, all of them armed and ready to follow his orders. His plan was simple: confront Wang Jian and kill him. No more games, no more humiliation. It was time to put an end to this.

David and the gang arrived at the bar just as Wang Jian and Bella were enjoying their evening together. The atmosphere in the bar was lively, with soft music playing in the background and the clink of glasses filling the air. But as soon as David and his men walked in, the mood shifted. The patrons of the bar sensed the tension immediately, and a few began to leave, sensing trouble.

Wang Jian noticed the commotion and looked up, his eyes locking with Davidʼs. A smirk crossed his face as he saw the rage boiling in Davidʼs eyes. He leaned back in his chair, calm and unbothered, while Bella shifted nervously beside him.

David marched up to Wang Jian, his fists clenched, flanked by members of the gang holding various weapons-guns, batons, knives. ”This ends now,” David hissed through gritted teeth. ”You think you can just take whatʼs mine and walk away? Youʼre dead.”

Wang Jian didnʼt flinch. In fact, he almost seemed amused. ”Is that so?” he said, his voice smooth and cold. ”You really think you stand a chance?”

David signaled to the gang, and without hesitation, they charged at Wang Jian, weapons raised, ready to strike. But what they didnʼt expect was just how quickly and efficiently Wang Jian would react.

In a blur of motion, Wang Jian was on his feet, his body moving with a speed and precision that was almost superhuman. The first gang member swung a baton at him, but Wang Jian sidestepped effortlessly, grabbing the manʼs arm and twisting it until there was a sickening crack. The man screamed in pain, dropping to the ground, but Wang Jian didnʼt pause.

The next attacker came at him with a knife, but Wang Jian disarmed him in seconds, twisting the blade out of his hand and delivering a swift kick to his chest that sent him flying backward into a table. The sound of glass shattering filled the air as the gang member hit the ground, gasping for breath.

Bella watched from a hiding spot behind the bar, her eyes wide with awe as she saw Wang Jian handle the situation with ruthless efficiency. Her heart raced as she watched him take down each attacker with ease, his movements fluid and deadly. There was something undeniably intoxicating about the way he fought, the way he dominated his enemies with such ease. She could feel her body heating up as she watched, her attraction to Wang Jian growing even stronger.

One by one, Wang Jian took down the gang members. Some tried to shoot him, but they were too slow-Wang Jian dodged their bullets with lightning-fast reflexes, disarming them and breaking their bones with precise strikes. Others came at him with swords and bats, but none could land a single hit. Wang Jian was a master of martial arts, and he moved like a predator, his eyes cold and focused.

Within minutes, the gang members were either unconscious, writhing in pain, or too terrified to continue fighting. The bar was in shambles, tables overturned, glass shattered, and the bodies of Davidʼs men littered the floor.

Finally, it was just David left, standing alone in the center of the bar, his face pale with fear.

He had watched as Wang Jian single-handedly destroyed his men, and now there was nothing left to protect him.

Wang Jian approached David slowly, his eyes locked on him like a predator closing in on its prey. David backed away, his hands shaking, but there was nowhere to run.

Wang Jian grabbed David by the collar, lifting him off the ground with ease. Davidʼs eyes widened in terror as he struggled to break free, but Wang Jianʼs grip was unrelenting.

”Youʼre pathetic,” Wang Jian said, his voice cold and merciless. ”You think you can kill me? Youʼre nothing.”

With a swift punch to the gut, Wang Jian sent David crashing to the ground. David gasped for air, clutching his stomach in pain, but Wang Jian wasnʼt done yet. He grabbed David again, this time slamming him against the wall, his face inches from Davidʼs.

”I could kill you right now,” Wang Jian whispered, his voice low and threatening. ”But whereʼs the fun in that? No, I want you to live. I want you to watch as I take everything from you. Your company, your reputation, your fiancée. Youʼll lose it all, and there wonʼt be a damn

thing you can do about it.”

Davidʼs face twisted with pain and humiliation, but there was no fight left in him. Wang Jian released him, letting him fall to the ground in a heap.

Bella stepped out from her hiding spot, her eyes still wide with amazement. She looked at Wang Jian with a mixture of admiration and desire, her body practically trembling with excitement. As she approached him, she couldnʼt help but smile.

”Youʼre incredible,” she whispered, her voice breathless.

Wang Jian turned to her, his expression softening. ”I told you, didnʼt I? I always win.”

Bella smiled, her body pressing against his as she wrapped her arms around him. ”And Iʼm glad to be on the winning side.”
