Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 1061: Chapter 1047

Kang Li: ”Auntie...”

Old Lady Li: ”Hmm? Is it something difficult for you to say?” Seeing Kang Li hesitate, Old Lady Li chuckled, ”I’ve always treated you as my own child, feel free to ask whatever you want, say whatever you want, no need to hold back with Auntie.”

”I just wanted to ask you and Uncle Loh, are you really not planning to let Xiao En recognize Comrade Xiao as his father?”

The affairs between Xiao Shen and Loh Xue, Old Lady Li hadn’t hidden from Kang Li and Luo Yanqing after Xiao Shen left, so Kang Li and Luo Yanqing already knew Xiao En’s biological father was Xiao Shen, and that Xiao En’s existence was due to an accident between Loh Xue and Xiao Shen.

About this, Kang Li’s heart wasn’t too stirred.

Drinking on such a day, mistaking someone and then having such an incident, can indeed be called an accident. Moreover, since Loh Xue secretly loved Xiao Shen, it makes sense that something would happen.

After all, when feelings are involved, people easily become confused.

In fact, from Loh Xue protecting her belly and insisting on giving birth to Xiao En, it was clear that she not only secretly loved Xiao Shen, but was deeply in love with him, willing to risk her life to give birth to their child.

It was fortunate that she and Luo Yanqing found Xiao En on the mountain that day by accident, otherwise, when these two elderly individuals got back to Hu City and learned about Xiao Shen and Loh Xue, who knows how regretful they would be.

”For now, let it be!” Old Lady Li said, ”When times get better and Xiao En grows up, I’ll tell him everything and see if he wants to recognize Xiao Shen. Your Uncle Loh and I won’t interfere.”

Xiao Loh En was sitting in Luo Yanqing’s arms playing with a toy, very concentrated, as if completely unaware of the adults’ conversation in the living room.

”That boy’s nature is actually decent...” Elder Loh’s face showed no special emotion while he said, ”If Xuexue were still alive, and your auntie and I hadn’t known about her and Xiao Shen, once we found out... Xiao Shen would certainly have gotten a lesson and we’d consider their relationship, respecting Xuexue’s wishes.”

Kang Li: ”Comrade Xiao indeed isn’t someone who acts recklessly.” Perhaps, to Loh Xue, risking her life to give birth to a son, she likely had no regrets in her heart, and might even be content.

Why?

Knowing the person she loves doesn’t have romantic feelings for her and is only thinking of his late wife, if she gave birth to a child and still lived, and he found out the child was his,

proposing marriage, and taking on the duty of raising the child together, based on Loh Xue not agreeing to marry him earlier and asking him to keep their affairs from the elders, even if she and Xiao Shen became husband and wife, she likely wouldn’t feel happy.

Love is selfish, nobody wants their beloved... to have another living in their heart, especially when that person has already departed.

In this situation, how can the living compete with the deceased?

This was what Kang Li thought in his heart, as for whether Loh Xue thought the same, only she knew.

Kang Li believed, according to his analysis, Loh Xue likely wouldn’t settle.

The young girl loved sincerely, without any ulterior motives, how could she accept an unequal love?

”Even though it was an accident that Xuexue ended up with him, but... but we can’t say Xuexue’s death has nothing to do with him,” Old Lady Li’s emotions seemed a bit low, ”Anyway, I can’t easily treat him kindly like before in a short period of time.”
