Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Annie Bell

The woman suddenly lifted her hand and just when some of the young men were about to stop the woman from her future ’violence’, they watched in awe as she lightly placed on Ivy’s shoulder and said in her deep voice,

”Thank you. If it weren’t for you, my brother would have... anyway. As a thanks, I promise to repay your favor. In the future, if you encounter a problem, you can find me. My name is Annie Bell.”

With that said, she retracted her hand, nodded at confused Ivy, before turning and leaving. As others watched her leave, complex emotions appeared in their eyes.

Others: ”...” What? Just like that?

Ivy: ”...” So you just wanted to offer thanks... so why did you even make it seem as if you were going to seek trouble?

”Um... is it just me or does her name sound like Annabella?” One of the confused people asked, and all he received was glares, making him so scared that he pretended he hadn’t spoken a single thing.

Ivy took a deep breath and decided not to dwell on the strange interaction. With that, she soon reached the apartment. Once there, she unconsciously muttered the name in a low voice,

”Annie Bell... Hm... I seemed to have heard it somewhere... where, though?”

As she took a bath in her space and her body relaxed, she froze. Sh*t! She remembered who Annie Bell was!

In her previous life, she had met many powerful figures, and if Ivy could say that she can remember everyone... it would be a lie. Her traumas and bad living conditions forced her to completely shut herself off from those people... still, she occasionally heard about some known figures, and one of them was... Annie Bell! No... to be precise, she was called Annabell!

Annie was the captain of the most powerful team in Talon Base. A base Ivy hated with all her might because it was the base where most of her misery had begun.

Though Annie led a relatively powerful team, for some reason, she was always suppressed in the Talon Base. Word has it that Annie had offended the Talon Base’s higher-ups.

Yet she thrived because of her reputation of being the Annabella of the apocalypse. She was powerful... If ranking were to be given, she could rank in the top 10 most powerful individuals in the entire Talon base.

She had single-handedly protected the entire Talon Base once. And her super strength, as well as Super speed, was just at level 7.

It was said that, other than the Talon Base leader and a few of the talents hired by the Talon Base leader from foreign countries, almost no one else could win against Annie.

She was an unkillable cockroach to many, but eventually, she was killed by her own loved ones. To be precise, it was her own mother who had once drugged Annie before a zombie horde attack.

Even though Annie did 70% of the killing, midway she lost consciousness, and when she woke up again, the Talon base leader heavily fined her and even demoted her.

Worse yet, during the time she was unconscious, her own mother took some of her compromising photos and blackmailed her into handing over her salary.

Annie still fought back, but eventually she realized that her brother was missing and her mother was the one who had kidnapped her brother. That was the secondary measure Annie’s mother had taken against Annie.

For a year or so, Annie struggled, and eventually, during one of her fights with her mother, Annie’s brother died, causing Annie to become depressed, and she eventually committed suicide.

After Annie’s death, the Talon Base was in huge trouble. It was only after her departure did the Talon Base recognized her power and talent, but soon, some other talent took Annie’s place.

2 months later, Annie’s mother, who was getting targeted by Annie’s enemy, became crazed and told other much she regretted scheming against her own daughter under Talon Base’s base leader!

Ivy’s eyes turned gloomy, but thinking back to Annie’s words, her eyes brightened again. In this life, since they have come across each other, she will recruit Annie to her base.

In a good mood, she left the space and started to use KB points to multiply the rice and salt. The process wasn’t tedious at all, and all Ivy needed was order.

”Multiply all the rice packets.”

[Multiplying all the rice packets would require 10,000 KB points. Would you like to multiply? Current balance: 809,740 KB]

”Yes,” Ivy stated, her eyes brimming with anticipation. And soon she heard the familiar ’ding’

[Multiplication completed. Current balance 799,740 KB.]

”I would again like to multiply,” Ivy ordered. She never had enough KB to ever completely multiply a single item, so she never knew what happened after the first time multiplication was done.

[Processing... Error! Second time multiplication is not possible! Exception: Second time multiplication is possible if the owner does another kind of deed worth 5000KB.]

Ivy raised an eyebrow. Kind deed worth 5000KB? Does she need to go out and donate more medicine?

Just as she was wondering, so she heard another familiar ’ding’

[Ding! Kind deeds detected... earned 400KB. Please do a kind deed worth 4600KB!]

[Ding! Kind deeds detected... earned 100KB. Please do a kind deed worth 4500KB!]

[Ding! Kind deeds detected... earned 200KB. Please do a kind deed worth 4300KB!]

...

Ivy’s eyes brightened. Looks like she doesn’t need to do any kind of deed at all! Her previous kind deeds can still be counted.

Another thing that Ivy understood was... she doesn’t necessarily need to use up 5000KB to trigger a second-time multiplication.

Anyway, she doesn’t have to wait long. Soon, the criteria set by the Temporal Storage were met.

[Ding! Criteria have been met! Would you multiply for the second time?]

”Yes!” Ivy’s heart pounded. She wondered what kind of surprise she would get this time.

She doesn’t have to wait for a long time before she received a notification.
