Genetic Ascension

Chapter 1423: Nothing To Do With It.

SHU.

The vessel snapped out of hyper space, the Hub of the Milky Way Sector looming beneath them.

”We have spare parts, right?” Sylas asked, looking toward Old Brama who nodded in return.

At this point, the old man didnʼt know why Sylas asked him these questions. He had clearly come here knowing that they definitely had spare parts. What if Old Brama said no? Would they just have made a wasted trip?

Either way, it was true. After fusing five ships together into this singular, sleek behemoth, it was only natural that there be many redundant parts.

Old Brama had planned to sell them piece-wise after all fo this blew over, but he was a bit busy still tinkering and refining this one. So it wasnʼt as though he had all the time in the world to deal with those matters.

”Good. Stock them up into a spatial device. Then weʼll set off again.”

…

Soon, they were up and away again.

A distance away, the Ossarans were trailing behind them at a cautious distance, but not one that seemed overly afraid either.

Sylas wasnʼt foolish enough to try and end them. Not only would he not gain much from it, it wouldnʼt necessarily be possible.

A ship like that one definitely had escape pods, and there were definitely powerhouses on it.

Even heavily suppressed, Old Brama couldnʼt possibly fight all of them. The fact the Ossarans dared to come in the first place meant that if they were cornered, they would be prepared to deal with the situation.

But on a deeper level than that… what options did they have with a ship in that state?

Going to a nearby Sanctum was their best bet.

They might be separate in their eyes, but under the eyes of the Emperor Sanctum, they were one.

And there were rules to ensure such.

Sylas stepped into the Sanctumʼs Hub. It had barely been a few days since the last time he was here, and the only reason it took so long was because of the distances they had to cross the queue waiting time.

However…

He was still at the top of the leaderboards with a nice +147,000 points for his troubles.

Sylas didnʼt go to the exchange post, though. Instead, he returned to Scorpion Sanctum, using their teleportation channels and then hopping onto the Hollow Wingʼs back.

In a few blinks, it seemed that he had already returned to the mountain range of Gralithʼs disciples, the winds raging and roaring around him.

With a step, he leapt off the Hollow Wingʼs back as it soared back into the Hibernation Realm. It seemed to only be growing fonder of that place these days.

Sylas wasnʼt sure exactly why just yet, but the Hollow Wingʼs foundation seemed to be growing sturdier due to the Hibernation Realm.

It should be because the Hollow Wing was just a baby that was growing into maturity. But that answer was still quite shocking because the acceleration of maturity in the Hibernation Realm should be extremely exaggerated.

How was it that the Hollow Wing was still improving? Just how long would it take to reach maturity if the equivalent of tens of thousands of years wasnʼt enough?

Sylasʼ gaze flickered but he tossed this matter to the back of his mind. No matter how strong the Hollow Wing great, its main limitation was still himself.

Combat Mounts scaled with the person, so until there came a day when the Hollow Wing couldnʼt keep up, it wasnʼt quite worth it to invest too much thought into it, not when Gogo was still lagging so far behind.

”Youʼve returned?” Gralithʼs voice echoed in Sylasʼ ears though he hadnʼt appeared.

”Thereʼs an interesting opportunity.” Sylas said.

”Oh?”

”Right about now, my servant is helping the Ossarans fix their ship.”

Gralith didnʼt reply for a long while when he heard this.

”… Youʼre going to kill the Bat Lineage?”

”The Bat Lineage are going to get themselves killed. I, on the other hand, had nothing to do with it.”

BOOM!

The Scorpion Lineage suddenly shook.

Sylas didnʼt seeme surprised by the shaking on the moon. The shaking on the Sanctumʼs Planet should be several times worse.

You see, the trouble with being like the Kaelthar and over-extending yourself so much was that it was all too easy to reaggravate your pulled muscle, and you were also all too sensitive.

It had been quite a while since Sylas killed Israeal. But if he had to guess—and he certainly always guessed well—the young man probably had a great status in the Kaelthar Clan.

In fact, that was an understatement.

In truth, Israeal was the leader of this generation of Kaelthar. He was the first born of the Patriarch and Matriarch of this generation, and he was the leading figure amongst their F-tiers.

Despite being Level 50, if not for the suppression, his stats would have been superior to even Zolte, who had been a Level 64 E-tier when Sylas killed him.

Sylas didnʼt know if the Ossarans were involved in the matters of the Thryskai or not, but it didnʼt matter if they were.

They certainly were now.

It wasnʼt very difficult at all. All Sylas had to do was let Brama leave a few of Israealʼs things on the ship. As for what happened from there, it certainly didnʼt have anything to do with him, now did it?

The Kaelthar could only blame themselves for constantly provoking him, and the Ossarans could only blame themselves for actually not training their F-tiers well enough to know who to target and who not to.

Sylas flipped a palm and took out his War Point System Badge. He had a feeling that it was about to have a nice change in points.

As expected, the moment Sylas did, there was a rapid change of the numbers.

They kept jumping, leaping upward.

In a flashing instant, they crossed over five million points and they were still climbing.

”Mm. Not bad.”

The numbers didnʼt stop pinging until they hit just under ten million War Points.

9 649 500 C-Grade War Points.
