Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 232: Chapter 128: The Voice of the Beast Selection Waist Bag_2

”There are a total of eight such pilot projects.

”However, the other seven pilot Wuda have successfully submitted their research, and two of them are even class B universities.

”Qingwu is the only one that hasn’t succeeded, which has attracted the inspection team, especially since the funding is substantial. The Ministry of Education can’t just ignore it.

”Even professors from the other seven Wuda have come together, and this time Qingwu has lost face completely.”

The school leader sighed.

He was filled with grievances that he couldn’t vent.

Actually, without him saying much, the situation at Qingwu might spread in a few days.

”So that’s how it is, looks like it’s quite troublesome.”

Wang Nanguo had gone through the incident with Xiong Taiguang, knowing how dreadful negligence can be. If it hadn’t been for Su Yue, he would have ended up in jail.

”Being investigated?”

Su Yue frowned as well.

This was truly not good news for Ding Beitu.

He had initially understood the pilot on wetland linguistics.

First of all, the four major Martial Arts Academies and the Warring States Military Academy are very busy and have no time to research these topics.

Similarly, prestigious A-class universities like Hua Wu, Jing Wu, Fu Wu, Jiaowu... don’t have the time to research this either.

Eventually, the education ministry assigned the project to lower-ranked universities, even two B-class ones.

Of course, the eight Wuda are also in competition with each other.

Who would have thought that Qingwu would end up last?

”Leader, do you know why Qingwu is at the bottom? By all accounts, Teacher Ding is quite capable.”

Su Yue asked with furrowed brows.

The leader looked at Su Yue, irritated.

You’re not an elite student of the four major Martial Arts Academies or a gold bone image. How can you speak so carelessly?

But considering he was with Director Wang and Director Wang seemed interested, he decided to share some grievances within the school:

”You may not know.

”For environmental linguistics research, the professor’s level is one aspect, but more important is the bark from the wetland’s rare trees.

”Director Wang should often fight in the wetland; you know how hard it is to buy that bark.

”Other Wuda had better luck; some have a strong relationship with the four major Martial Arts Academies, some principals are graduates of the Warring States Military Academy, and some Wuda directly liaised with the Military Department and bought the bark at a high price.

”But Qingwu was unlucky. We also bought a batch from the Yan Gui Corps. Unfortunately, unpredictable events occurred; the office accidentally caught fire, and the entire batch of bark was burned to ashes.

”Director Wang should understand that the bark is not afraid of being soaked, nor corroded, but it is particularly susceptible to fire. It catches fire immediately without a chance of extinguishing it.

”Speaking of which, this has something to do with Ding Beitu. He was the only one left in the office that day, researching overnight, which led to a small fire due to a socket short-circuit... Alas...”

The school leader sighed repeatedly.

”Will Qingwu put all the blame on Teacher Ding?”

Wang Lu Feng exclaimed in surprise.

With only Ding Beitu in the office, he definitely can’t escape the blame.

”Qingwu can’t really blame Ding Beitu; he was just eager to research, and no one wants to face incidents like fires.

”But since the accident has happened, someone has to be responsible.

”After the inspection team leaves, Qingwu plans to hold a meeting. To put it lightly, Qingwu’s research funding will be cut in half.

”To put it heavily, even the pilot project might be canceled. After all, Divine Land does not allow inefficient departments to exist.”

At this point, the school leader looked even more dejected.

”Is there no way to salvage the situation?”

Wang Lu Feng asked anxiously.

”Actually, the root of everything is still the bark.

”Even if the education ministry cancels all funding, Qingwu wouldn’t mind, as it’d merely mean no salary or bonuses, and tightening belts could still save on meals for the professors.

”They are scholars dedicated to their research, not very interested in fame and fortune.

”But without funding, Qingwu can’t afford to buy the bark, and without it, the professors have nothing to research, leading to a vicious cycle where the research lab might be canceled. It’s just a matter of time.”

The school leader was also helpless.

”Wait a minute, I’ll make a call to see if I can help Ding Beitu get a few pieces of bark.

”But the hope isn’t great; I can only give it a try.”

Wang Nanguo pondered with his head down.

After all, he had previously insisted on letting Wang Lu Feng go to Hongyuan City for the joint examination, and helping Ding Beitu was also fulfilling his son’s wish.

”Uncle Wang, you don’t need to make the call yet.”

As Wang Nanguo took out his phone, Su Yue directly intervened.

With Wang Nanguo’s level, at most he could get one or two pieces, which wouldn’t be useful.

But the school leader was upset.

Seriously, are you messing things up?

I’ve been complaining here to get this director to step in; the Investigation and Arrest Bureau is a practical unit, and the director might have connections in the Military Department.

The bark is precious. Every piece we can get is valuable.

But you...

If you can’t help, fine, but you’re actually interfering.

”Oh, it’s Teacher Ding and the others!”

Suddenly, Wang Lu Feng called out in amazement.

Indeed.

A large group of people was coming through the school gate.

In the center were four or five members of the Ministry of Education’s inspection Martial Artists, moving with the stride of dragons and tigers. They didn’t have the aura of educators at all and looked more like people from the Investigation and Arrest Bureau.

And beside them, there were professors from other schools.

The teachers’ eyes clearly showed some mockery.

After all, Qingwu was once so proud, but now being in last place, well, they deserved it.

At the end were the dejected Qingwu professors.

Ding Beitu looked particularly haggard.

Su Yue frowned.
