Chapter 2336: Receive The Tips About Weapon Smuggling

”Miss Tang, right? You are more beautiful than the picture.” Li Xiuying said.

”Thank you, Madam Deng.” Yu Qi smiled.

”No need to call me Madam Deng. Just call me Auntie Li. Can I call you Yu Qi?” Li Xiuying asked.

”Yeah.” Yu Qi nodded. She never thought that Li Xiuying would be this friendly.

”This must be your fiancé, Colonel Long.” Li Xiuying looked at the man beside Yu Qi.

”Yes.” Yu Qi nodded again.

”Xiuying, let them sit first. You can talk more after that.” Deng Zemin stated.

”Oh... Yes... Yes... Come and sit down.” Li Xiuying said.

Yu Qi and Long Hui got seated facing the Deng Family.

”This is my husband, Deng Zemin and my daughter, who you saved previously, Deng Xianjuan.” Li Xiuying introduced her face.

Yu Qi and Long Hui nodded to the two of them.

”Sister, you are so beautiful.” Deng Xingjuan looked at Yu Qi.

”Thank you, sweetheart. You are cute too.” Yu Qi replied.

”Ahh!!! Sister said I am cute.” Deng Xingjuan touched her face.

Deng Zemin and Li Xiuying smiled, seeing the interaction between the two of them.

”Letʼs eat first. I hope the food that I order suits your taste. If you donʼt like it, we can order something else.” Li Xiuying said.

They ate while talking to each other. They also talked about their business. The Deng Family owned a transportation company. They delivered thousands of packages per day. Then, Deng Zemin revealed something else.

”I received a deal from Continent M,” Deng Zemin said.

The statement did not click with anything at all to Yu Qi and Long Hui in the first place. There was nothing wrong with receiving a deal from Continent M.

”The deal is to transport the weapon to a place in our country.” Deng Zemin said.

Those words bell an alarm. Long Hui immediately paid attention to Deng Zemin.

”Are you sure?” Long Hui asked.

”I think so.” Deng Zemin nodded.

Transporting weapons in Binhai Nation was illegal without permission from the military. If someone wanted to own a gun or another firearm, they needed to request permission from the military. The requirement was so strict. If someone got caught owning the weapon, the weapon would be seized, and the person would get a hefty fine. Only some corporations had the permission to own the firearm.

”Where do they want you to deliver the package?” Long Hui asked.

”I think it is an area near the Kinliu Mountain at Shenxian City. I think that is a big number of guns. I told them I would think about that. So, I still donʼt accept the job yet.” Deng Zemin said.

”I donʼt think that they will tell you that the items inside the box are guns. How do you know about it?” Long Hui asked.

”One of my employees accidentally opened the box and saw it was a gun. He was freaked out, closed the box again and rushed over to tell me. That is how I know about that. We did not dare to delay the delivery. Then, the same person approached me asking for the fee for another transportation. This time, it is quite big. Even though the items inside may be something else but I donʼt dare to take a risk.” Deng Zemin said.

”When did they approach you about the matter?” Long Hui asked.

”Last week. They want my company to transport the items in the second week of next month. So, they need an answer by next week.” Deng Zemin said.

”What do you want to do? Do you want to accept the order?” Long Hui asked.

”I donʼt want, but I am afraid that they would harm my family.” Deng Zemin said.

”Is the incident where the man grabbed Xingjuan related to them?” Yu Qi asked.

”I believe so. When the police interrogated the man, he mentioned someone had approached him, telling him about my child. The person fed him a lie, saying that my child had the same illness as her daughter, but my child survived because of money. When the police asked about that person, he said he did not forget him.” Deng Zemin said. ”I fear that they will continue targeting my family if I donʼt accept the order.”

”Yu Qi, I am sorry. I invite you for another reason. Not only to thank you for your help in saving my daughter.” Li Xiuying apologised.

”I donʼt know anyone who can help me with this matter. Then, I remember you saved my daughter. You have a fiancé who is from the military. So, here we are.” Deng Zemin said to Yu Qi.

”We are sorry,” Li Xiuying said.

”Smuggling weapons into the Binhai Nation is a serious crime. If convicted, they can be imprisoned for their whole life.” Long Hui said. ”I need to discuss the situation with the higher-ups first. As for your safety, I will arrange some personnel.”

Hearing this, Li Xiuying and Deng Zemin felt relieved. It was not wrong to seek help from Yu Qi and Long Hui.

”Thank you.” Li Xiuying bowed her head, thanking Yu Qi and Long Hui.

”How about the person who accidentally saw the items?” Long Hui asked.

”He still works for us. Nothing happens to him.” Deng Zemin said.

”Can you tell me his name?” Long Hui asked.

”His name is Kong Qiu. He is 30 years old. Live at Shixiang City.” Deng Zemin stated the details on the name.
