Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 256: Chapter 134: Respect the Elderly and Cherish the Young—Virtues of Humanity

The retirement home wasn’t small.

Inside, there were small bridges and flowing water, artificial hills and small fountains, it was simply a paradise.

In such a large courtyard, five elders lived there.

Two old ladies, three old men.

Da She Wan was the head of the local bullies, he claimed he was the leader here.

One old lady was called Big Girl, the other Second Girl.

Su Yue skillfully sliced the fruit platter, but he was a bit wary of the two old ladies.

The other two old men were playing chess.

Hmm!

At first glance, Su Yue thought it was Go, but it turned out to be Gomoku.

It’s said that the two men had been battling for a day and a night.

The old men playing chess introduced themselves.

One was called White Chess Piece.

The other was called Black Chess Piece.

They claimed to be reclusive cultivators.

The fruit platter was ready.

Su Yue divided it into five portions and served it to the elders one by one.

The chess players still hadn’t determined a winner.

The two old ladies were trying out lipstick shades.

Da She Wan had changed his clothes again, this time dressing like Akatsuki.

”Did Su Qingfeng send you here to practice the Moon Nether True Scripture?”

Big Girl asked while applying lipstick.

”My father didn’t specifically say, but I hope the seniors can give me some guidance.”

Su Yue cupped his fists and spoke elegantly.

The shade of lipstick on Granny might not suit her, Death Barbie Pink was too fierce.

But Su Yue didn’t dare to make any comments.

If anything went wrong, he’d have to pay, and he couldn’t afford it.

”Hmm, you’re quite polite for a young boy.

”Back then, the five of us lost a bet to Su Qingfeng; if he could bring us a token, we agreed to teach the Moon Nether True Scripture.

”But Su Qingfeng made us look bad, so we have to set a little challenge for you.”

Da She Wan nodded as he spoke.

”Yes, back then Su Qingfeng beat me thrice in chess without mercy, this hatred is irreconcilable.”

Black Chess Piece said.

”He beat me seven times; that day was cloudy with thunder and lightning, it was the darkest and most shameful day of my life as White Chess Piece.”

White Chess Piece’s hair and beard were all white, like an angry Master Zhang.

”Su Qingfeng broke my lipstick and didn’t pay for it; I want him to pay in blood.”

Second Girl’s eyes were filled with fury.

”Ah... was my father really this fierce back then?”

Su Yue took a sharp breath.

Dad too.

Bullies a group of old people.

Dares to bully them.

Even though the two old men made countless mistakes in chess, you should have let them win intentionally.

Make the old folks happy.

Finally, Su Yue looked at Big Girl.

He didn’t know how his father had offended her.

”Don’t look at me, if Su Qingfeng offended them, it’s like he’s offended me, Big Girl. This grudge must be avenged.”

Big Girl said matter-of-factly.

”Senior masters, how do you plan to settle these grudges?”

Su Yue asked with a pained expression.

A son’s duty to avenge his father.

After all, we’re coveting someone else’s Moon Nether True Scripture.

Su Yue didn’t expect that the other third of the Moon Nether True Scripture would be in the retirement home, it was an unexpected joy.

Bai Xiaolong once said, the third of Moon Nether True Scripture, might be just a slightly stronger Heart Method, at most it’s at an upper level.

But if he could unlock two-thirds of the acupoints, it would definitely be at a top level.

Happiness came too suddenly, Su Yue had to grasp it.

It seems that although his dad is in prison, he’s not completely neglecting him, he’s quietly arranged some things.

Of course, judging by the emotions of these five elders, it doesn’t seem easy to deal with.

”Su Yue, you are still young, at our age, we’ve tasted all the flavors of life.

”So, the test we give you is to taste all the flavors of life.”

Da She Wan said with a sinister smile.

”The flavors of life?

”Sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, salty?”

Su Yue was puzzled.

Could it be they’ll make me drink vinegar?

It indeed sounds tough.

”That’s right, only after experiencing the hardships of these flavors, will you qualify to practice the Moon Nether True Scripture. If you don’t have extraordinary endurance, then this Moon Nether True Scripture isn’t suitable for you.”

Second Girl said.

”Seniors, specifically... how do I face the challenge?”

Su Yue took a deep breath, showing fearlessness.

These old folks seem to mean trouble.

But what storms haven’t I, Su Yue, experienced? What to fear?

”For the sour part, I’ll test you.

”Within a day, you need to eat 100 lemons, it’s not that difficult.”

White Chess Piece said.

Upon hearing this, Su Yue felt a bit sour in his teeth.

Eat lemons raw, you guys can think of anything.

”The old Taoist’s part is sweet.

”In one go finish one bottle of icy cola, drink 100 bottles in a day.”

Black Chess Piece said.

”Senior, wouldn’t that cause diabetes?”

Su Yue began to worry.

”My challenge is bitterness.

”Bitter melon paired with goldthread, a hundred of them.”

Da She Wan said with a plain smile.

”We sisters are in charge of spicy and salty.

”Ever heard of devil peppers? A hundred of them.

”Know surströmming? A hundred cans.”

The two old ladies showed no mercy.

Su Yue was at a loss in the wind.

Is this salty?

Or is it obviously stinky?

Surströmming.

Are you playing with me?

If these were just for tasting, that’d be okay.

But to eat them, that’s too brutal.

All starting at 100, this is simply a hellish test.

”We five are kind reclusive experts, we won’t deliberately make things difficult for a youngster like you.

”You can break these tests into five days and complete them separately, whenever you’re ready, just come.

”Alright, it’s getting late, if you don’t have anything else, then...”

Su Yue cupped his fists.

Ready to say ’see you later.’

He needed to think about how to tackle these five challenges of sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, and salty.

”If there’s nothing else, you can start getting ready for your meal.”
