Supreme Sword God

Chapter 181: Chapter 180: The Mysterious Race

The few movements of the Original Truth, combined with the heart method mantra, felt not too difficult for Ye Chen.

The only trouble was that there were some obscure and hard-to-understand parts in these heart method mantras, which Ye Chen couldn’t figure out himself, but this didn’t hinder his progress in comprehending the Original Truth.

After all, in the Sword Tomb, there was also Luo Qingyi.

Luo Qingyi had never come into contact with the Original Truth before, hadn’t even heard of it, but Luo Qingyi was powerful, having once followed the Nine Heavens Sword God, with vast experiences. What was obscure and hard to understand for Ye Chen, was very simple for Luo Qingyi.

Taking advantage of being alone in the tent, where generally no one would disturb him, Ye Chen simply entered the Sword Tomb to consult with Luo Qingyi.

After an in-depth and straightforward discussion with Luo Qingyi.

Ye Chen also gained a deeper understanding of the heart method mantras of the Original Truth.

”This Original Truth is quite extraordinary. The mantra and heart method, and those nine visuals your cursory master uncle gave you, are just the foundational part, but even this foundational part can be of some use to me,” Luo Qingyi tried cultivating the Original Truth as well.

For a strong warrior like her to find a cultivation technique helpful was indeed very rare.

Moreover.

Luo Qingyi knew her situation well.

Although she was very powerful, she no longer had a real physical body... yet even so, it was effective.

Ye Chen smiled but didn’t care about this issue.

Since he had already obtained this part of the Original Truth, he might as well cultivate it, as this Original Truth could help him progress smoothly on the path of uniting with the spiritual martial arts!

”Elder Qingyi, the three-month agreement between us is almost due, I need to quickly temper the sword body and penetrate the third layer of the Sword Tomb!”

Ye Chen always remembered this issue.

Once he penetrated the third layer of the Sword Tomb, he could see Luo Qingyi’s appearance.

”Flesh, muscles, bones, and blood; you haven’t even fully tempered the muscles yet, and there are still seven days until the three-month agreement,” Luo Qingyi reminded.

Ye Chen said, ”Seven days should be enough.”

”Up to you. I have something to do up top. If anyone approaches or spiritually probes, I’ll inform you.”

With these words left behind, Luo Qingyi’s figure flickered and disappeared.

Ye Chen also began the sword body tempering!

Due to the lack of nourishment from the power of the bloodline source, it was impossible to temper the sword body without concerns like before.

Whenever he felt a deficiency in qi blood, Ye Chen would stop tempering the sword body and turn to cultivate the Original Truth.

The nine movements represented by the nine visuals, combined with the heart method mantras, were repeatedly cycled, and Ye Chen found that every time he cultivated the Original Truth, there were extremely subtle different changes.

Moreover.

The deficiency in qi blood caused by tempering the sword body also seemed to recover much more quickly.

As for the reason, Ye Chen couldn’t figure it out, but since it wasn’t a bad thing, there was no need to dwell on it!

......

The tenth layer of the Sword Tomb.

Luo Qingyi stood before a solitary grave and said, ”Uncle Long, I have something to ask you.”

As the words fell.

A small snake emerged from the ground beside the solitary grave, transforming into a thousand-foot cyan dragon, floating in the air.

”What’s the matter?”

”Uncle Long, Ye Chen accidentally obtained a cultivation technique called the Original Truth. Though it seems simple, it is very mysterious, and I want to ask Uncle Long if you know anything about it.”

”A cultivation technique that even intrigues you must indeed be extraordinary. However, I have never heard of the Original Truth. It might be a creation of some great wise individuals within the recent ten thousand years or so.”

”Uncle Long... I can also cultivate this technique,” Luo Qingyi said.

”What?!”

The divine dragon floating in the air let out a very astonished voice, and then a brilliant cyan light burst from the thousand-foot dragon body, transforming into the form of a middle-aged man in a cyan robe.

”Qingyi, you have long transformed into a spirit body, and it’s even the Dao Spiritual Body. We’ve tried countless cultivation techniques for you before, but none worked.

Now quickly perform this technique; I want to take a good look at exactly what’s happening!”

Luo Qingyi responded with a hum and then operated the heart method mantras of the Original Truth, slowly performing the nine movements.

As Luo Qingyi performed it again and again.

A layer of misty light gradually emanated from her.

The middle-aged man from the Dragon Race stared intently at Luo Qingyi’s movements, observing the flow of power within her, without blinking.

After half an hour.

”Stop.”

Luo Qingyi stopped and said, ”Uncle Long, did you see anything?”

The middle-aged man of the Dragon Race took a deep breath and said, ”When I was young, I once heard the previous Dragon King preach in the Dragon Race Ancestral Land. After every sermon, the previous Dragon King liked to tell some legends.

It’s said.

In this world, within the human race, there is a very special lineage known as the Primitive Ancient Clan.

The origin of the Primitive Ancient Clan is mysterious and seems related to the Divine Realm.

Not only is their origin mysterious, but their whereabouts are also very secretive. No one knows where the people of the Primitive Ancient Clan are, nor how many of them there are.

Whenever a great Heaven and Earth tribulation appears, there will be inheritors walking the world, turning the tide.

The last great tribulation was the appearance of the Celestial Demon, but even the appearance of the Celestial Demon couldn’t be considered a great Heaven and Earth tribulation.

Even so, the most powerful human of that era, your father the Nine Heavens Sword God, paid with his life to resolve the crisis, showing just how terrifying the inheritors of the Primitive Ancient Clan must be.

Your cultivation technique is called the Original Truth, and it’s so mysterious, it might be related to the Primitive Ancient Clan!

I closely observed you; you’re only touching the surface of the Original Truth, unable to reach the true essence at all.”

After listening to this, Luo Qingyi was very shocked, and a strong desire arose in her heart.

”Uncle Long, I haven’t even touched the true essence of this cultivation technique, yet it still has an effect on me. If I continue to cultivate it, and one day can touch the deeper mysteries of the Original Truth, can I possibly break free from shackles and remold my physical body?”

Although Luo Qingyi now appears to be no different from ordinary people, the Dao Spiritual Body is ultimately just a soul body, not a real flesh and blood body.

Ordinary Martial Artists of the Mortal Transformation Realm can already regenerate severed limbs, and some stronger ones can even be reborn from a drop of blood.

Luo Qingyi is incomparably stronger than the Martial Artists of the Mortal Transformation Realm, yet she cannot form a physical body, for the Dao Spiritual Body exists as a dominant form, preventing her from forming a physical body.

The middle-aged man from the Dragon Race shook his head and said, ”Your inability to grasp the essence of this cultivation technique is not related to your proficiency or your aptitude. It should be that only those with the lineage of the Primitive Ancient Clan can truly unravel the essence of this technique.

But, Qingyi, you shouldn’t be discouraged.

Since the Original Truth has some effects on you, it indicates that there’s a significant possibility of methods within the Primitive Ancient Clan to help you break free from these shackles.

Moreover, the Original Truth has already been disseminated. Perhaps, the Primitive Ancient Clan might again have inheritors walking the world.

I even suspect that Ye Chen might be an inheritor of the Primitive Ancient Clan!

Don’t forget, Ye Chen’s bloodline origin is quite peculiar, even to me, it’s completely unfathomable.

And the Original Truth coincidentally fell into his hands, perhaps higher powers have started orchestrating all this!”

Luo Qingyi fell into silence.

Could Ye Chen really be from the Primitive Ancient Clan?

After a moment, Luo Qingyi shook her head and said, ”It’s unlikely, if someone were truly orchestrating all this, the Original Truth should have fallen directly into Ye Chen’s hands, but Ye Chen obtained the Original Truth through an unreliable master uncle.

Also, I’ve observed Ye Chen cultivating the Original Truth; it looks convincing, but he’s just imitating movements, let alone capturing the spirit, he can’t even grasp the form perfectly.”

The middle-aged man of the Dragon Race said, ”Whether he is or isn’t, don’t rush to conclusions, let’s wait and see.”

”Uncle Long, I’m going back down. Ye Chen is tempering the sword body, I need to keep an eye on him, lest he causes trouble again, he’s quite a single-minded person, sometimes acting without thinking.”

”Mm, go.”

After Luo Qingyi left.

The middle-aged man from the Dragon Race had a complex look, gazing at the solitary grave beside him, sighed heavily, and then with a flash of light, his figure melded into the ground.
