She Lives without Regret in This Life

Chapter 376: Chapter 386: Writing Lyrics for Rebirth

However, the plan for the Qianjin Dance Troupe to come and observe our practice had to be postponed indefinitely due to Captain Su Yun’s sudden leave request, leading to a change in the schedule.

This made Yang Wenying’s mood soar to the heavens.

“Hmph! That woman needs to be put in her place, let her be proud,” Wenyin muttered as she glanced at the lyrics, casually chatting with Qiu Bai.

“You, why do you become so extreme when it comes to Su Yun?”

“I can’t help it, I just find her annoying,” Yang Wenying said, setting down the lyrics as her smile faded considerably. She complained to Qiu Bai, “What is all this stuff? It’s simply unbearable to look at.”

Qiu Bai, curious, took a glance and read, “For our tomorrow, striving hard, filled with hope, persevering… are these lyrics?”

“Yeah!”

“They’re nothing compared to ‘Rebirth’!” Qiu Bai was quite discerning; aside from her extraordinary talent in dance, her expertise in music and stage design were also top-notch in the country.

She could recognize good work at first sight.

Just like the play ‘Blood Rose,’ which had deeply impressed her and made her admire ‘Rebirth’ from the bottom of her heart.

“Exactly! Other than ‘Blood Rose’ and the upcoming ‘Hope Field,’ everything else from our General Union Dance Troupe just isn’t worth mentioning. ‘Butterfly Lovers’ is still copying Qianjin Dance Troupe to this day. That’s why I’m thinking that if we could have a catchy song, it would take the Song and Dance Troupe to the next level.”

Merely depending on what they had couldn’t surpass Qianjin in all aspects. The regional grand New Year’s celebration program committee had already been established.

And their Song and Dance Troupe was at the bottom again, merely serving as a backdrop for others, which was unacceptable.

Her plan was that next year, the General Union Dance Troupe must shine.

“Do you want to find Rebirth to write?” Qiu Bai’s eyes sparkled, “That’s great, I agree.”

“But we have to wait for Su Hai to come back; without him, no one knows who Rebirth is.” Yang Wenying sighed, “How did Su Hai manage to keep such an important person under wraps? Who do you think Rebirth could be? It couldn’t really be Su Hai, could it?”

“What are you thinking?” Qiu Bai shook her head with a chuckle, “Getting Su Hai to write about dark psychology or conspiracy theories would be more like it. Writing ‘Blood Rose’? Impossible. Rebirth is definitely a woman; only a woman could write such delicate and rich emotions. Besides the intricate and plentiful emotions, Rebirth also possesses a passion and enthusiasm that many women lack.”

“You’re amazing,” Yang Wenying admired sincerely, “The thing I’m most grateful for is having snatched you up for our troupe.”

“Hahaha… that’s one thing I share with the President—the thing he’s most grateful for is having snatched up the Living Yama for our district.”

“Exactly!” Another reason Yang Wenying was so eager to surpass Qianjin was because the General Union was already far superior in overall quality to the other unions, but she was lagging in artistic performance.

This was something the competitive Yang Wenying could not accept.

“Alright! Is the list for the consolation performance ready? How exactly are the groups divided? Give me the list.” Qiu Bai wasn’t there just for small talk.

“Here, it’s done! The President himself drafted the list,” Yang Wenying said with a meaningful smile, looking forward to Qiu Bai’s reaction to the specific groupings.

“This… How did they include the General Union Courtyard in this?” Qiu Bai thought she was seeing things!

“I think our President is mixing public affairs with personal interests,” Yang Wenying said with a mysterious smile, “Let’s go take a look, and while we’re at it, we can bring some warmth to the old leaders.”
