CEO's Reborn Wife

Jane Sampson let out a soft ”oh” in response, but it took her a few seconds to realize that James Black was waiting for her to let go.

Only then did she slowly, with a delayed reaction, withdraw her hand and brought around a backrest from behind to continue holding it.

Three days later, Jane Sampson, along with Brooke Black, and a few others set out for City Z.

Brooke Black brought along a secretary and an assistant, while Jane Sampson brought Coco Edwards, accompanied by the General Manager of JSY and his assistant.

The hotel was booked by Brooke Black’s secretary, right at the hotel where the Investment Attraction Conference was being held, saving everyone the trouble of running between places.

By the time the check-in was completed, it was already around 6 o’clock in the evening. As Jane Sampson and the others were waiting for the elevator, they were discussing where to enjoy their first meal in City Z.

Coco Edwards was using her mobile phone to search for the top-ranked delicious food nearby on a popular review site.

Jane Sampson leaned her head over to look next to her.

At this time, the elevator arrived. Hearing the sound of someone coming out, Jane Sampson didn’t lift her eyes from Coco Edwards’ mobile phone and just stepped back two steps.

It wasn’t until she heard someone call her name that Jane Sampson looked up.

It was Jillian Carter.

Quite a coincidence.

Just arrived and ran into Jillian Carter.

”Jane Sampson, what a coincidence. Don’t tell me you’re here in City Z at this time for the Bright Light Investment Attraction Conference too?” Jillian Carter walked out of the elevator with a female assistant.

”What else?” Jillian Carter’s tone was sarcastic, and Jane Sampson didn’t bother to be polite, ”Or did you think I came here just to have a chance encounter with you?”

”I’m just wondering, how come you’re everywhere?” Jillian Carter sneered, ”Are you keeping an eye on our West Crossing’s moves? Let me tell you, you have no chance of winning at this Investment Attraction Conference.”

”Yes, I know. You and Joseph Shaw have some connections.” Jane Sampson nodded, giving a light sound of affirmation, ”So, you knew I would be attending this conference and should know I was invited. So, that surprised act you just pulled, who were you performing for? Keeping an eye on your West Crossing? What is there in your little West Crossing worth my attention?”

Jane Sampson didn’t hold back in her counterattack, ”If JSY ever truly keeps an eye on your West Crossing, it would only be to guard against your West Crossing engaging in some illegal and despicable competition. After all, there’s a precedent, can’t be too careful.”

After speaking, Jane Sampson bypassed Jillian Carter, called for Coco Edwards, and everyone entered the elevator.

Talking to Jillian Carter, even an extra word felt exhausting to Jane Sampson.

Before, Jillian Carter would still put on a show, pretending to be a good friend of hers, but after that phone call, now Jillian Carter doesn’t even bother to pretend, showing no sincerity at all.

”She stole the words right out of my mouth, how is she everywhere?” Coco Edwards spat after entering the elevator, ”Just the thought of JSY and West Crossing appearing in the same shopping mall in the future makes me uncomfortable.”

”What’s there to be uncomfortable about? Just look at our JSY with its thriving customers, and then look at her West Crossing with its deserted doors, it’s quite good.” The General Manager of JSY had a strong tone, but his words were very pleasing to the ears.

Listening to this was truly satisfying.

”Makes sense!” Brooke Black praised the General Manager of JSY, giving him the utmost affirmation and mental support.

”Once JSY secures the location, we can hire professionals to design the storefront style. The decoration style and setup of a physical store are very important as they represent a brand’s taste and aesthetics, and also reflect this brand’s style.” Brooke Black reminded, ”Be careful not to let the store’s design secrets slip out to someone with ill intentions.”
