The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1995: The moment of reckoning is getting closer

Azazel’s perception burst outward like a flood of clarity, stripping the sky of illusion and showing him the truth of what descended.

He saw a barrage of gravitic spears—black shafts wrapped in white flames, each one humming with the weight of collapsed stars and entropy. Beside them surged an ocean of flaming darkness, vast enough to drown a continent, boiling with death as if it wished to smother creation itself. A heartbeat later came a massive arc of white kinetic force, sharp and merciless, its sheer momentum sufficient to sunder the firmament. And beneath it all roared a torrent of eternal fire, flames that seemed older than time, each clash feeding the next, rising stronger and stronger with no end.

Dionisio felt the intrusion moments later, but by then it was already too late. The combined assault had converged into a cataclysmic front, a storm of divine annihilation falling directly upon RainbowSky Heaven.

Instantly, the island reacted. From the seven colossal monoliths that formed the sect’s foundation, beams of energy erupted skyward, merging into a dome of crystalline light that spread across the entire island. A force field of legendary strength locked into place a heartbeat before the barrage fell.

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM”

The world split open.

The sky shattered like glass, fragments of fractured space cascading in all directions. The ground convulsed. Seas far beyond the horizon rose in violent waves. The blast rolled across the continent, rattling mountains, silencing beasts, and searing the firmament with a corona of blinding plasma.

Cultivators across RainbowSky Heaven staggered as the sky became a storm of incandescent death. They looked upward with dread, their eyes wide as the layers of burning plasma pressed against the force field above, clawing at the dome, writhing and festering for a way in. Everyone knew—if even a fraction of that destructive energy breached the shield, no one below the Third Realm would survive.

Dionisio sat frozen in disbelief. Never, in all his reign, had anyone dared to attack RainbowSky Heaven so directly. His island fortress had been unchallenged for eras. Yet here, without warning, came a barrage powerful enough to sink the entire landmass into the sea.

Before he could even process the enormity of it, another barrage fell. The ground quaked again as the shield buckled under the assault.

At last, Dionisio tore himself free of shock. His crimson eyes sharpened as he extended his senses, feeling the cracks spiderwebbing across the barrier. Beyond them, he discerned four auras—each vast, each burning like its own sun. He recognized them instantly.

The Scarlet King and his allies.

Rage flared hot in Dionisio’s chest, and his glare snapped toward Azazel, brimming with fury and accusation.

”You brought them here!” he roared.

It was exactly what one would expect from Dionisio—a man too arrogant to acknowledge cause and consequence, too depraved to recognize that the Scarlet Path hunted the wicked by design. Easier to blame Azazel than admit that his own sins had finally drawn retribution.

Azazel’s face remained calm, but inside, disgust twisted through him. Even if he wanted to, he could not have conjured more disdain for Dionisio. The RainbowSky master was a coward at his core, greedy for pleasure and power but unwilling to shoulder consequence. Yet now was not the time for recriminations.

He turned his focus to the barrier. Through his perception, he saw the relentless storm forging deeper cracks into the dome. At this rate, the shield would collapse within five minutes. And once it fell, the four Archdeities would descend in full.

A cold light sharpened Azazel’s crimson eyes. His voice, when he spoke, carried absolute command—impossible to defy.

”I have already summoned our allies. They will arrive shortly. Do everything in your power to maintain the shield. If it collapses and all four strike together, I will have no choice but to leave this place.”

The words were not empty. Azazel possessed power enough to hide from their senses and escape. However, if caught unprepared, even he could be dragged down.

Cain would not hesitate to burn his entire essence if there was even a chance of slaying the True Depravita. For that reason, Azazel would not risk entrapment. If Dionisio failed to follow orders, Azazel would simply abandon him. There were other allies to recruit; RainbowSky Heaven was not indispensable.

Dionisio’s teeth ground audibly. Rage boiled in him—not at the Scarlet King, but at the way Azazel dared to order him like a subordinate. He had intended to squeeze all he could from the True Depravita before committing to any alliance, and even then, only on his own terms. Yet now, under the shadow of annihilation, those ambitions crumbled. He could feel death’s scythe grazing his neck.

With a growl, he seized control of the barrier and compressed it, drawing its radius tighter and tighter until it no longer covered the entire island. Instead, it shrank to encompass only the central region—the seven monoliths, the gardens of inheritance, and the palace at their heart.

A wave of horror swept through RainbowSky Heaven. Cultivators stationed outside the core watched in disbelief as the shield abandoned them, leaving them naked beneath the storm.

Cain, Bael, Amon, and Leonidas saw the unprotected masses. Their eyes hardened, showing no hesitation and no mercy. Ordinarily, such beings would disdain sullying their hands with the weak. But here, the weak were not innocents—they were Divine Cultivators steeped in wickedness, men who had tortured, violated, and slaughtered countless victims. Every one of them was steeped in sins that had long since erased redemption.

Another barrage descended.

The shield endured—but those outside it did not. Their bodies vaporized in pillars of flame and gravitic collapse, their souls shredded by eternal fire and drowning darkness. Screams filled the air for a heartbeat, then vanished as though they had never existed.

The massacre brought no pause, no delay. The four Archdeities pressed harder, their combined assaults hammering the shrinking barrier again and again. Each strike was heavier than the last, as if they sought not merely to crack the shield but to drain the very essence of the monoliths sustaining it.

The storm continued.

The cracks deepened.

And with each heartbeat, the moment of reckoning drew closer.
