Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Chapter 258 Killing A Divine Messenger And Signing The Contract

Once he had dealt with the Radiant Illumination Divine Domain, the battle between Wang Jian and the three leaders of the Church became completely one-sided.

Wang Jian unleashed a brutal assault, leaving them badly beaten and burned, rendering them unable to conjure their Holy Attribute.

By the end of the battlefield, the three Church leaders were left with charred bodies, their once-holy visages now unrecognizable. Meanwhile, Wang Jian sat nonchalantly on a large stone, with Yue Yanling and the Grand Elder of the Lotus Blossom Sect standing behind him.

”You know, itʼs quite troublesome that I canʼt simply kill you,” Wang Jian remarked in a bored tone, as if discussing the weather. ”If I were to do so, the Everlasting Mystical Empire would likely lose this war against the demons. I cannot allow that to happen.”

One of the charred bodies attempted to grumble, but their burned throats and tongues prevented any coherent speech.

”Donʼt bother trying to speak. Just focus on staying alive,” Wang Jian coldly remarked.

He continued, musing aloud, ”Now, what should I do with you three? If I heal you and let you go, youʼll surely come up with more foolish schemes and attempt to attack my faction. Dealing with your nonsense every day would be a hassle. So, Iʼve come up with a solution to this problem.”

Wang Jian conjured three small orange orbs infused with peak-level insights of the Flame Attribute.

”Itʼs ironic that you three inspired this technique, and now you shall suffer the consequences,” Wang Jian said, holding out one of the orbs.

”These are orbs of pure Flame Elemental Essence, infused with my peak-level insights of the Flame Attribute,” he explained.

Expanding his domain from his body, Wang Jianʼs domain was astonishingly absorbed into the three orbs.

”Now, these orbs possess the power of my domain. I will merge them with your heads, allowing me to keep track of your every move and giving me the power to end your lives at any moment I desire. So, I suggest you refrain from any suspicious actions that would force me to resort to this drastic measure,” Wang Jian spoke with a devious grin.

”Naturally, any attempt to remove or tamper with these orbs will result in the expansion of my domain within your heads. I donʼt think I need to explain what the consequences of that would be,” he warned with deadly calmness.

Even the most foolish person could guess the outcome if the domain expanded within their heads. Their brains would be instantly fried, leaving them incapable of any action, resulting in immediate death.

The three orbs were swiftly absorbed and fused with the heads of the Church members.

Despite their charred bodies, their consciousness remained intact, which sensed the overwhelming power of the flames within Wang Jianʼs domain contained in those orbs.

”Now... all thatʼs left is to heal you three. Well, that should be easy enough. Iʼll simply unseal your cultivation and allow you to utilize your Holy Attribute. Iʼm sure individuals of your caliber can heal your bodies. And if you canʼt, well, thatʼs no longer my concern,” Wang Jian spoke with indifference.

He proceeded to unseal the cultivation of the Pope and the two Divine Messengers.

The Divine Messengers immediately tapped into the healing abilities of their Holy Attribute to mend their bodies. Soon, the Pope followed suit, and the three of them restored themselves to full health.

Once they were back to full strength, the three of them glared at Wang Jian with seething hatred.

One of the Divine Messengers couldnʼt contain his anger and said, ”...You have committed a grave sin by raising your hand against esteemed members of the Church of Divine Light. You will suffer heavenly retribution!”

Wang Jianʼs face remained bored as he stared at the Divine Messenger who had spoken and nonchalantly snapped his finger.

In an instant, the head of the Divine Messenger who had uttered the threat exploded, reducing his brain to ashes and tearing the rest of his body into pieces.

With the same indifferent expression, Wang Jian then turned his gaze to the Pope and the other surviving Divine Messenger, speaking coldly, ”Anyone else got something to say? If so, I can make this quick. While I need you to stay alive for the Empire to win against the demons, donʼt think for a second that I wonʼt kill you if you become a nuisance. I can end your lives for the smallest of reasons. Thatʼs how close you are to death at this very moment.”

”Even if you die, Iʼll simply find another way to defeat the demons. Itʼll just be a bit troublesome for me, thatʼs all,” Wang Jian concluded, his expression remaining disinterested yet cold.

The Pope and the Divine Messenger gulped nervously as they stared at their fallen comrade, never expecting Wang Jian to be so ruthless. The reality of witnessing him actually kill a Divine Messenger shook them to their core.

”Now, I want you to sign this contract,” Wang Jian stated calmly, extending the Golden Radiance Oath Scroll, a binding agreement that not even Emperor Realm experts could break.

The scroll detailed the conditions for sparing their lives: they could never disclose or discuss anything about what had transpired on the battlefield to anyone, not even their Radiant God. Additionally, they were forbidden from harming anyone from Wang Jianʼs faction.

Reading the terms on the scroll, the Pope and the Divine Messenger felt a sense of apprehension and terror. The fact that Wang Jian had this scroll prepared in advance indicated that he had anticipated this very scenario.

Reluctantly, they signed the scroll under Wang Jianʼs watchful gaze.

Satisfied with their compliance, Wang Jian allowed them to leave.

However, their battle with the Church leaders had not gone unnoticed, and many Emperor Realm experts were on their way to the scene.

Turning to Yue Yanling and the Grand Elder, Wang Jian asked, ”You should be able to handle them, right?”

”Yes, Your Highness. Please leave this task to us,” Yue Yanling replied, placing her hand on her chest.

The recent fight against the Church had only strengthened Yue Yanling and the Grand Elderʼs belief that obeying all of Wang Jianʼs commands, including becoming the objects of his sexual and carnal desires, was the best decision they could have made.

After Wang Jian left the battlefield and returned to his factionʼs camp using Spatial Movement, Yue Yanling and the Grand Elder of the Lotus Blossom Sect informed the Emperor Realm experts who had arrived about the encounter with the suspicious men who had attempted to infiltrate Wang Jianʼs faction.

They recounted the fierce battle they had fought and how the assailants had eventually retreated without leaving a trace.

Of course, during their explanation, they omitted the fact that Wang Jian had dealt with one of the Divine Messengers so brutally.

Instead, they only mentioned that there had been some injuries on both sides, but the attackers had managed to escape.

The Emperor Realm experts listened attentively but didnʼt press for further details.

They knew that it was a tense and chaotic battlefield with three factions that were rivals to each other, and such skirmishes were not uncommon.

After exchanging a few more words, the Emperor Realm experts returned to their respective positions, keeping a watchful eye on any potential threats.

Meanwhile, the Pope issued a statement the following day, claiming that there had been a disaster at the cathedral, and one of the Divine Messengers had been dispatched to handle it.

Although some people found the explanation suspicious, they had no choice but to accept it, given the chaotic state of the war and the high stakes involved.

In truth, the Pope was trying to cover up the loss of one of their Divine Messengers, fearing that revealing the truth would create panic and further damage their reputation.

So, the people reluctantly accepted the explanation, even though doubts lingered in their minds.

It was crucial for Wang Jian to deal with the Pope and the two Divine Messengers and have them sign the contract, as their potential interference could have posed a threat to his faction. With them bound by the Golden Radiance Oath Scroll, he knew they wouldnʼt dare to harm his faction during his absence.

Otherwise, it would have prevented him from utilizing the Teleportation Formation to warp himself to his palace in the capital as the Pope and the two Divine Messengers could have harmed his faction during his absence.

With the completion of the Teleportation Formation, crafted by the talented members of the Liu Family, Wang Jian seized the opportunity to utilize it and travel to the capital. This was a pivotal moment for him.

As Wang Jian arrived in the capital, he could sense a gradual return to calmness after the recent turmoil caused by the prisoners and members of rebellious groups.

However, this calmness wasnʼt solely due to the efforts of the guards and soldiers of the Everlasting Mystical Empire in apprehending the prisoners.

Many of the dangerous criminals had gone underground, evading capture, and further complicating the situation.

These elusive convicts had managed to join various banned organizations within the Empire, including the notorious Crimson Cult and the enigmatic Silent Death. Their infiltration into these groups made it even more challenging for the Empireʼs wide-reaching information network to track them down.

The presence of these hidden criminals added an extra layer of danger and uncertainty to the entire Empire.

As he understood the situation in the capital, Wang Jianʼs body blended into the shadows as he disappeared.
