Chapter 943 - 943: Big Brother Want To Get Engaged

”I want to sleep more.” Long Hui sighed.

”It is already 5 am in the outside world. I need to go to work today and you also need to return to Shiwa Town.” Yu Qi reminded Long Hui.

”Okay.... okay... I will get up.. Then, letʼs clean up together.” Long Hui lifted up his eyebrows several times.

”No!” Yu Qi rejected it firmly. If she accepted that, she might not able to go to work today.

.....

”Oh, someone has just returned home this morning.” Tang Jin Wei teased Yu Qi at the dining table.

Yu Qi rolled her eyes. She indeed returned home in the morning. It was 6 am. Grandpa Hang was surprised to see Yu Qi at the front door but he was just smiling without asking any question.

She was grateful to Grandpa Hang since he did not ask any questions but her brother, Tang Jin Wei did have a loose mouth.

”Shut up. It is not your first time spend the night outside. Not like you donʼt spend the night outside before.” Ming Yue shot Tang Jin Wei on the spot.

Tang Jin Wei was aggrieved when he heard the words from his mother. Yu Qi was chuckled while sticking out her tongue at Tang Jin Wei. Tang Jin Wei rolled his eyes back to Yu Qi.

Then, Tang Han Lee came to the dining room. He took a seat beside Yu Qi.

”Morning, Big Brother.” Yu Qi greeted her brother.

”Hmm... Good morning.” Tang Han Lee replied.

He then greeted others in the room. ”Mom, Dad, I have something to tell you.”

So, all of the eyes looked at Tang Han Lee.

”What is it?” Tang Jung Wen asked. It was unusual for his oldest son to speak like this with them.

”As you know, I have a girlfriend. So, I would like to get engaged with her.” Tang Han Lee announced the matter.

Yu Qi was surprised. She remembered that her brotherʼs girlfriend was her friend, Ding Na An. She was currently working as a resident doctor for ophthalmology at Ophthalmology Specialist Centre in the neighbouring city.

She did contact her friends sometimes to ask for their news. She called Ding Na An three days ago. However, Ding Na An did not mention this.

Ming Yueʼs eyes lifted up as soon as she heard about the matter. It was the happiest news that she had been heard.

”Really?” She asked.

”Yeah. I am not joking about this.” Tang Han Lee said.

”Good. Good.” Ming Yue nodded while feeling happy.

”I just want to inform you about the matter. We will discuss this further.” Tang Han Lee stated.

”Okay... okay...” Ming Yue did not care much about his attitude.

She had been worried about her sonsʼ lives. Both of them should already get married. But none of them did. Her oldest son did not pay much attention to the women. On the other hand, her youngest son flirted with the women too much.

Both of them made her worried so much about them. However, after Yu Qi joined the family, things started to change. His oldest son got his girlfriend and her youngest son stuck to one girl.

And today, her oldest son told them that he wanted to step forward on the relationship with the girl. It was indeed great news for her.

In the past, she even suspected that her oldest son was gay. Remembering the matter made her laugh.

”So, what about you?” Ming Yue turned to Tang Jin Wei.

”Huh?” Tang Jin Wei who had been quietly eating his breakfast was dumbfounded by his motherʼs question.

”Donʼt ʼhuhʼ me. When do you want to get married to your girlfriend?” Ming Yue asked.

”I want to enjoy our relationship first.” Tang Jin Wei said.

”Tsk.” Ming Yue clicked her tongue at Tang Jin Wei.

Tang Jin Wei was speechless. ʼWhy is my mother acting like this to me?ʼ Just because his brother wanted to get engaged, she acted like this to him. He wanted to cry.

.....

Ding Na An told her mother about the matter that she wanted to get engaged with Tang Han Lee first. She did not want to get married right away since she had just started her career.

Her mother, Ding Qian Qin was happy to hear that. She was happy that after the incident Ding Na An could accept love from a man in her life.

Ding Qian Qin was afraid that her divorce from Ding Na Anʼs father, Yi Lan made her daughter stayed away from the men like her first daughter, Ding Guan Ye who was currently working as a soldier.

Ding Guan Ye swore that she would never get married in this life. She was traumatised by what her father, Yi Lan, did to their family. To be worse, the mistress-became-wife came and insulted her mother and forced them to move away from the hometown while her so-called father just sat and did nothing to stop that woman.

Even her paternal grandparent ignored them because of their motherʼs family background. They wanted to get rich as soon as possible. So, they supported their son.

Because of that, Ding Guan Ye and Ding Na An changed their surname from Yi to Ding. They needed to move out to another city to begin a new life.

Of course, it was difficult. A single mother wanted to feed her two young daughters. However, she persevered. Now, she was happy to see her daughters being successful in their own careers.
