Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 229: Chapter 229: Serve Woman Too

Silas moved quickly, stepping aside. The woman fell flat on the ground, her eyes widening in disbelief.

He looked down at her coldly. ”I am not interested in anyone. I already have a wife.”

The woman blinked, then suddenly laughed, her voice sharp. ”So what if you have a wife? You can still take me as a concubine!”

Felix, who was leaving from Moonjewel Base, paused.

He had been here to meet someone who claimed to have a clue about his sister.

But now, seeing this scene, he couldn’t help but whistle under his breath. ”The world has really gone wild,” he muttered under his breath.

He folded his arms and looked at the woman throwing herself at the blond-haired man.

’If any girl ever dared to throw herself at me like that, I’d kick her away. No hesitation.’

As he was thinking this, his eyes suddenly caught sight of the girl beside the blond-haired man. A girl with soft pink hair. Ivy.

Felix’s heart skipped a beat.

’She’s... beautiful. Too beautiful. Why does she feel so familiar? Where have I seen her before?’

He couldn’t pinpoint it, but for some unknown reason, he felt a strange kind of familiarity with the pink-haired woman.

His gaze lingered, searching his memory. But nothing came.

Just then, the woman on the ground shouted again, her finger stabbing the air toward Ivy.

”Is it because of her? Is it because of this pink-haired woman that you won’t accept me?”

Felix’s face darkened at once. ’So she dares to insult that girl? What a shameless whore.’

Anger bubbled in his chest at the thought that someone was insulting the pink-haired woman, even though he didn’t know. It was strange.

As if... as if she was someone... he knew or was connected to.

At the same time, his gossipy mind commented.

’If my sister is with someone like this blond-haired guy, and some woman dared to throw herself at him, I would never forgive it. I would tell her to leave that man immediately. Because in this apocalypse, who can be trusted? Men swear loyalty one day and cheat the next.’

He had seen with his own eyes how many men swore to heaven that they would never cheat. The vows and man remained the same... only the women changed every time.

Felix’s eyes grew sharp as he turned his gaze on Silas, expecting to see how he would handle it.

The temperature around Silas dropped. His voice carried no hesitation. ”I don’t want a concubine. My wife is enough.”

The woman on the ground froze, her face twisting with disbelief.

But before she could speak again, Silas pushed her away and calmly took out a handkerchief.

He wiped his hands, as though he had touched something dirty. Then he looked down at her with eyes colder than ice.

”And I hate it when someone points a finger at my wife or questions her.”

Felix raised his eyebrows, then glanced back at the pink-haired girl.

A theory appeared in his mind.

’Wait... My sister also had pink hair, according to the clue I had received. What if... what if this girl is her? What if she is my long-lost sister?’

His heart started hammering in his chest, and he wished to conduct a DNA test right on the spot.

With measured, careful steps, he started to move toward Silas and Ivy’s direction, as the wheel of destiny was pulling him to do so.

’I should ask her. I should ask if she is an orphan or perhaps was looking for her real family.’

But before he could reach them, Silas suddenly pulled Ivy close, his arm wrapping tightly around her waist.

Glaring at the woman on ground, he announced in a thunderous voice,

”My wife’s family is powerful and rich. If you dare to seduce me, you should be ready for their retaliation.”

The entire place fell silent. The crowd stiffened, eyes darting between Ivy and Silas.

In this apocalypse, a strong family meant only two things: either endless food stores or a group of terrifyingly strong superhumans. Either way, it was nothing ordinary people dared to offend.

Everyone’s gaze shifted to the woman on the ground. Their eyes carried pity now. She had picked the wrong target.

Her body trembled, her lips pale.

She thought Silas had been the one with all the resources, but now she realized it was Ivy’s family.

She had just dug her grave.

But instead of giving up, the woman suddenly rushed at Ivy, grabbing her hand with desperate eyes. ”I... I can serve a woman too!”

The crowd exploded into shocked murmurs.

Ivy: ( ˶°ㅁ°) !!

Silas: (·•᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ )

Silas’s face turned dark. Without hesitation, he shoved the woman back again.

This time, his voice was filled with malice. ”If you dare think about my wife again, I will make sure you see hell on earth.”

The woman’s face twisted in anger. She pointed at him and screamed.

”You’re too possessive! You shouldn’t act like this! Everyone else keeps concubines. Why not her?”

The crowd went dead silent.

’Wow... can someone argue like this too?’ They thought in their mind.

Some men and women looked away in discomfort. A few even looked tempted by her words. But none dared to say it out loud.

Felix’s steps slowed. His eyes narrowed.

’So she already has a family. And not just a family, but a strong one. If that’s the case... there’s no point in me asking. If she were really my sister, she would either have been an orphan or at least would be looking for her real family.’

He let out a soft sigh, his eyes lingering on Ivy one last time.

’If you were my sister, I would have pampered you. I would have given you everything I could. But now... You aren’t.’

With that heavy thought, Felix turned and left.

Meanwhile, Ivy, still standing close to Silas, felt a sudden tug at her heart.

She turned her head slightly, her pink hair brushing against her cheek.

’Why do I feel like someone is watching me? That gaze... it felt powerful. Was it real, or just my imagination?’

Her eyes swept through the crowd, as if she had done it unintentionally, but the sharpness hidden in them took in everything.
