Chapter 2204: Efivara God

Sylas still wasnʼt aware of what his mischievous little sister was planning just for the sake of her own entertainment.

Well, to say it was just for her entertainment wasnʼt actually all that fair. But it was easily about 50% of the reason.

There were certainly other worlds she could have picked that fit the criteria, but they wouldnʼt have been as straightforward. Plus, it wasnʼt like Sylas had the time to be messing about either.

If he couldnʼt get strong enough fast enough, in eight months or so all the work he had put into the Sanctum would fall into the hands of somebody else. What choice did he have other than to be as quick as possible?

If he was going to make enemies of powerhouses very soon anyway, he might as well do so from a position of strength.

And if that meant pissing the Efivara powerhouses off, he was going to just have to do that.

While Sylas didnʼt know what his sister was thinking, though… he noticed the oddities of the Efivara the instant he ran into the second group of them.

His senses were too sharp. The moment he ran into the first group of three, he immediately thought that they were an existence around the C-tier or so.

That should be very manageable. Though C-tiers of the Demi-God Plane were certainly on a completely different level of power, and Sylas himself had yet to perfect his Classes to shore up the rest of the leveling and power he would need to truly fight above his weight class on the Demi-God Plane like he had on the Mortal Plane, he was still very confident.

After all, a C-tier Race was a C-tier Race whether they were Demi-God or not. With his D-tier Rune Creation, they didnʼt really stand much of a chance.

With the world helping on top of that?

Well, for once, he thought he was seeing just how mature his little sister had become. This was especially so since this was the last gasp of this world, it wouldnʼt fight at all once Earth fully integrated.

The transition would be seamless and perfect.

But then something weird happened.

The next group of Efivara Sylas ran into were actually… D-tier?

This wasnʼt a D-tier of strength level, but instead Race level. If he had just ran into a few D-tiers after running into C-tiers, maybe it wouldnʼt be that shocking at all. In fact, it would be understandable. Not everyone of a Race could possibly be at their peak level of strength.

But no… they were C-tiers in terms of strength, but D-tier in terms of talent.

This was still somewhat acceptable. There was still some variation between the Races. For example, Earth had A-tiers as the Grimblades, but most of their people were probably still F-tier Humans.

They benefitted quite a bit from Earth reaching the Demi-God Plane, and their entire lives were being overhauled right about now, something that would surely have them over a toilet, on the toilet, or in the shower for a good extended while. But… This felt different.

The Wills of these people were basically identical. Not in terms of the fact they were all the same person, they were definitely different people. No, the oddity here was that each one of them was radiating Will from the same foundations.

If Sylas went back and checked the people of Earth, the Wills of the Grimblades were very distinct from the Wills of any one of the other families, and certainly different from the Wills of those who werenʼt from large families at all.

But these people shared the same root, and were somehow…

ʼDifferent.ʼ

Sylasʼ gaze flashed. This was very interesting to him, especially since he had just come out of a Split Realm where Wills were constantly fluctuating on him.

This situation reminded him of that one, albeit a bit different. In this case, the fluctuation was between people and not happening on the same person.

Sylas spotted a small village in the sandy dunes ahead, and his gaze couldnʼt help but sharpen.

They were preparing for war, but each one of them was so particularly different….

He sensed D-tiers and C-tier Races, but then he spotted a B-tier in Race with E-tier in strength. Then he spotted another B-tier with A-tier strength, but they were holding a baby who Sylas was pretty sure was barely an E-tier in Race.

ʼ… What is going on here?ʼ

Sylas had never seen something like this before.

All of them had the same elevated markings on the faces, but sometimes those markings looked like a pus-filled infection, and at other times they looked like they held the secrets of the universe.

What was even odder was that this progression went from child to adult, and not from low strength to high strength.

Meaning, even if your markings had become beautiful and seemed to swim with shimmering elements, it didnʼt mean you were particularly powerful.

Sylas spotted a particularly beautiful woman with little more than a white band holding up her chest and a straw skirt protecting her lower half. Her markings radiated a resplendent blue that looked as though a royal blue star was giving off solar flares within her.

And yet, as beautiful as she was, oddly enough, her Race was only that of a D-tier Grade.

It was so… peculiar.

In the middle of the village, a group of men with beefy arms and raging power coursing through their veins hauled up a statue with ropes attached to it, beating their chests with a hand from time to time as though they were more interested in making noise and roaring than getting the statue up in a reasonable amount of time.

Sylas didnʼt understand their language, but he did understand their Will, as such he knew what they were doing.

They were worshipping a god.

That Godʼs statue finally rose to its tallest peak.

BOOM.

The men released their ropes and the statue stood tall.

Sylasʼ pupils constricted into pinholes.

ʼ… Nosphaleen?ʼ
