The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1991: Burning the underworld

The path ahead was clear: strike at Azazel and his forces.

Cain did not delude himself into thinking he could slay the True Depravita outright. That would be arrogance bordering on madness, as the survival skills of a True Depravita were truly monstrous. But the first strike would serve another purpose—showing the entire Empyrean World the might of the Scarlet Path. And if fate favored them, perhaps an Archdeity or two would fall in the chaos. Victory was not always measured in absolute conquest; sometimes it was measured in blood spilled and banners raised.

Yet before steel could clash, they had to prepare themselves properly.

Cain extended his hand, and in his palm rested a small, crimson seed that pulsed faintly with the rhythm of a heart. ”Fuse this into your Soul Dimension,” he instructed, his tone firm but patient. ”Nurture it, and it will give birth to your Scarlet Leviathan. When it evolves to the Third Realm, it will become a Scarlet Star. Through it, you will channel the power of the Scarlet Throne itself.”

A faint smile flickered across Cain’s lips as he added, ”It will also be the key to awakening your Resurrection.”

Leonidas’ expression broke into an unrestrained smile, fierce and grateful. The Scarlet King had already saved his mind from the creeping rot of the curse, restored his dignity, and given him back his identity. He had no right to ask for anything more. And yet here Cain was, handing him another miracle.

Without hesitation, the old Archdeity pressed the seed into his Soul Dimension. A storm of energy flared inside him as the Scarlet Leviathan was born, its colossal presence roaring like a newborn beast tasting freedom. The birth happened with remarkable speed, proof of Leonidas’ immense cultivation base.

Cain felt the creation ripple across the psychic currents and immediately spoke again. ”Now, send into the Leviathan the full breadth of your Dawn Breaker Path. Every concept, every insight, every fragment of your journey.”

Following the Scarlet King’s command, Leonidas poured his knowledge and experience into the Leviathan. The creature devoured it eagerly, like fire swallowing dry kindling. Cain, in turn, fed all of it into the [A.I. Chip Module], directing it to analyze the data and search for the conceptual key that would allow Leonidas’ Path to evolve and unlock its full potential.

Cain gave a small nod, satisfied. With that handled, he moved to the next task. ”How long will it take for your friend to arrive?”

Leonidas straightened. ”I can summon him whenever you desire, my King. He will need no more than a few weeks to reach us.” His voice carried no hesitation. Every word was steeped in confidence.

”Excellent,” Cain replied with a sharp nod. But he did not summon the ally just yet. There was other business to attend to first.

”Now,” Cain said, his voice colder, ”share with me all knowledge you have of the underworld—of the wicked and the corrupt within your domains. We need them alive. Their deaths would be wasteful. Alive, they will be far more useful.”

Leonidas’ molten eyes hardened. He was no saint; his path to power had been built on rivers of blood. But cruelty against the weak, the torment of innocents—that was a sin he despised. If Cain wished to purge such filth and bend their minds and souls to fuel his designs, Leonidas would gladly aid it.

Cain smiled faintly as the flood of information poured into his mind. He nodded once, decisive. ”We will handle the Prima Deities ourselves. Your forces will deal with the Divine Cultivators. Remember—keep them alive. I need their souls and minds intact.”

Leonidas inclined his head solemnly. He did not ask why. He already saw Cain for what he was: a man who always thought ten steps ahead, who analyzed every move like pieces on a grand board. The old lion had already entrusted him with his loyalty and faith.

Without further delay, the two rose from the floating island and ascended through the smoking volcano, breaking into the highest skies.

The sight that followed struck every member of Doomslayer Heaven with awe. Their leader had been absent for years, withdrawing from the world, barring any from approaching his residence. Yet less than a day after the Scarlet King arrived, Leonidas emerged, smiling, his aura resplendent, ascending beside Cain as if reborn.

The members of Doomslayer Heaven froze, their hearts hammering. Then Leonidas’ voice echoed in their souls, a command that brooked no disobedience.

”Hunt the wicked. Scorch the underworld. Bring them alive—all of them.”

The order sent ripples of shock through the ranks. Doomslayer Heaven had never concerned itself with such things. For centuries, they had tolerated the shadows festering in their domains. But it did not matter whether they understood or not. Their leader had spoken.

Their eyes hardened with resolve. In the next breath, their figures blurred as they abandoned cultivation chambers and outposts, surging forth from the volcanic stronghold in all directions.

They moved with terrifying speed and precision, striking without warning. Criminal sects, corrupt clans, and hidden cults were overwhelmed before they could react.

The wicked and their networks of bloodshed collapsed like brittle sandcastles.

By the time the underworld realized what was happening, it was already too late.

All four continents under Doomslayer Heaven’s dominion were sealed shut. Borders closed with unyielding force. Lord-Tier Organizations were ordered to halt all movement, preventing even a single soul from slipping through. Any who resisted, any who thought to play clever games, found their names added to the Scarlet King’s list of prey.

With Doomslayer Heaven’s might, and the cooperation of every subordinate faction, the purge became absolute. Within two months, not a single den of wickedness remained free. Every Divine Cultivator steeped in cruelty and corruption had been captured alive, bound, and prepared for whatever fate Cain had in store.

At the same time, Cain and Leonidas moved through the higher echelons, hunting down Prime Deities who had long cloaked themselves in shadows. Many tried to hide; some fought. None survived. One after another they fell, their bodies shackled, their souls and minds sealed tight.

When it was done, eleven Prima Deities of infamy knelt in chains, their futures carved away.
