Chapter 2318: Attend The Auction

A beautiful woman walked to the stage. She held the microphone. It seemed she was the MC for this auction.

”Welcome to our guests. We are going to start the auction. I am sure that you would be interested when you see the items.” The woman stated.

Everyone was clapping. Without wasting the time, the woman signalled the people to bring out the first item to be auctioned. Apparently, this auction kept the items to be auctioned a secret. The guest would only know when the item came out on stage.

The first time that came out was a piece of jewellery. It was a necklace had been a piece gem as its center.

”This jewellery is from a gift from Emperor Manhe to his beloved woman, Princess Hami. After Princess Hamiʼs death, all of the jewellery were missing until a man found them on the cave at Mountain Shilu. However, it once again got stolen. Only this one necklace had been found.” The woman explained the origin of the necklace.

Yu Qi looked at necklace intensely.

”Do you like the necklace?” Long Hui asked.

If his beloved Qi Qi liked it, he would bid for it.

”No... Why would I wear something that belong to the death person?” Yu Qi whispered to Long Hui.

The necklace contained a death aura. Yu Qi did not dare to bring something like that home. If people wanted to buy it, then, they could buy it.

People started to bid for it. Since Yu Qi did not want it, Long Hui would not bid for it. The starting price for the necklace was 1 million yuan. After a couple of people bid for it, the price increased to 4.1 million yuan. The last price was 4.5 million and the necklace was sold.

The next item had been brought out to the stage. Once the cover of the item being pulled out, Yu Qiʼs eyes were widely opened.

”This... How could it appear here?” Yu Qiʼs hands were shaking.

”Qi Qi, whatʼs wrong?” Long Hui asked.

”That painting belonged to my master.” Yu Qi pointed to the item on the stage.

The item was a painting. It was a painting where her master painted when he was alive and strong. No wonder when she looked at her masterʼs belonging, she never found the painting again. No wonder... The painting went missing.

The painting was the first painting of her when she first came to learn from her master. That was how she looked like in her masterʼs eyes.

”This painting was from 600 years ago. The girl in the painting was probably a woman that the painter liked. To be able to make a painting that can be froze for hundred of years, the painter was quite skillful. The starting price for this painting is 500,000 million yuan.” The woman stated.m

People who liked the painting started to bid for it. Yu Qi could not let the painting fall into someoneʼs else. She needed to get her painting into her hands. She immediately joined the bid.

”You want to the painting?” Long Hui was surprised that Yu Qi joined the bid.

”It is my masterʼs painting.” Yu Qi whispered.

”You mean that Master Tang?” Long Hui was surprised.

”Yes. I know it and I can feel the Qi from the picture.” Yu Qi said.

Long Hui turned to look at the painting again and focused on it. Indeed. He could feel the faint Qi around the painting.

Yu Qi increased the bid again. The current price was 3 millions yuan. Then, she heard a familiar voice. It was her Senior Brother Xia. He also joined this auction. Her Senior Brother Xia might notice the painting as well. That was why he bid for it.

Yu Qi stopped bidding.

”You donʼt want this painting anymore?” Long Hui whispered.

”I want it. But someone would bid it for me.” Yu Qi grinned.

”So, you want me to bid for it? Okay...” Long Hui raised the plate number and bid for it.

”Why are you bid for it?” Yu Qi asked.

”I thought you want me to bid for it. That is why I bid for it.” Long Hui said.

Before Long Hui got the answer from Yu Qi, another voice increased the price again for the painting. Long Hui finally noticed the voice. It was familiar.

”When you say that someone would bid for it, you mean him?” Long Hui asked.

”Yeah... Senior Brother Xia probably wants this painting to return to its hometown.” Yu Qi stated.

Qin Xia won the bid. The next items that were brought out did not get Yu Qi to be interested in them. One by one, the items were bid on by others. Until this one item. It was a plant. This plant had been placed in the transparent cover. The plant looked withered and was about to die.

Yu Qi recognised the plant. It was a devil eating flesh. It was the same type of Xiaohua. She never thought to see one here. It made Yu Qi wonder if the organiser of this auction had a connection with someone from the cultivation world.

”This plant is very interesting. It likes to eat meat. Let me show you something.” The woman said.

Someone brought some meat. He opened a small space in the cover and threw the meat inside. The flower caught the meat, and the meat immediately disappeared.
