The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2667: Cain vs the Demon King (II)

Just as the True Depravitas began to wonder what they should do, booming laughter echoed across the sky.

The sound carried through the Ninth Realm, cutting through the thunderous shockwaves created by the clash between Cain and the Demon King. It was not the laughter of enemies mocking one another before a killing blow. It was the laughter of warriors who had found someone capable of pushing them beyond their limits.

The Demon King and the Scarlet King were laughing.

Although they had unleashed tremendous power, the True Depravitas soon noticed something that caused their fear to fade. Neither Cain nor the Demon King possessed even the slightest hint of killing intent.

Their eyes were sharp, their auras were violent, and their attacks were powerful enough to shake the Ninth Realm. Yet beneath all that pressure, there was no hatred between them.

This was not a battle to the death.

It was a sparring match between friends.

The True Depravitas finally relaxed.

Some still watched with awe, while others could not help but smile at the sight. It was rare for them to see the Demon King fighting with such open excitement. Their ruler was usually calm, dignified, and distant, carrying the burden of the Crimson World on his shoulders.

Yet now, he looked like a warrior once more.

Cain and the Demon King were so immersed in their clash that they did not notice the worried glances directed toward them. At that moment, nothing else existed in their minds except the opponent before them and the enlightenment coursing through their souls.

Their battle had begun during the journey toward the Ninth Realm.

Cain and the Demon King had mobilized the fused Divine Kingdoms through the dimensions of the Crimson World. The journey was slow , but it was not complicated for beings of their level.

Since neither Cain nor the Demon King liked wasting time, they used the journey to train.

Cain focused on understanding the Golden Current. At the same time, he began teaching the Demon King about the Flow.

The full inheritance of the Red King remained inside Cain’s mind. Although some of its deepest secrets could only be understood through personal experience, there was nothing stopping Cain from sharing the principles and rules of the Flow with someone he trusted.

He taught the Demon King how the Flow could be used to sense the intentions of an opponent before their body moved. He showed him how to divert attacks without meeting them head-on and how to absorb the force of an enemy’s strike before returning it with even greater power.

The Demon King listened carefully.

He was already an incredibly powerful existence, with billions of years of combat experience and mastery over countless laws. However, there was no chance he would refuse the opportunity to learn the Flow.

The Flow was one of the reasons Cain had defeated the Ancient One.

It was a power that even Fourth Realm masters would covet.

During their training, the two warriors discovered something unexpected.

Every time the Divine Kingdoms passed from one realm to another, the dimensional barrier created a unique disturbance in the Flow. The transition between realms revealed countless hidden connections.

For a brief moment, the Flow became clearer.

It was as though the universe itself opened a small window, allowing them to glimpse the deeper principles hidden behind reality.

The discovery thrilled both Cain and the Demon King.

Whenever they approached another dimensional barrier, they pushed their perception to the absolute limit. Their souls expanded, their consciousness merged with the Divine Kingdoms, and their understanding of the Flow continued to deepen.

Then, when they reached the Ninth Realm, everything changed.

The moment the Divine Kingdoms crossed the final barrier, the principles of the Flow became so clear that both Cain and the Demon King entered a state of profound enlightenment.

Their souls trembled.

Their minds became filled with countless insights.

The laws of the Flow unfolded before them, revealing connections they had never noticed before.

The enlightenment was so pure and intense that neither of them could endure it passively.

They needed to move.

They needed to fight.

The Demon King waved his hand forward.

A series of massive golden palms appeared in the sky, each one carrying enough force to crush a mountain range. Behind them, an ocean of golden light surged forward, flooding the void with the power of the Flow.

Cain’s eyes flashed.

He raised his dark blade and swung it downward.

A brilliant arc of golden light erupted from the weapon. The strike carried the principle of Divergence, causing the laws of space around it to twist and separate. Reality itself seemed to split apart as the attack rushed toward the Demon King’s golden palms.

The two forces collided.

A terrifying explosion erupted across the Ninth Realm.

Cain and the Demon King were thrown backward, blood leaking from the corners of their mouths. Yet instead of showing pain or hesitation, both of them smiled.

Their battle spirit only grew stronger.

They flashed forward once more.

---

Cain was advancing at a shocking speed.

The power of his Apex Hybrid Body continued to rise, while his control over the Flow reached levels he could not have imagined before entering the Sacred Dimension.

However, Cain was not the only one growing stronger.

Far away, inside the Fallen Empyrean World, a strange and terrifying aura was being unleashed.

Deep within the stronghold of the Curse Eaters, the air had become heavy and suffocating. The laws of the world trembled, while dark red energy seeped through the walls like blood flowing from an unseen wound.

The Curse Eaters stood outside the deepest chamber of the stronghold.

Their expressions were grim.

Although the walls of the chamber were forged from powerful materials, their eyes could pierce through them. What they saw inside made even these monstrous beings feel uneasy.

At the center of the chamber was a massive sphere of bloody flesh.

It resembled a giant heart.

Every beat sent ripples of energy through the room, causing strange forces to circle around it. Those forces were so profound that the Curse Eaters could not understand them.

They carried traces of life, death, reincarnation, destruction, and something even more ancient.

Inside the sphere was Nito.

His body was undergoing a transformation.

Blood vessels covered his skin, while strange runes appeared and disappeared across his flesh. His aura rose and fell with every beat of the giant heart, sometimes becoming so powerful that the Curse Eaters had to take several steps back.

The Curse Eaters exchanged complicated looks.

The rising power of their leader was good news. They needed Nito to become stronger if they hoped to survive the coming war.

However, they also understood the danger of the Samsara Eye.

The King of the Tenth Empyrean World had spent an immense amount of effort implanting the Samsara Eye into Nito. Even then, he had warned everyone about its terrifying power.

The Samsara Eye belonged to an existence so powerful that even the King of the Tenth Empyrean World could only bow in reverence.

Using such power recklessly could destroy a person’s mind, soul, and identity.

Nito had originally been meant to use the Samsara Eye only in emergencies.

Yet after facing Cain, he had begun relying on it more and more.

The Curse Eaters knew that something was changing inside him.

The Samsara Eye was no longer simply a weapon.

It was becoming part of Nito.

The possibility of failure was terrifying. If Nito lost control, the power inside the chamber could consume the entire stronghold.

Still, none of the Curse Eaters dared to interfere.

They understood one simple truth.

If Nito did not become stronger, the Scarlet King would eventually kill them all.
