8: Stunning butlerGu Xinyu walked into the suite, her gaze quickly sweeping over the spacious and exquisite living room and the large bed. It wasn’t messy, indicating that Jiang Yuan lived there alone.

Furthermore, her professional demeanor quickly allowed her to recover her composure after her earlier lapse.

Jiang Yuan walked over to the sofa and sat down, gesturing for Gu Xinyu to sit as well.

”Have a seat first, Manager Gu.”

He looked at the private bank manager before him, who possessed both beauty and professionalism, and his curiosity about her service grew.

”Mr. Jiang, please don’t be so formal. Just call me Xinyu.”

Gu Xinyu said softly, sitting upright on the single sofa, her back straight and her posture elegant.

She gently placed the document bag she was holding on the coffee table, then pulled out a document and some cards. She bowed slightly and politely asked, ”Mr. Jiang, this is your upgraded private bank card.”

She presented a luxurious black-gold card with both hands, handing it to Jiang Yuan. Jiang Yuan took it with one hand, his fingertips tracing the cool, smooth surface of the card as he examined it closely.

The card felt excellent in his hand, substantial and heavy, clearly much more high-end than his previous ordinary bank card.

”Mr. Jiang, this is a Platinum Credit Card specially applied for you by our bank, with a maximum limit of thirty million.”

Gu Xinyu’s tone was steady and professional as she continued to introduce it, ”Although you might not need this limit, I believe you will greatly appreciate the various privileges this card offers. China Merchants Bank has deep partnerships with various low, mid, and high-end scenic spots, starred restaurants, luxury hotels, and high-speed rail and air travel services across the country.”

”In addition, it comes with a twenty-four-hour private butler online service, which can make your daily life and travel more convenient, saving you many unnecessary troubles.”

Jiang Yuan reached out again and took the brand new Platinum Credit Card. Although he didn’t say anything, he was slightly shocked when he heard ”thirty million limit.”

”Mr. Jiang, this is your financial management statement.”

Gu Xinyu immediately handed over another document. ”As per your request, the deposit is current, so I could only strive to secure a 0.36% current annualized interest rate for you. Calculated annually, that amounts to about three hundred and sixty thousand in interest.”

”Are you satisfied with this arrangement?”

She explained thoughtfully, using simple, plain language that Jiang Yuan could easily understand, striving for clarity.

”Mhm, that works.”

Jiang Yuan nodded without changing his expression, indicating acceptance.

Seeing how readily he agreed, Gu Xinyu couldn’t help but feel delighted. She hadn’t expected this young rich man to be so easy to deal with, and a smile she couldn’t hide immediately appeared on her face.

”Then, Mr. Jiang, you can sign this statement. Afterward, I will also conduct more detailed planning and management of your deposit to try and earn you more interest.”

Jiang Yuan picked up the statement, looked at the terms in a proper manner, but secretly asked the System in his mind: ’System, is it okay for me to sign this statement?’

”Answering the Host, there is no problem.”

Having received the System’s affirmative reply, Jiang Yuan felt relieved. He immediately picked up the pen and signed his name on the statement with flowing, vigorous strokes.

His handwriting was in the Slender Gold Script, the strokes lean and powerful, yet maintaining substance despite their thinness. It was exceptionally graceful, revealing a unique pride within its delicate sharpness, inspiring admiration in those who saw it.

”Mr. Jiang, your handwriting is truly beautiful, just like you.”

Gu Xinyu saw Jiang Yuan’s calligraphy and couldn’t help but genuinely exclaim in admiration.

This wasn’t her deliberately flattering him; the Slender Gold Script was indeed extremely aesthetically pleasing, much better looking than the handwriting of most people she had seen. Furthermore, Jiang Yuan’s own stunning appearance also made her feel sincere admiration.

Therefore, this compliment came from her true feelings.

”Just something I picked up for a few years when I was bored.”

Jiang Yuan leaned back on the sofa, casually picked up the cigarette box, took out two cigarettes, and offered one to Gu Xinyu, signaling for her to take one.

”I’m sorry, Mr. Jiang, I don’t smoke.”

Gu Xinyu waved her hand, politely declining.

However, she quickly pulled an exquisite lighter from her document bag, stepped forward, and thoughtfully lit Jiang Yuan’s cigarette.

”I specifically carry this in case a client needs a light when smoking. I didn’t expect it to finally come in handy today.”

Gu Xinyu saw a flicker of confusion on Jiang Yuan’s face and explained considerately, demonstrating her meticulousness perfectly.

Jiang Yuan took a deep drag of the cigarette and slowly exhaled, his gaze resting on Gu Xinyu. He said meaningfully, ”You truly are attentive. If someone had a girlfriend like you, they would definitely be very happy.”

’It really is great to be rich. Those goddesses who seem cold and unapproachable to others show no aloofness at all around him, instead being full of flattery and extremely proactive.’

Jiang Yuan thought to himself, finding the stark contrast amusing.

”Hm? Aren’t you working?”

Jiang Yuan saw Gu Xinyu sitting submissively across from him without making any other moves, and he couldn’t help but ask, feeling slightly confused.

”Mr. Jiang, my job is to follow your instructions at all times, on standby twenty-four hours a day.”

Gu Xinyu explained with a smile, her tone conveying the professionalism of being constantly on call.

This was her first time meeting a major client of this caliber. Previously, she had only been responsible for receiving relatively smaller clients, which didn’t require such constant proximity.

But once she took on a top-tier client of this private bank, she no longer needed to personally manage her other smaller clients. Her sole task every day was to wholeheartedly serve Jiang Yuan alone.

”I see. That works out perfectly.”

Hearing this, Jiang Yuan’s eyes lit up slightly, and he immediately said, ”I’m having dinner with a friend tonight. Let’s go together.”

Gu Xinyu was momentarily stunned, then quickly waved her hand: ”This... wouldn’t it be inappropriate for me to join you and your friend for dinner? Wouldn’t I be disturbing you?”

”It’s fine. That friend is someone I just met—a climbing companion I ran into last night while climbing Mount Tai. She said she wanted to treat me to dinner tonight, and since I wasn’t leaving today, I accepted.”

Jiang Yuan said indifferently, his tone relaxed and casual, as if discussing the most ordinary trivial matter.

Then he remembered something and instructed Gu Xinyu.

”Oh right, we still have time. Why don’t you come with me to the mall later to buy a couple of outfits? I came too quickly and didn’t bring any change of clothes.”

”Understood, Mr. Jiang.”

Gu Xinyu calmly agreed without any hesitation.

”Just call me Jiang Yuan. There’s no need to keep saying ’Mr. Jiang,’ it’s too formal.”

Jiang Yuan felt awkward being called ”Mr. Jiang” constantly, so he proactively suggested it.

”Then I’ll call you Brother Jiang.”

Gu Xinyu hesitated for a moment, ultimately choosing a title that was both intimate and respectful, even though she was a few years older than Jiang Yuan.

”That works too. Though I guess that means I’m taking advantage of you, haha.”

Jiang Yuan laughed, his tone carrying a hint of teasing.

Gu Xinyu simply smiled without responding aloud. However, the look in her eyes toward Jiang Yuan underwent subtle changes during this small interaction.

She secretly hoped that Jiang Yuan would take advantage of her, and becoming his girlfriend would naturally be even better.

But she was self-aware. For these top-tier billionaires, beautiful women were like clothes—not rare at all, easily obtained.

Even though she considered her looks outstanding and her appearance highly attractive, she didn’t believe she could completely capture Jiang Yuan’s heart, or rather, make him treat her with genuine affection.

She took a few deep breaths, trying hard to suppress the fleeting thoughts in her heart.

At this moment, Jiang Yuan had finished his cigarette and stood up.

”Let’s go. Wanda Plaza is right next door, so we don’t need to drive. We can just walk there.”

”Okay, Brother Jiang.”

Gu Xinyu responded and then followed closely behind Jiang Yuan, like a well-trained personal aide.
