Chapter 2120: Chapter 2120: Desperate To Find The Investor

Because Bai Jian could not get back to Yu Qi, she turned to the internet to spread lies about Yu Qi. She also painted Tang Private Hospital as a hospital that favoured nepotism. Of course, she was not using her own identity to post the articles. She made others do it for her.

People who did not know Yu Qi would scold Yu Qi and the hospital. They said that they would never go there to seek medical attention. Most of the people who told such a thing were the younger generations. The older generation knew how established the Tang Private Hospital was and thought that this article was kind of ridiculous.

Yu Qi narrowed her eyes as she read the article. ʼSo, that is how you want to play. I will take your company into the spotlight as well.ʼ She created an article about one of the shareholders of Bai Corporation who was involved in money laundering. Of course, she did not use the IP in the area. She used the foreign IP to post the article on the internet. Of course, it went unnoticed for a few days until someone blew it up that topic at the recent business conference at Capital City.

Each year, a business conference is held at Capital City, inviting all business owners to participate. Bai Corporation was in a bad situation a few months ago due to an intruder hacking into their server and losing 100 million dollars. They participated in the conference to find potential investors.

Yu Qi also attended it with Long Hui. They stood at the corner watching someone ask Bai Xia Fang and Bai Shu Jin about the matter. Bai Xia Fangʼs expression changed when he heard about that. He obviously did not know about that.

Another business owner asked him if he was also involved in this scandal. Bai Xia Fang denied it professionally. Even though his expression changed before, now, it returned to a normal one, wearing a cold smile.

Even though he denied it, he could not stop other people from talking about that matter. He felt anger rising up. That shareholder... He needed to be cleaned out. With a smile on his face, he asked the people where they heard the news from. One of the people said they had read it in the article on the internet.

Not only that, the police opened an investigation against the shareholder regarding this matter. How has he not heard about this matter sooner? He wanted to leave and deal with that matter but he could not do that. He needed to get the investor into his company.

Bai Shu Jin just noticed Yu Qi and Long Hui standing in the corner. He had a complicated expression on his face. He seemed to want to come over but had been stopped by some people. They were a middle-aged couple with a daughter. They probably wanted to introduce their daughter to Bai Shu Jin.

Bai Shu Jin would not reject outright. They were a potential investor. So, he entertained the couple and the daughter. The daughter seemed to be like Bai Shu Jin so much. Then when the son played, the couple encouraged their daughter to invite Bai Shu Jin to dance together. Before Bai Shu Jin extended his hand to the girl, he cast a glance at Yu Qi. However, Yu Qi did not look at her at all. He was quite disappointed. Because he was not focusing his attention on his dancing partner, the daughter noticed it. She tried to find out why Bai Shu Jin seemed to be distracted.

After looking at where Bai Shu Jinʼs gaze toward someone, she also looked at it. Her thoughts became complicated when she saw the person. That person who dressed in light blue. She looked simple with only earrings and a bracelet.

However, that person was with her partner too. She suddenly felt relieved when she thought about that. She still had the chance to win.

Yu Qi did not pay attention to the Bai Family anymore. She had been surprised by Gu Ning and Wei Ding Ye. She did not expect to see them there.

”Sister Yu Qi...” Wei Ding Ye greeted Yu Qi. Then, she turned to Long Hui and greeted him respectfully. ”Older Cousin Brother Long.”

Long Hui responded with some hmm.

”Good to see you again.” Yu Qi said.

”Yu Qi, Mr Long... Long time no see.” Gu Ningʼs turn to greet them.

Long Hui just nodded.

”Gu Ning... Long time no see.” Yu Qi smiled. ”What are you girls doing here?”

”I am a business owner now. To be exact, we are the business owner now. We opened a studio.” Gu Ning said.

”Oh... Really?” Yu Qi was indeed surprised.

”Yes. We opened a designer studio. We create clothes.” Wei Ding Ye explained.

”Its name is Shiny Night.” Gu Ning stated.

”I see. Thatʼs good.” Yu Qi nodded. ”Does your family know about this?”

”Yes. At first, my mother was not fond of the idea. She wanted me to be working with the government like my father. I donʼt want that. That is not my passion. After a few talks convincing her, she reluctantly agreed with it. As my father, he supported whatever I did right from the start.” Wei Ding Ye said.

”It was the same as my family but it was my father who disagreed with it.” Gu Ning said. ***Thank you, from, your shameless author, ZerahNeko***
