CEO's Reborn Wife

James Black, he’s unhappy.

Jane Sampson’s heart ached painfully.

She felt sorry for her James Black.

”Alright, I’ll come back as soon as I’m done.” Jane Sampson answered softly, then glanced at the time and said, ”It’s very late, you should rest early.”

After saying good night, Jane Sampson couldn’t find sleepiness at all.

She hesitated for a few seconds with her mobile phone before using an app to check flights.

Realizing that at 00:20 a.m., less than an hour and a half later, there was a direct flight to the Capital Province, Jane Sampson immediately booked a first class ticket, then put on her coat, cap, and mask, grabbed her purse, and left the room.

To prevent James Black from knowing, Jane Sampson dared not let Coco Edwards know in advance that she was crazily rushing to catch a flight alone late at night.

Once the plane landed on time, Jane Sampson sent a WhatsAPP message to Coco Edwards that she had returned to the Capital Province.

Asking Coco Edwards to inform the director tomorrow morning that she would be back before the event.

Jane Sampson calculated that tomorrow night’s event would start at half past seven in the evening, and as long as she arrived at the TV station by six o’clock, she’d have an hour and a half to prepare.

It was midnight, Coco Edwards had already rested, so at this time Jane Sampson didn’t worry about Coco Edwards calling James Black in advance, or waking him up.

Or rather, no need to fear disturbing James Black in his good sleep and making him upset.

If time were to roll back two years, Jane Sampson would never believe that one day she’d travel under the stars, the night from a city a thousand miles away, taking nearly a three-hour airplane ride, to rush back to the Capital Province.

Just because of his words, ”I miss you very much.”

Just because he is unhappy.

Just to rush back and gently hold him tonight when he’s not very happy.

And this man is James Black.

But now, all Jane Sampson could think about was James Black. So, Jane Sampson felt this journey of love wasn’t tiring at all.

The taxi stopped at the guard team’s doorway, and the standing guard’s team member was shocked to the point of dropping his jaw when he saw Jane Sampson get out of the taxi alone.

”Sis... Sister-in-law!” The young team member quickly granted Jane Sampson passage.

While making a record, the young team member asked concernedly, ”Sister-in-law, is something wrong? Why are you running to the guard team alone late at night? Didn’t you say you were busy outside these few days?”

”Nothing’s wrong, what could be wrong? See, I’m just fine.” Jane Sampson smiled, putting down the pen, ”You’ve worked hard tonight, here’s a candy to sweeten your day, I’m heading in.”

The young team member held the Big White Rabbit Candy Jane Sampson gave him and smiled bashfully, thanked her, and watched as Jane Sampson went towards the dormitory area.

At this hour, everyone was already resting, especially in a place like the guard team with a regulated schedule.

While going up the staircase, Jane Sampson kept her steps light, and then quietly used her key to unlock the door.

Inside the guard team, these men didn’t even think to deadbolt the room door while sleeping, James Black was the same, so when Jane Sampson used the key, she entered right away.

The living room’s window curtain wasn’t drawn, so the light in the living room wasn’t that dim.

Changing into shoes, Jane Sampson quietly tiptoed into the bedroom.

However, as soon as she reached the doorway, taking just a few steps inside, the person who had been asleep in the bed suddenly sat up alertly.

A cold, sharp voice, ”Who!”

”It’s me!” Jane Sampson quickly replied first and then threw her purse onto the ground, running towards James Black.
