Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Criteria

The third time, there was no increase in the multiplication of the items, but there was a modification to the one-bedroom apartment.

So maybe on the fourth upgrade, she would be able to increase the number of times she can multiply the items, and she could build a one-bedroom apartment.

Taking a deep breath, Ivy suppressed the dissatisfaction in her heart and checked the condition for the next upgrade. It would have been better if Ivy hadn’t seen the conditions because once she did, she almost wanted to explode.

This was bullying! Outright bullying! She would need to pay 100,000 KB, 10,000 psychic crystals, 10,000 space crystals, and even 1000 water crystals!

Was the Temporal Storage planning to add different crystals with each upgrade? The mere thought was enough to give Ivy a headache. She truly thought things too naively...

To avoid ruining her mood further, she turned her attention to her account balance: 2 million KB. And the number was increasing with each second. It was all thanks to the medicine she had given to Silas. He had handed over the medicine to Talia who provided it to her connection.

Silas had deliberately asked Talia to let her connection know that Ivy was giving them the medicine at a lower market price, so she deserves credit.

When the connection realized Silas’s intentions, he thought that Ivy was planning to enter politics, hence he spread Ivy’s name.

At the same time, some of the bad seeds were attracted and wanted to harm Ivy, but to their dismay, they soon heard that it was the last batch of medicines. Many of them let Ivy be, while others who still had bad intentions were dealt with by the Blackthorn family siblings.

Anyhow, when the people knew that it was the last batch in Ivy’s hand and she still sold it at a lower price, they were filled with gratitude, and soon Ivy’s KB balance soared, causing Ivy to feel like an upstart wealthy family.

With such a huge balance, Ivy multiplied the food on a regular basis. Not to mention, with each day, her inventory was slowly filling up. In the blink of an eye, another week passed. Ivy focused on her base and cultivation.

On the first day of the new month, Ivy felt the energy coursing in her veins rise before a burst of coolness spread in her entire body, making her sigh in delight. She had reached level 2.

Now she can protect her presence from the nearby zombies as well as protect a 1000 square meter area around her.

On her next upgrade, she can protect 10,000 square meters, and at level 4, she can protect 100,000 square meters. By level 5, she can protect 10 square kilometers.

That was the extent of her superpower. At least that was what Ivy had believed so. In her past life, even after cultivating for a long while after level 5, there was no progress.

Later, she stopped cultivating and spent her blissful days with her family. Thinking about her family, Ivy’s heart skipped a beat, and she started to wonder how they were doing. Were they suffering? Did they have enough to eat?

It would be best if they were living a good life. She had urged Silas multiple times and asked him to speed up on the information about her parents and Damien.

Though there was no news about her parents, Silas indeed found some about Damien.

Damien was spotted by their connection many times. One time when he looked sane like a human, however, he kept on muttering while looking in the area, and when Silas’s team almost caught him, he teleported far away.

The other time when he was spotted, his entire skin was like that of a dark monster, and Silas’s connection almost thought he was a new type of zombie that had emerged. They almost ended his life then, but just like a slippery eel, he escaped again.

Even Silas and Ivy were frustrated. Damien seemed to have transformed into a nine-tailed fox with nine lives at his disposal.

Ivy was frustrated; she never thought Damien’s ring had such features, too, but for some reason, she was glad that she didn’t contract that ring... it sort of looked evil to her.

How can Damien, who was a human before, suddenly have charred black skin one moment, and act like a human the next?

Another noteworthy news that caught Ivy’s attention was the fact that Black Vulture had started to make a move.

Since a chance was given, Ivy wanted to save as many lives as she could, and hence she had told Silas about Black Vultures and their future plan.

Black Vulture will loot the innocent people living in their residence, which is still intact even after the zombie attack, and use that capital to build a base of their own.

They will do a sh*tty job at first. But due to the existence of many fighters in Black Vulture, it will become one of the most secure bases.

Many of the refugees will enter Black Vulture, and with their food and other belongings like crystals, gold, etc, the Black Vultures secured a few deals and eventually improved the base’s condition.

Yet in secret, they carried out a racket of human trafficking of young girls and young men and even used many of their own citizens as test subjects.

Such a type of base would be better destroyed from the root. Who would have thought that someone from the base was supporting the Black Vultures? When Ivy got the news, she was stunned and even wondered if she was hearing things correctly.

In her previous life, the military base and Black Vulture’s base were on completely different sides and fought many times. Each time, many of the citizens would have to contribute 1000 crystals as a payment for protection during war.

Now, after having the insider’s news, Ivy realized how flawed her memory was...

If what she was thinking was true, then...
