Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Chapter 253 Dealing With The Third Princeʼs Treacherous Subordinates And Devils

The entire frontline against the devils was divided into multiple barrier pillars, serving as crucial defense points. These pillars relied on a steady supply of energy from the essence crystals provided by each faction.

In light of the empireʼs peril, the Emperorʼs faction generously supplied these factions with an abundance of essence crystals at no cost. The Emperorʼs intention was clear: he wanted the factions to utilize these resources to uphold the barrier at any cost.

The responsibility of guarding the 43rd and 44th points fell upon Wang Jianʼs faction. As they approached this location, Stella approached Wang Jian and shared her observations, ”I sense an illusionary array nearby.”

Aware of the situation, Wang Jian responded calmly, ”I am aware of it too. I intend to launch an attack. Stay prepared.”

Stella relayed this information to the beasts accompanying Wang Jianʼs faction and Lady Zhuoran, who led the Silver Tailed Fox Race.

Meanwhile, this information was also relayed to the human members of his faction and alerted them to be prepared for an encounter with both humans and devils, coordinated through Chen Yiyan.

As they approached the battleground, Wang Jianʼs faction witnessed the fierce conflict between the human and devil forces.

Even from a distance, the battles of the Emperor Realm experts were visible as the surroundings trembled with each clash.

Clashes between these formidable individuals would occur on either side of the barrier, sometimes within the Empireʼs territory and at other times within the devilʼs domain.

The intensity of the conflict played out high in the sky, rendering communication with the Emperor Realm experts impossible. Their focus was solely on their enemies, the Devil Emperors, leaving no room for distractions.

Wang Jian carefully observed the movements of the Third Prince, Wang Chenʼs faction on the ground. They seemed to be strategically positioning themselves based on which barrier pillar required reinforcement and the points where the devils were breaking through.

However, it was all part of an elaborate deception.

Wang Jian suspected that most members of Wang Chenʼs faction were likely unaware of their leaderʼs unholy alliance with the devils. Only the select few high-ranking individuals deemed crucial to their organization were in on the secret collaboration.

The stronger individuals, aware of the clandestine alliance, focused on coordinating with the devils.

Meanwhile, the rest of Wang Chenʼs faction, likely the rank and file members, fought valiantly against the invading devils, unaware of their leaderʼs betrayal. To them, it was their duty to repel the demons and protect the Empire at all costs.

”Follow me! We shall vanquish these devils!” Wang Jianʼs commanding cry reverberated through the ranks of his faction, igniting a fierce determination within each member, including the newly joined beasts.

Without a momentʼs hesitation, they surged forward, charging towards the battlefield. However, their direction subtly shifted away from the devil breach and towards an inconspicuous location that remained untouched by the invaders.

In a swift motion, Wang Jian hurled a blazing fireball ahead of him. In an instant, nearly seventy figures materialized on the ground and among the trees, their illusionary array shattered.

With a resolute command, Wang Jian ordered, ”Defeat them all!”

His faction members surged forth, engaging the seventy individuals in combat. Among them, thirty were formidable King Realm experts, a result of the unholy alliance between the devils and the Third Prince Wang Chenʼs faction.

However, Wang Jianʼs faction was well-versed in battling against such powerful adversaries.

Even if we were to disregard the might of Yue Yanling and the Grand Elder of the Lotus Blossom Sect, who were Emperor Realm experts, Wang Jianʼs faction boasted numerous skilled King Realm experts capable of facing off against these thirty formidable foes.

During the battle, Wang Jian himself abstained from fighting. There was no need for him to engage as the victory was swift and decisive, favoring his faction. Instead, he watched as Chen Yiyan took the spotlight.

He wanted her to demonstrate her exceptional talent and strength in front of his faction members, allowing her to earn their respect and admiration. This would ultimately grant her the authority to command the members of his faction, lightening his own workload.

And Chen Yiyan did not disappoint. She showcased her formidable combat skills by effortlessly defeating three King Realm devils. Her Inferno Control Fan unleashed multiple fiery tendrils that ensnared her targets, searing them with intense heat.

To defend against attacks from multiple directions, she conjured a barrier of scorching flames infused with the pinnacle Laws of Flames.

Wang Jian observed the battle from a distance, a smile gracing his lips. Chen Yiyanʼs mastery over the flame element had truly grown.

Despite the ferocity of the battle, she demonstrated restraint, refraining from inflicting fatal harm upon her enemies, whether they be devils or humans aligned with them.

Instead, she merely knocked them out, leaving them unconscious.

For Wang Jian, this was a trait he cherished in Chen Yiyan. He didnʼt desire her to become ruthless or bloodthirsty. It was her innate softness and gentle nature that had captured his heart.

After dealing with these enemies, Wang Jianʼs faction members tied them all.

Wang Jian then issued orders to his faction members, ”Go forth and confront the devils pouring out from the breached barrier. I will bring these fools back to camp. It seems my third brother Chen has some explaining to do.”

Accompanying Wang Jian on the journey back to camp were women part of his harem, such as Chen Yiyan, Xiao Ling, Han Xifeng, Hong Meilin, as well as a few others who were not part of his harem, such as Stella, Elder Hua, and Meng Xiangyi.

Lady Zhuoran, Yue Yanling, and Grand Elder Yi of the Lotus Blossom Sect were left behind on the battlefield due to her immense strength.

It was crucial to have some powerful experts who could effectively command his subordinates.

Furthermore, with Stella accompanying Wang Jian to the camp, Lady Zhuoranʼs authority as the matriarch of the Silver Tailed Fox Race was necessary to maintain order among the beasts present.

As for the Yue Yanling and Grand Elder Yi of the Lotus Blossom Sect, their strength would come in handy when fighting against devils and in case if more Devil Emperors breach the barrier and enter the Empire.

As they leisurely made their way back to camp, Wang Jian engaged in casual conversation with his women. It was his powerful qi that seemed to make all the tied humans and devils alike float in air and follow them.

Elder Hua and Stella were initially taken aback by this display of power.

While they possessed similar abilities, their qi would quickly deplete, preventing them from maintaining such an effect for an extended period.

Additionally, it would require intense focus, limiting their ability to multitask effectively.

However, Wang Jian exhibited no signs of qi depletion or mental strain. He effortlessly conversed with his women, discussing trivial matters as if this display of power and mental strain was insignificant to him.

Stella quickly regained her composure, feeling fortunate that she had formed a mark with such a unique and special human.

Meanwhile, Elder Hua watched Wang Jian intently, her mind filled with curiosity about how she could attain such incredible strength.

A memory suddenly resurfaced in her mind—Wang Jian had once approached her for a spar during her time in the Sacred Dominion, seeking to compare their insights on the Laws of Wind while gathering information about Ye Chen.

However, circumstances had prevented the spar from taking place, and both of them became occupied with other matters.

Although now might not be the ideal time to ask for a spar, Elder Hua realized that this could be an opportunity to strike up a conversation with Wang Jian and gain valuable pointers to enhance her own strength.

Unbeknownst to Wang Jian, his seemingly insignificant display of power would spark Elder Huaʼs curiosity, prompting her to approach him for a discussion.

Wang Jianʼs group arrived at the camp, catching the attention of the members of Wang Chenʼs faction who quickly rushed to inform their leader about the unexpected development.

Upon hearing the news, Wang Chenʼs face contorted with disbelief. He hurriedly stepped out of the camp to witness the astonishing scene before him.

Cold sweat began to bead on his forehead as he recognized the faces of his own subordinates along with devils floating behind Wang Jian.

It became clear to Wang Chen that Wang Jian had not only discovered the illusionary array but had also defeated his loyal subordinates, which indicated that he must had discovered his alliance with the devils. Frustration coursed through Wang Chen as he clenched his fists.

However, he also noticed that not all of Wang Jianʼs faction had returned, leaving a glimmer of hope to salvage the situation.

Addressing his subordinates with a steely gaze, Wang Chen coldly commanded, ”My seventh brother Jian has attacked our own allies! Prepare to retaliate and make him pay for his treachery!”

”Yes, Your Highness!” Wang Chenʼs bewildered subordinates, though uncertain of the circumstances, chose to trust their leader and brandished their weapons against Wang Jianʼs group.

”Wang Chen, you truly have a knack for handling matters poorly. If you wished to align with the devils, you should have committed fully. Now, you will face the severe consequences of your actions,” Wang Jian remarked, his voice dripping with scorn.

Wang Chenʼs eyes narrowed in anger as he bellowed, ”Attack!”

Driven solely by their loyalty to Wang Chen, his subordinates launched a barrage of long-ranged attacks, including arrows and spears infused with explosive talismans and potent poisons designed to paralyze their enemies.

However, before a single arrow or spear could reach Wang Jianʼs group, they froze in mid-air, halted by an unseen force.

With a malevolent grin etched on his face, Wang Jian sneered, ”...Since you have initiated the attack, I suppose I need not show you any mercy.”
