Chapter 369: News

“Stop!” one of the guards exclaimed, blocking the way, even though he felt that a powerful and dangerous being was approaching them, greatly surpassing them in strength. He didn’t realize that it was the mistress of this place, Erza.

“Move away!” the head of the guards of the heir of the Territory of the Dark Beasts, who was of the fifth rank, exclaimed. He pushed aside a fourth rank guard and confronted Erza.

The head of the guards had only recently reached the fifth rank, and that was thanks to the support of the heir’s parents. In gratitude for this, he volunteered to become the head of the heir’s guard.

However, to his dismay, Erza’s strength greatly surpassed his own. Even though they were of the same rank, their abilities were strikingly different.

The head of the guards felt the full force and fury of Erza. A huge wave of dark energy pinned the guards to the floor, not allowing them to move. The weakest of them even had some bones broken.

Unable to bear such humiliation, the guards, proud dark beasts, wanted to assume their true form and fight. However, the force pressing down on them had weakened.

A beautiful figure emerged from the cluster of dark energy. Seeing her, every guard got goosebumps. They realized who they were up against, and at the same time wondered why the Owner of this place did that.

By this time, all the guards felt the rage and anger coming from Erza.

Walking past them, Erza went to the door of that very room, feeling foreboding.

When she opened the door, she was convinced of her fears.

There was no one in the room: neither the heir, nor the girl.

There was a small pool of blood on the floor, which Arabel had forgotten to wipe off, and it had dried.

This blood belonged to the heir of the Dark Beast Territory.

Following Erza, the guards of the heir rushed into the room, worried about his well-being. However, when they didn’t see anyone, they froze in disbelief. Then, when they noticed the blood, they immediately identified it as belonging to their young master using their beast sense of smell.

“Ms. Erza, what does all this mean?” the head of the guards asked, trying to contain his anger, although he understood that he was no match for the mistress of this place.

Erza did not deign to reply, and this only increased the dissatisfaction of the head of the guards. He was about to express his indignation by mentioning the heir’s parents when Erza’s maids began to appear around her, kneeling down.

“Find them!” commanded Erza, and then added, “Send someone to the ritual room and the Trading House.”

Knowing where Arabel came from, Erza immediately decided to check on everyone who was related to her.

The maids disappeared one by one to do their mistress’s bidding.

“Your heir has been abducted,” Erza said bluntly, looking at the pool of blood. “That’s all I know.”

The guards became worried after hearing these words from the mistress.

Their lives directly depended on the life of the heir. If something happens to him, their heads will fall off their shoulders.

Without wasting any time, the guards began to search for clues and clues.

The dark beasts had their own ways of tracking prey and targets.

After spending some time, the guards came to the depressing news. There were no clues or opportunities to discover and determine the location of the heir.

None of them could have imagined that such a thing could happen, especially in the mansion of the most powerful being in this city, right under their noses.

Even the heir who was abducted did not escape their curse. All this happened because of his excessive lust, desire for women, and selfish nature, which did not want anyone to see his depraved actions.

All this time, the guards thought that their ward was busy enjoying himself, unaware that someone would dare to take advantage of this and kidnap him.

Soon, the first maid came with the news:

“Mistress, the ritual room is empty. The female that was imprisoned there has disappeared, as has the entire essence of darkness,” she said without concealment and trembled. The maid understood that this was not her fault, but in the depths of her soul she prayed that she would not be killed.

Erza, who had regained her senses for a moment, began to feel angry again. The energy of darkness began to flow out of her body. She was not only angry about the disappearance of a girl who had a good chance to complete the ritual, but also that the essence of darkness had disappeared.

Erza spent a lot of effort and time to get, grow, and tame this entity. She couldn’t do the ritual without her.

In less than a minute, the second maid hurried to her side.

“Mistress, there is a disturbance in the Trading House! The staff is busy suppressing the slaves who suddenly broke free!” she said, falling to her knees in front of Erza.

After receiving this news, Erza quickly realized that it was that girl and the guy who were responsible for all this.

Erza couldn’t understand how they had managed to carry out such a daring plan.

“How could a girl free herself from the power of a dark being who, as I was sure, completely controls her?” thought Erza.

The being inside her, which had a close connection to what was inside the girl, made it clear to her. It had never deceived her. For Erza, this creature was the only one she could fully trust.

“If not her, then someone should have helped this girl. Someone who is able to move stealthily even in my own mansion.”

In her thoughts, Erza came to only one answer —the elusive robber.

Yes, she realized that the same robber was behind all this, who not only robbed her, but also many other creatures.

“Mistress,” called the maid who had just reported on the situation in the trading house, distracting Erza from her thoughts.

Erza asked with displeasure when she was distracted from her thoughts.

“Mistress, I also found out that before the slave riot started in the Trading House, one of your maids came in,” the maid said, stuttering slightly. Instead of saying “one of us,” she emphasized that they were all servants of Erza.

“Who exactly?” asked Erza.

“This is… It’s Essora, mistress! Essora went in there!”

Hearing the maid’s name, the darkness around Erza began to thicken.

“You!” she said to the maid. “Go check the underground rooms and see if anyone is missing.”

After receiving the order, the maid quickly left without wasting any time.

Erza was filled with rage, she was suffocated by anger.

However, before she could express her anger, another maidservant approached her.

“Mistress!” the maid exclaimed before she could even kneel. This made the irritated Erza so angry that she pinned the poor maid to the floor with all her strength, almost taking her life.

Then, using her hair, she lifted the maid like a rag doll and brought her to herself.

“What?” she asked, almost strangling the maid.

“Mis… Mistress… Qu… Queen… has come…” the maid said with difficulty.

Hearing that the Queen had come, all of Erza’s rage seemed to dissipate. Her black eyes returned to their normal color, and the darkness surrounding her disappeared without a trace.
