Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 287: Chapter 141: This Mentor Really Has Me Panicking

The day for selecting mentors has finally arrived, but Su Yue, after pondering all night, still has no clue.

On the playground, all the students gathered together.

The eight mentors didn’t sit down; they stood in the center of the field, waiting for students to come to them.

Since the semester started, the progress at West Martial has been the slowest, and students have already memorized the information on each mentor. Everyone has their own ideas about who they want to choose.

Su Yue stood in the queue with vacant eyes.

Choosing a mentor is such a headache.

Xiang Jing Mountain read a long speech, and finally, the students began to make their choices.

Su Yue observed from the back.

As expected.

The most students walked towards Xiang Jing Mountain, and naturally, there were no particularly weak ones among them.

Students also approached the other mentors.

Apart from Xiang Jing Mountain and the Class Two teacher, who had crowds around them, the other mentors had rather sparse numbers, mostly around six or seven students.

Du Jing’s Book’s choice was quite surprising.

He chose the third-ranked mentor who doesn’t care about anything.

Su Yue thought about it again.

It actually makes sense.

Behind Du Jing’s Book, there’s a not-so-weak Du Family.

In the Du Family, it’s impossible to lack quality battle tactics, and surely, the Du Family would find a way to have Du Jing’s Book go to the Wetlands for training.

He purely came for the Heart Method.

Even though following Xiang Jing Mountain would help Du Jing’s Book improve rapidly, the resources would overlap.

The Du Family doesn’t lack resources or connections, but Du Jing’s Book cannot afford to lose freedom.

Following Xiang Jing Mountain means losing freedom.

Du Jing’s Book choosing freedom is quite normal.

It’s easier to understand other students’ choices.

Those following the vice principal might have some resources at home, but not to the extent of Du Jing’s Book, so they need a powerful backing.

The other students who didn’t choose Xiang Jing Mountain simply weren’t strong enough.

In the end, they chose a mentor based on their specialties.

The second-ranked mentor specializes in defense systems, which is also West Martial’s most famous discipline, so it’s also an option for students.

As for the students standing with Du Jing’s Book in Class Three, they are really not worth mentioning.

They barely pass, only just reaching West Martial’s standard, and most of them are still at 19 cards. Their immediate priority is to seal the level.

They went to Class Three because the other teachers weren’t very welcoming.

Su Yue glanced at Mentor Sima Lingling again.

Undoubtedly, she is the most unfortunate among the mentors, the MVP without a doubt.

The minimum admission standard for Class Eight is the Golden Bone Elephant.

It’s simply a joke.

But even so, there was still a very short girl in front of her.

Looking at this girl, she obviously fits the third condition: living in harmony with the world.

Speaking of living in harmony with the world, Su Yue suddenly remembered Liao Ping.

It seems there are auxiliary systems at North Martial too. Would this guy also choose auxiliary systems?

Though the numbers are small, Sima Lingling is a very kind-looking old lady. She’s a bit plump and dressed simply, like the old ladies who dance in front of residential squares.

Despite the rather awkward situation, the old lady still had a smiling expression.

At this point, only the solitary Su Yue was left on the playground.

Everyone was watching him.

Even some of the senior students at the edge of the playground were also observing Su Yue.

This guy’s situation is too special.

From the start, he made a splash, taking on ten people with ease and elegance.

If there are no accidents in the four years of university, he might graduate as a formidable fifth-grade person.

Who would this guy choose?

Xiang Jing Mountain looked at Su Yue with a serious face. In fact, he didn’t have a good impression of Su Yue; he skipped the freshman assembly, was arrogant, and nonchalant.

But if Su Yue chose him, Xiang Jing Mountain would still wholeheartedly guide him.

Education is education, preference is preference; he can differentiate the two.

The third-ranked mentor was also smiling at Su Yue, as if to say: Young man, the freedom you desire is all here.

The other mentors had no thoughts about Su Yue.

He is a very extreme student.

The choice of such a person would also be extreme to the limit.

”Su Yue, are you hesitating because you don’t need a mentor? Or do you think the West Martial mentors can’t teach you anything?”

After a few more minutes, Su Yue was still thinking.

Xiang Jing Mountain finally couldn’t help but ask.

His temper was already not good, and these days he was purely suppressing his anger forcefully.

Xiang Jing Mountain’s brother was serving in the Zhenqin Corps, but recently, he became a prisoner of the Yangxiang Sect and is reportedly going to be executed in 13 days.

These days, Xiang Jing Mountain has been trying to gather information, but without any clue.

Frustrated and chaotic, Xiang Jing Mountain’s temper has always been on the verge of exploding.

”Uh, sorry, can I think for a few more minutes?”

Su Yue sighed.

He definitely couldn’t choose Xiang Jing Mountain.

He felt he couldn’t withstand being too strictly disciplined; if any conflict arose, it would be even more unpleasant.

As for occasional guidance in confusion, Su Yue could call Pan Yizheng or Li Xingpei, and in the worst case, Xu Baiyan and Yang Lezhi; West Martial still had Mu Cheng and Bai Xiaolong.

Others needed a mentor, but they didn’t have such a luxurious circle of friends as he did.

But absolute freedom.

Did he need it?

Although, choosing a mentor wouldn’t delay his access to resources at West Martial, having a free mentor is always a way to learn something.

But with a mentor who doesn’t care about anything, it would be boring.

”Su Yue, are you treating West Martial like your backyard?

”Taking your time to choose a mentor, the information on the mentors has long been released on West Martial’s official website. What have you been doing all these days? Why didn’t you study it earlier?”
