15: High-speed racingJust then, a samurai-black Mercedes AMG C63 suddenly appeared beside their car and overtook them at an even faster speed.

That pair of iconic ”Devil’s Eye” taillights was displayed right in front of Jiang Yuan’s car, looking somewhat provocative.

”What is this? A race?”

Jiang Yuan muttered. He wasn’t driving very fast, maintaining a speed of 150 kilometers per hour, so being overtaken was normal.

Immediately, the AMG pulled over and slowed down, driving parallel to his brabus g900, and then the passenger window slowly rolled down, revealing the face of a young man.

He was mouthing words, but because of the high speed, Jiang Yuan couldn’t hear what he was saying at all, though he could clearly see his gestures.

The young man gave Jiang Yuan a thumbs-up with both hands, his face full of excitement.

At the same time, the young man driving also honked the horn twice, emitting a low roar.

Seeing this, Jiang Yuan immediately became interested. He chuckled and honked twice, and the two luxury cars, the brabus and the C63, accelerated again.

Even though their speed had already reached 150 kilometers per hour, with one V8 engine and one V12 engine, the surging power that could easily break the 200 km/h mark still brought a strong sense of being pushed back into their seats.

One as big as a behemoth, the other small and agile; a white and a black luxury car raced wildly on the highway, chasing each other.

Fortunately, there weren’t many cars on the highway at this time, and it was close to noon; otherwise, such dangerous driving would eventually lead to an accident.

The top speeds of both cars were about the same, around 300 kilometers, so this contest was entirely about driving skills and the driver’s courage.

In the end, it was Jiang Yuan who first stepped on the brakes, slowing the car down.

After reaching 260 kilometers per hour, he didn’t dare to accelerate any further; after all, there was a great beauty sitting in his passenger seat, and those two seemed to have completely lost their minds.

Gu Xinyu beside him, however, was not afraid at all. She stared straight ahead, her face even carrying a hint of imperceptible excitement; she was clearly enjoying this speed and passion.

Seeing Jiang Yuan slow down, the AMG’s ”Devil’s Eye” taillights lit up immediately, and then the young man in the passenger seat waved again and pointed to a service area not far ahead.

Jiang Yuan understood what they meant and followed the car in front into the service area.

These two were quite interesting, and their license plate started with ”Ji,” which explained why they were so socially outgoing. They must have recognized his brabus g900, which is why they initiated the race and signaled to pull over.

The two luxury cars parked one after the other in the service area parking lot, the low lingering sound of their engines still echoing in the air.

The driver and the passenger of the AMG C63 quickly got out, their faces filled with irrepressible excitement, and walked quickly toward Jiang Yuan’s car.

”Brother, your brabus g900 is too fierce! It’s really rare to see one in the country!”

The passenger walked up, knocked on Jiang Yuan’s car window with the familiarity of an old friend, a playful smile on his face.

Jiang Yuan slowly rolled down the window, revealing his handsome face with a hint of playfulness.

”Street racing isn’t a good habit.”

He said with a chuckle, his tone carrying a bit of friendly advice.

”Haha, no choice, when I see your car, my foot just won’t listen to me!”

The driver also walked over. He looked a bit more composed than the passenger, but deep in his eyes, there was also a burning desire for speed and passion; he was clearly a kindred spirit.

”We are from the Northeast. My name is Zhao Xin. The one driving is my friend, Li Yu.”

Zhao Xin reached out his hand enthusiastically with a bright smile, introducing himself to Jiang Yuan. The unique boldness and straightforwardness of a Northeasterner were palpable.

”Jiang Yuan.”

Jiang Yuan also got out of the car and reached out to shake his hand.

Zhao Xin felt the strength and power of Jiang Yuan’s enhanced hand and couldn’t help but be slightly taken aback, clearly sensing Jiang Yuan’s extraordinary physique.

”Is this your girlfriend?”

Li Yu looked curiously at Gu Xinyu sitting in the passenger seat, his eyes showing a trace of undisguised amazement.

In his view, this was exactly what a beauty in the passenger seat of a luxury car should look like—outstanding appearance and superb temperament.

Gu Xinyu had just experienced the thrill of high speed, and her face still carried a slight blush, but she quickly recovered her professional, elegant smile, cleverly hiding that touch of amazement and shyness.

”Is there something you need?”

Jiang Yuan didn’t directly answer Li Yu’s address regarding Gu Xinyu; instead, he took a cigarette case out of his pocket, handed one to Zhao Xin and one to Li Yu, lit one for himself, and then asked leisurely.

He did not deny their assumption that Gu Xinyu was his girlfriend.

Upon hearing that Jiang Yuan did not directly deny it, Gu Xinyu’s mood, which had been somewhat tense due to the misunderstanding, calmed down, and an indescribable, subtle emotion arose in her heart.

”Nothing major. It’s just that we brothers saw your car in Taian, and we’ve been thinking about it ever since. We thought this car was just too cool!”

Zhao Xin rambled on in a carefree manner. He clearly saw that Jiang Yuan was about their age, and his demeanor revealed an approachable temperament, making him easy to talk to.

Coupled with the exciting experience of racing on the highway earlier, he felt that a sort of ”revolutionary friendship” had quickly been established between them, so he spilled all his curiosity and the reason for coming over.

”We were originally following you, but later when we got to Kuishanju, we couldn’t get in because we didn’t have a reservation. We didn’t expect to meet you again on the highway today; this is truly fate!”

”Is that so? Then, do you want to take it for a spin?”

Jiang Yuan smiled. Seeing Zhao Xin’s love for this brabus, he generously pointed to the imposing G900 beside them.

”Really? Brother! Is this a real brabus g900? I heard this car is only sold abroad and can’t be obtained domestically; you are too awesome!”

Zhao Xin’s eyes lit up instantly, filled with incredulous anticipation. He lowered his voice, his tone full of excitement and curiosity.

”Yeah, an overseas friend figured out a way to get it in for me. Currently, there should only be this one in the whole country.”

Jiang Yuan went along with it. He didn’t have any ”overseas friends”; the System was his most awesome and reliable ”friend.”

”Awesome! Then I won’t be polite!”

Zhao Xin excitedly gave a thumbs-up. With Jiang Yuan’s nod of confirmation, he carefully opened the car door and, with a mix of awe and excitement, sat in the driver’s seat.

At this moment, Gu Xinyu had tacitly come to Jiang Yuan’s side; after all, it really wouldn’t be appropriate for her to sit in the passenger seat with a stranger.

”You should go sit in it too.”

Jiang Yuan smiled at Li Yu, who was also looking on with envy.

”Okay! Then I won’t decline; thank you, Brother Jiang!”

Getting Jiang Yuan’s answer, Li Yu was overjoyed and quickly trotted over to the passenger seat.

”Brother Jiang, can I drive it for a lap?”

After Zhao Xin sat in the driver’s seat, he looked left and touched right, full of curiosity about the G900’s interior and various functions, but he didn’t dare to actually start the car and drive onto the road. After all, the expensive value of this car was almost equal to his family’s entire assets.

Jiang Yuan nodded with a smile: ”Sure, you can try driving it for two laps. Just be safe.”

In any case, they were in a service area, and in this era of big data, there was certainly no fear of the car being stolen.

”Okay! Then I’m really going to try it!”

Zhao Xin chuckled and stepped on the accelerator, and the vehicle slowly began to move.

However, he only carefully drove the brabus around an empty space without other vehicles in the service area for two laps, keeping it within Jiang Yuan’s line of sight the whole time. After having his fill of fun, he drove it back.
