Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Shocking Discovery

Ivy returned to the Ravencroft family.

The building was eerily calm, and no zombies could be seen. Ivy’s senses had been enhanced, and she knew that the calm was temporary; the storm would soon arrive.

With a lazy expression, she pressed the doorbell.

”Who is there?” Seraphina’s voice sounded a bit distant. Ivy continued to press the bell.

Irritated by the constant ringing, Seraphina opened the door and froze. Ivy gave her a lazy smirk and, without hesitation, slapped her.

”Ahhh!” Seraphina never expected Ivy to be so bold. Due to the unexpected pain, she fell on the floor. By the time she processed her emotions, Ivy had walked inside. Seraphina’s eyes widened in fury, and she stood up,

”You b*tch! Stop right there! Who gave you the right to walk inside? Dis I give you the permission?”

She couldn’t believe Ivy’s audacity. This b*tch was picked up by her. If it wasn’t for Seraphina, Ivy would have died from the cold.

She took the girl into her home, purely because the celestial master she had consulted said that Ivy could bring luck into her house.

Feeding an extra mouth was difficult for the Ravencroft family, yet Seraphina adopted her. So what if she beat Ivy? Can’t she vent a little bit of her anger on Ivy?

And Isla loved Silas, so Ivy, like a good dog, should have made the way. But this b*tch dared to go against her, whipped them, and even slept in Silas’s living room.

Seraphina completely forgot how Ivy had won multiple scholarships and competitions to not only support herself but also her siblings.

Till middle school, Ivy had indeed used the Ravencroft family’s money; however, she tried to repay it by doing part-time jobs, house chores, as well as participating in various competitions.

If totaled, Ivy had earned $194,720 during her schooling years and only took $4000 for her lunch money, which the Ravencroft Family stopped giving her from high school.

$190,000 was gobbled up by the Ravencrofts shamelessly, and yet they claimed that Ivy owed them.

’I should beat her properly! Let’s see if she can remain so indifferent after getting beaten! How dare she slap me! Though I am not her biological mother, I raised her! This is what she owes me!’

With that thought, she lunged at Ivy with raw intensity. Ivy, as if having eyes on her back, sidestepped, and Seraphina fell on her face, causing her to scream in agony,

”Ahhh!”

Her repeated scream finally attracted the attention of the siblings lying on the sofa like couch potatoes.

Damian and Isla hurriedly arrived in the hallway and almost crashed into Ivy.

Ivy, does not want to be touched by these pair of hypocrite siblings, stepped back, which Isla mistakenly took as a sign of guilt and fear.

She rushed past Ivy and showed a concerned expression as she straddled her mother in her arms,

”Mom? What happened? Did Ivy attack you?”

Big fat tears rolled down Seraphina’s face as she hugged Isla, her hands trembling with rage as she pointed at Ivy,

”This bi... This girl slapped me and even pushed me! She was about to attack me again, but you both arrived on time! Damian, you have to do justice for me!”

Damian coldly glared at Ivy, while Ivy’s attention was on the ring Damian was wearing.

’Why? No... how does he still have the ring? In my past life, he had snatched it away from me... but in this life, I never found it... so how did the ring still end up with him? Is god hinting to me that something can’t be changed?’

Her questions made her heart sink. However, her mind processed the situation faster,

’No... there is no such unchanged. Even a small action changed in the past can create a butterfly effect and may lead to a time paradox. Maybe there is something that I’m missing.’

Her eyes met with Damian, who was looking at her sharply, and she asked,

”From where did you get this ring?”

A look of confusion flashed in Damian’s eyes, while Isla scoffed,

”What? You like it? Don’t even think about it! It was gifted to the brother from his girlfriend.”

Angelina?

Ivy’s eyes blazed with fury; however, her rational mind repressed the surging memories, and confusion overtook her.

Wasn’t Angelina supposed to go on a shopping spree the day Ivy entered Brimstone Mountain?

Why the sudden change of plan? Wait...Is Angelina reborn, too?

Ivy was taken aback, and she decided to get more information to confirm her guess.

”Oh? Did she buy it from the mall? Which mall was it?”

From Isla’s perspective, Ivy was scared, and hence she was changing the subject.

”Stupid b*tch, such things are not found in mall! She found it on the mountain. And don’t you dare change the subject.”

Ivy was 70% confirmed that Angelina was reborn; however, to confirm it further, she asked,

”As far as I know, Angelina was having a fight with Damian. Why did she gift him the ring?”

Isla snickered,

”You are out, so you didn’t know. Angelina is now practically begging to be with my brother! She is even ready to be a mistress as long as my brother agrees.”

Ivy raised an eyebrow in surprise.

After all, in her past life, Angelina had broken up with Damian after 2 years of apocalypse and found another man.

She didn’t know what had happened to Angelina later, but Damian had gone from a level 1 superhuman to a level 7 superhuman. His awakened ability was psychic.

With his talent, Damian climbed up the social ladder and ended up becoming the right-hand man of the evil base leader.

Many girls wanted to be with Damian, and yet he ignored everyone.

If Angelina has been reborn, surely she will try her best to be with Damian.

Everything made sense.

Ah... looks like she will have fun killing all those people now.

Ivy never thought that she wasn’t the only one who would get another chance to change things.
