Reborn as a Weak Beauty Pampered by All

Chapter 961: Chapter 958: You Are the Head of the Household

As he spoke, Captain Kang tugged the quilt towards himself, but unfortunately couldn’t move it. In an instant, he felt a chill in his heart, and he said, ”If I catch a cold, spending money on myself is a minor issue, but won’t you feel bad about sending money to the hospital?”

The next moment, the quilt noticeably loosened.

Captain Kang noticed and couldn’t help but chuckle in his voice: ”No wonder you’re my wife, you always know the reasoning.”

Hearing this, Cai Xiufen rolled her eyes: ”If you keep rambling, I’ll sew your mouth shut with a needle!”

At the same time, in Big Brother Kang and Elder sister-in-law Kang’s room.

”Li Bao suggested after the New Year, the third brother’s wife should go to North City with him. What do you think?”

This was the voice of Elder sister-in-law Kang.

Big Brother Kang: ”Didn’t you already agree? Now you’re asking what I think? I really don’t get you women!”

Elder sister-in-law Kang: ”I thought since we both have to work, once we get busy, we definitely won’t be able to look after the third brother’s wife. So when Li Bao mentioned it, I didn’t have any objections.”

”I think the same as you.”

Big Brother Kang said: ”Uncle Loh and Aunt Li can both return to Hu City. I figure the third brother’s wife’s dad should also have returned to his home in North City. When the third brother and his wife go to North City, they could visit her original home. Besides, our mom is in North City, so she can help watch over the third brother’s wife a bit.”

Elder sister-in-law Kang: ”You’re good at finding things for our mom to do.”

Big Brother Kang: ”How is this me finding things for our mom to do? I was thinking with mom nearby, and since Li Bao mentioned letting the third brother’s wife stay at her place, mom can notice her comings and goings daily.”

For a while, Elder sister-in-law Kang didn’t speak, and Big Brother Kang asked: ”When the third brother’s wife is about to give birth, you’ll probably have to go to North City to help with the postpartum care.”

”I know.”

Elder sister-in-law Kang replied: ”Since we’ve accepted the child in the third brother’s wife’s belly as our own, I’m their grandma, so I naturally have to visit, and take care of her after childbirth. But... how will the third brother’s wife manage two kids on her own in the future?”

”There’s always a way when the time comes.”

Big Brother Kang gave this reply and said no more.

”If only the third brother’s wife’s parents hadn’t divorced.”

With Grandma and Grandpa in North City, the two kids wouldn’t lack for care, but Elder sister-in-law Kang knew this was wishful thinking on her part.

After all, Yan Rou not only had divorced parents, but after her mother remarried, she didn’t treat her biological daughter Yan Rou well. Given such a mother-daughter relationship, expecting the other side to help Yan Rou with childcare was unlikely.

And Elder sister-in-law Kang undoubtedly knew about Yan Rou’s family situation from Kang Li.

In another room.

”How much gift money should I give tomorrow?”

”Give whatever you like, you don’t need to ask me.”

”Why don’t I need to ask? You’re the head of the household.”

”You are, I defer to you.”

Luo Yanqing’s voice carried a smile: ”As long as it’s your decision, I have no objections.”

”Then I’ll make the decision.”

Kang Li’s tone also had a hint of a smile.

”Mm.”

Luo Yanqing responded, indicating he understood, then said: ”If you wear that bright red wool coat, you would definitely look stunning.”

Hearing this, Kang Li paused for a moment, then smiled: ”You mean the coat I gave Educated Youth Yan, right,”

Kang Li used a declarative tone: ”Didn’t I ever tell you I don’t like wearing red clothes?”

Luo Yanqing: ”You did say that. That year, when we had our wedding ceremony at home, you wore a red dress which looked great, but you only wore it for a day, and that was because mom urged you to.”

”Good that you know.”
