Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 203: Chapter 203: Silas’s Other Side

”What news?” Ivy’s heart pounded.

Were her parents found? Or was their location known? Either way... the anticipation creeping in her heart rose every second.

”They are currently in Alva state. The general location was near a base named Twilight. I had asked my connection to contact the base leader of Twilight and received the response stating that the Nightbane family had left long ago.” Silas’s hand twirled the soft pink strand of hair, looking lost in his thought.

”And how old is this news?” Panic and tension washed over Ivy.

Was the Nightbane family weak? No. On the contrary, due to their unity, it was hard for them to be harmed.

However, in her last life, she never even knew what their body condition was like.

Were all the body parts intact? Did they have any hidden injuries?

Various possibilities churned in Ivy’s mind.

”Almost 5 days. Even if they have super speed, they will require 20 days to leave the state.” The gentleness in the young man’s voice soothed the rising panic in Ivy’s heart.

”Then we should leave for Alva state.” Ivy’s cold hand grasped Silas’s hot hand. Worry about her real family clouded her mind.

”Sure. However, it’s better to make some preparation before we leave.” Silas lifted his t-shirt and brought Ivy’s cold hand to his abs; his sole focus and concern remained on how cold she was.

Ivy was taken aback. The soft yet firm feel of the abs made her recall the steamy night, heat rushing to her cheeks.

”You... what are you doing?” Shyness dripped from her melodious voice, lifting Silas’s mood.

As petty as he was, he felt sour at the fact that Ivy was so concerned about an unrelated family.

Compete against them? Or question Ivy: who was important to them or him?

However, his principles never dared to let him ask that question. Did he fear the answer or the hesitation that might creep up in Ivy’s eyes? Both, in fact.

Anyways, he has a place in her heart and slowly can make his way to the top. She and he had a lifetime.

His heart softened at that thought, and the tenderness seeping from his eyes almost became immeasurable.

”Hm? Aren’t you cold? Your hubby is worried.”

The word ’hubby’ was emphasized. Ivy felt her heart thumping loudly, while her joy was difficult to describe in words.

”By the way, how is your... friend’s base going?” Silas’s tone held a hint of amusement, while his naughty hands slid across her waist, caressing it softly.

The gentle strokes ignited the fire in Ivy’s heart; her body was way too sensitive when it came to Silas’s touches.

Though Silas tried to hide the domineeringness in his touches and tried to mask it with gentleness... it wasn’t difficult for her to look way past the fake mask.

”Good.” Ivy tried to keep her voice neutral, yet the heat pooling in her lower body almost made her close her eyes in defeat. ”That... she... She wanted help with her base name. Do you have a name in your mind?”

The bright light of the room mirrored the hidden hope in Ivy’s eyes.

Her moist, watery gaze, coupled with unique pink eyes, melted Silas’s heart into a puddle.

”I do have a few names, but they all involve our names. Your friend might not agree.” Silas pretended to be hesitant, his eyes darting as if he was genuinely struggling.

”Tell me. Maybe she will approve.” The curiosity burning in her heart almost made her want to jump in Silas’s mind and look for the name.

”Oh... then how about Silvy?”

Silvy... what a beautiful name.

Yet Ivy suddenly thought of teasing Silas.

”Eh? Why, Silvy? Why is your name first, followed by mine?”

There was no panic in Silas’s eyes, only gentleness and deep love.

”Whatever danger appears in the future, they will first have to go through me before it reaches you. I will always be your shield, Ivy.”

Shield? Indeed... Silas shielded her most of the time. He even sacrificed his own life to protect her.

As long as he was alive in her previous life, he never hesitated to help her whenever he saw her in danger, even if it meant fighting against the entire world.

Feeling her vision blurring and a pinch in her heart, Ivy lowered her head; her voice carried a forced cheerfulness.

”Oh? Then it’s excellent. Otherwise, I would have punished you.”

”Look up Ivy.” The gentleness in Silas’s voice was replaced by a deep concern.

Blinking back the tears, Ivy lifted her head, a sweet smile playing at her lips.

Silas pursed his lips before leaning toward her.

The kiss that ensued was not merely tender or cautious; it brimmed with fervent intensity and undeniable passion. It was a longing embrace, akin to a weary traveler discovering a long-sought oasis after a relentless journey.

When they parted, Silas touched Ivy’s forehead with his own; their breathing was rapid, while his hand supported the back of her head.

”Next time... don’t look away. If you are sad or feel like crying, just hug me. I am your husband, Ivy. I own every inch of your soul and body, just as you own mine. So now... your sadness isn’t only yours anymore. These precious tears... they aren’t yours.”

The sourness in Ivy’s heart faded, yet the bitterness lingered.

Seeing this, Silas had a wicked idea. He took control of Ivy’s hand and led it toward his cock.

Ivy’s face instantly flushed up, and she tried to pull away, only for Silas’s other hand to pull her closer by her waist.

”Even this is yours. Feel it. Are you thrilled?”
