Chapter 394: Ned’s Recklessness

After reading Idan’s message left on the Lovers’ Plate, Arabel opened the Access Door, picked up Coco and went inside.

All thoughts of the recent deception of the Heir of the Dark Beast Territory dissipated, giving way to an urgent situation.

As soon as she was inside, Arabel immediately sent a message to Idan.

{MBG: What’s going on? What is the situation?}

A few seconds later, she heard Idan’s voice in her head.

”Belle, it’s bad,” he said. ”As we expected, they set up an ambush at the North Portal, and Ned fell into this trap.”

”Instead of running and hiding, Ned succumbed to temptation and decided to take the fight,” Idan continued.

By this point, Idan was no longer running, but was rapidly heading towards the Western Portal.

He absorbed the sources of fire from the supplies that Eulalia had given them before they teleported to this world, as well as the resources needed to upgrade the spatial storage, one by one.

”At first, Ned fought with a Diamond-ranked creature. When he began to gain the upper hand, the Queen sent her toys to help the Diamond-ranked creature.”

Idan paused for a moment and then continued:

”At that moment, the Queen made the mistake of not taking part in the battle personally, deciding that her toys would be enough. Ned, having turned into a Queen, caused chaos and confused the feelings of everyone present. In a matter of seconds, he destroyed half of the Queen’s toys before she noticed something was wrong and took action.”

There was a note of disbelief in Idan’s voice, and Arabel could understand it. She herself was shocked by Ned’s reckless actions.

”How? How did Ned manage to escape the wrath of a Rank 6 creature?” Arabel asked, still dazed with surprise.

”The Queen unleashed her attack on Ned, trying to catch him. But Ned somehow survived it and, taking advantage of the chaos and destruction caused by this attack, hid, turning into one of the many stones in that place.”

”Huh? What?” — Arabel couldn’t believe her ears. ”Did Ned hide from the feeling of a sixth-rank being by simply turning into stone?”

”Yes, Belle, he did,” Idan was delighted by his partner’s resourcefulness and fearlessness.

”Who would have thought, Belle, that the Doppelgangers’ ability to transform into inanimate objects could completely hide them. Even from the feelings of such powerful beings,” Idan said with admiration.

When Arabel heard Idan’s words, she remembered the building made of many Doppelgangers in the Forest of Doppelgangers. The house where Geminia lived.

At the time, Arabel found it strange that Doppelgangers could transform into a wide variety of objects in this building. At that time, she was only a silver-ranked being and thought that her abilities were too weak to notice the presence of Doppelgangers. Arabel only felt them when they entered the building, and all the Doppelgangers turned their gaze on them.

”Thanks to this, Ned was able to deceive the Queen. When the Queen couldn’t find him, she thought Ned had teleported again,” Idan said.

”Ned remained invisible until the Queen left. According to his observations, she headed west here. This happened some time ago. It took Ned a little more time to leave the suppression zone and contact me,” he added.

Arabel listened to Idan in silence. But then she asked a question.:

”If the Queen is heading here, shouldn’t we use the northern portal?”

”We won’t make it,” — Idan replied. ”Ned clearly heard the Queen order the portal to be closed in the north before heading west here.”

”We don’t have much time, Belle,” — sighed Idan. ”We must leave this world before the Queen arrives.” We won’t be able to resist her. The Queen is on a completely different level than the Diamond-ranked creatures.”

Idan spoke confidently because he had received such an assessment from Ned, a maniac and a madman who loved to fight against strong and superior creatures. Even he, after one attack by the Queen, realized that it was not worth resisting her.

”So, Belle, start absorbing the source of ice,” Idan suddenly suggested, turning to Arabel.

Arabel thought for a moment. Then it dawned on her why Idan had asked her to start absorbing the ice source.

”Okay,” Arabel agreed.

She clearly remembered what had happened at the portal when the Outsider leader had used something to block their connection to the System. Arabel was sure that in the near future, perhaps very soon, they would find themselves in a situation where their System would be blocked again.

Without a connection to the System, Arabel was helpless and could only watch what was happening around her. At that moment, she almost lost her younger brother.

Arabel didn’t want to go through something like that again.

She clearly saw how Idan’s avatar, even without being connected to the System, could use the power of his bloodline. It was then that she realized that even without the System, they were both able to control their bloodlines and contracted creatures.

These powers had already become a part of themselves and belonged to them. That is why the System mentioned that these functions cannot be replaced, because they have already become an integral part of themselves.

Idan quickly told her everything he knew and suggested that she start absorbing ice sources. He then returned his attention from the spatial storage and continued flying in the direction indicated by Tamisra.

His anxiety and anxiety increased by the minute. This made Idan completely forget about his caution, and he rushed towards the portal as fast as he could. Something inside him seemed to be whispering to him about the need to hurry up and leave this world as soon as possible.

”If Ned wasn’t so badly injured, I could ask him for a ride, but he needs to rest,” Idan whispered, feeling through the connection as Ned, half asleep, was already inside his star, slowly recovering.

”Phew, — Idan exhaled, realizing that it was better not to count on Ned’s help in the near future.

”System, tell me, has our teleportation ability rolled back yet?” asked Idan after thinking for a while.

[No, Host. The ability is not ready for use yet.]

”How many System points do I need to reduce the remaining time?” Idan clarified before making a decision.

[1987 System points.]

”Okay, System, roll back the ability and make sure it’s ready just in case,” Idan decided.

[Host, are you sure?]

”Yes, I’m sure,” Idan confirmed.

[Deducted 1987 System Points. The teleportation ability is ready.]

Although Idan could wait, he decided to roll back the ability beforehand while he was thinking about it. Then, remembering something, Idan decided to ask the System while it was still in the mood to give him answers.

”System, I hope you can tell me how much it will cost...”
