Chapter 1530 Executionerʼs Chain [Bonus]

[Bonus thanks to the sweetest boy, grim_reaper_2258 :)]

Cassarae leaned back in a flying pod that barely had enough space for her to slightly peek her head up. This wasnʼt even a real flying vessel; it was an escape pod from her original flying ship. She and the others that had been with her all took one to escape, but she had taken an extra one for precisely this occasion.

The original one she had had been destroyed and stolen when she was captured. But this one had been stored away in her Executionerʼs Necklace... if it could be called that. [Executionerʼs Chain (222)][Even the Reaper of All needs some reinsl[+900% Luck] [Curse Status: Cannot be unequipped]

After she perfected her Class, her necklace had undergone a shocking evolution. Not only did it go from +400% Luck to +900%, but it gained an odd Curse Status that simultaneously hid it and made it impossible for her to unequip.

She didnʼt really understand what this meant, but what she did know was that others couldnʼt detect her necklace any longer, and it had also gained massive storage simultaneously.

Thanks to this, she was able to store something like her escape pod, triggering its use at the perfect time.

When the evolution of her bloodline was triggered by Sylas, there was a strong protection formed around her. She didnʼt know where this came from either—whether it was the System or a mysterious power even beyond it. Somehow, she felt like it just might be the latter.

But whatever it was, it shattered the restrictions placed on her and gave her the breathing room she needed to escape.

However, she knew that escaping into the ether wasnʼt going to save her in the slightest. An escape pod had excellent short burst speed, far beyond any vessel of equivalent level. But what it lacked was stamina and staying power. She might outrun Fowlerʼs ships for a short while, but she would inevitably be caught.

So, instead, she played a small trick, pretending to escape into the distance when she, in reality, found an asteroid to hide in.

She had noticed during her capture that these asteroids were in an odd, rhythmic orbit. From time to time, they would get especially close to the border of the Milky Way Galaxy. The space between galaxies was often large regions of no-manʼs land. Many called them ”the void.” The larger the territory grade in question, the more dangerous being trapped in this void was.

For example, it was relatively fine between Districts or Quadrants, but at the Galaxy level there was already some danger. Between Sectors, there was already no one in the Milky Way Sector that would dare to cross a void territory without a hyper highway and exceptional planning.

The fact Fowler was taking the chance of being lost in the vastness of space just to do whatever he was doing here was beyond Cassaraeʼs understanding right now.

But what she knew for certain was that it was more helpful to her than not right now. Because of Fowlerʼs decision, she was within a single slingshot of the Milky Way Galaxy. And the moment she could cross into i...

SHUUUU.

Her pod shot in, a swelling of strength filling her bones. It was subtle, but her sense of understanding toward her own body was probably only inferior to Sylas in terms of the F-tier of the Milky Way Sector.

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

The foolish drones that tried to follow after her crashed and burned, shattering against the Systemʼs protections. The Milky Way Galaxy was already under a certain level of protection as it was a weak galaxy. But while it was undergoing evolution, this protection was even more stringent.

Cassarae leaned her head back and laughed a laugh that was anything but ladylike. ”Fuck you all, sick, twisted, ballless bastards. Just you fucking wait, Iʼm taking a strap- on to all your asses when I hit the C-tier. Iʼm not leaving a single fucking Leava behind, watch me you sons of bitches—! SHIT.”

Cassaraeʼs string of curses was interrupted by a beam of light that shot right at her.

She slammed a foot down and the curved glass of her pod shot open, ejecting her out with so much force her heart stopped beating until she slammed a fist into it.

Cassarae turned a set of blazing blue eyes toward a ship that looked like it was somehow well-polished and simultaneously right out of the junkyard at the same time.

It looked rustic and industrial, large screws piecing together its armor-like shingles, while large tubes of what looked like a giantʼs HVAC system hung out from its back. Cassarae spiraled through the depths of space, the cold biting into her body. Radiant blue covered her, the protective mechanisms of the escape pod stopping her from being eviscerated by the blast.

”Fuck you! Fuck you! Fuck you!” Cassarae screamed, knowing the sound would never make it to them in the first place. Even if sound didnʼt travel without the help of Will or Aether in the depths of space, the distance was simply much too far. ”Iʼm a fucking noble woman—a MARRIED noble woman.”

infuriated, Cassarae reached for her back, pulling out her Executioner Blade. It pulsed with the blazing light of her blue Will, her body seemingly ignoring all of its injuries as she brought out an item and crushed it.

With a flicker she vanished just as another beam of light cut across where she had just been.

BOOM.

Cassarae landed on the hull of the ship, her eyes blazing with light. Runes lit up, forming layers of protections and lines of defense.

It was all futile.

She had quite some fear for the Leava Clan, not to mention the powerful subordinates that followed after Fowler.

She had none of that fear for the Trakar.

And she was suddenly in need of a punching bag.

Raising her sword, she pierced straight downward. The illusion of a guillotine followed a path down behind her, and it practically felt as though the ship was sliced in two.
