Chapter 1445: Egg to a Rock. Ant to a Boot. [Bonus]

However, there was someone who didnʼt take a step back.

Sylas.

His body was frozen in place, but his Will was not. With a thought, his Scorned Wraps reached forward in place of his hand, catching Veyricʼs wrist and pulling him toward his palm.

Sylas roared and his True Pride Seed took effect, wrapping around him and forming a world under his Willʼs control.

The suppression of the B-tier vanished in the blink of an eye and Sylas pulled up hard.

”Fire,” he said coldly.

The cannons of their vessel churned.

Maybe if he was holding back as much as he had planned to, he would have truly struggled in a battle against these two. But right now, he didnʼt have the luxury to relax or remain calm.

They were wasting his time and they deserved to die.

His Demonic Will was speaking. Since he had sentenced them to death, die they would—regardless of who was protecting them.

”Fool,” the B-tier said coldly, his voice attacking Sylas again.

Sylasʼ grip on Veyricʼs wrist tightened as the cannon suddenly fired. In fact, he didnʼt even spare the B-tier a glance, because right about now, he was going to suffer a great deal.

BOOM.

Sylas lifted Veyric up and slammed him downward.

Veyricʼs expression changed, but it was already much too late. His eyes burned first, then came his tongue. His mouth, open in a roar of pain, caused him to choke on the ash of his own making.

He crumbled to pieces before he even made it to the earth.

Kraziel had only just regained his bearings in time to see the result. He was also in time to realize that the B-tierʼs second set of words never reached Sylas in the first place. Instead, a beam of light collided with the ship formed of three dense black blocks.

Sylas waved a hand and Nosphaleenʼs backward retreat fell right into the Hibernation Realmʼs portal.

Instantly, the weight on Sylasʼ Will vanished and he began to recover in real time. As though wool had been pulled from his eyes, he could finally see again, breathe again even.

And he used that new freedom to slam a fist right across Krazielʼs chin.

Kraziel took a heavy step backward, shock still evident in his eyes. But it also seemed that the strike was enough to wake him up. He didnʼt even have the time to grieve for his lost brother, or realize just how infuriated he should be right now.

All he felt was a vast emptiness as his training of many years kicked in all at once.

A blade appeared in his hands and he swung it toward Sylasʼ next strike. He felt the suppression of a Comprehension suddenly take hold of him. It was like his movements were being imprinted onto the world ahead of time, as though he was being seen through in ways he couldnʼt comprehend.

He immediately tried to break it, his Will pulsing out, and a familiar aura his brother had used trying to take form.

However, this time, it couldnʼt even take root. Sylasʼ Primus Luminaria Crown was very much still there. Even a B-tierʼs Will couldnʼt shatter it.

Before him… all Rune Masters were suppressed.

BANG. BANG. BANG.

Sylas unleashed a whirlwind of combinations, his speed becoming faster and faster. One could practically feel the urgency in his expression, and though Kraziel was on his back foot continuously, his combination of treasures was far beyond anything Jala had been able to replicate in the past.

Every time Sylas felt like he could confirm a kill, Kraziel would shift out of the way, or reflect his attack, or even suddenly unleash an attack he hadnʼt even geared up for in the first place.

However, Sylas didnʼt panic even though he should have been worried about the retaliation of the B-tier.

It was like he had completely forgotten that there was such a threat on the horizon at all.

He slapped out a palm and nearly broke Krazielʼs guard as he pushed his sword-wielding hand off to the side. With his wrist still broken, though, Sylas followed up with a front kick as though kicking down a door.

Kraziel took a heavy step backward, almost falling to the ground but managing to catch his foot as Sylasʼ kicking foot slammed to the earth beneath them, his body spinning into a heel kick with his other.

Every attack was sharp and violent as a roar of fury finally peeled through the skies.

The B-tier.

However, as soon as this roar appeared, it vanished just as quickly as a menacing Will spread across the clouds.

As expected, the B-tier no longer dared to make so much noise as their ship was sent blasting out of the moonʼs orbit.

Krazielʼs expression changed as he understood. Sylas had somehow broken the rules of the system just now, but just because Sylas had the ability to do so didnʼt mean their elder did as well.

The B-tierʼs ship was already blazing a path back, but by then, it would be too late.

Kraziel was trying to hold on—just a little bit longer, just a little bit longer.

The ship tore back into the moonʼs atmosphere. This time, its shields were up. Even if Old Brama wanted to send it blasting away again, there was simply no way it would work.

ʼIʼm going to make it. Iʼm going to—ʼ

Sylas summoned Nosphaleen again, a pair of golden slit eyes appearing to his back.

In that moment, it was as though Nosphaleen had never been injured in the first place, like she had recovered in the mere few seconds that had just passed.

Kraziel knew it was over.

Despair colored his eyes just in time for the expression to follow right into the dullness that followed.

Sylas grabbed his neck.

”STOP!”

Sylas didnʼt even pause. He tossed Kraziel into the air, his heel kicking straight up practically through his jaw.

The Veil Human was sent flying into the skies, but Sylasʼ body flickered and vanished, catching him at his high point.

He took a strong step in the air as though it was solid ground, a large crater appearing in the ground hundreds of meters below.

His emerald gaze landed on the ship that was blazing for him, his body turned, his shoulder cocking back as he unleashed Krazielʼs body as though he was throwing a fastball rather than a human being.

Sylas very well could have killed Kraziel using the Scorned Wraps again. He could have killed him by pouring his Glassvolt Aether into him. He could have killed Kraziel even by taking his armor off and slitting his throat.

He didnʼt choose any of these methods.

Instead, he used Krazielʼs body like an egg to a stone. That protection formation the B-tier was using to stop his ship from being flung back into space was all he needed.

Krazielʼs death didnʼt even make a sound, as though his life was meaningless from the very start.

Like an ant crushed beneath a boot, he splattered into a rain of blood.
