Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 1001 - 1005: The Outcome

Yunyi finished speaking and walked towards the leaders: ”Leaders, I indeed kicked Commander Qiao’s wife, Luo Xiaofang, because her words were so vile and crossed my line. You know very well the situation with Huo Jingrui right now.

I’ve already been through a lot, even ignoring my own pregnancy to help the army save people, but as for Luo Xiaofang, what has she done as a military family member?

Why is she allowed to act recklessly in the family courtyard, never showing remorse? It’s because you have given her the confidence.

Even knowing her misconduct, you never ordered her husband to discipline her, which fostered her greed and shamelessness, leading to her tasteless and immoral nonsense today.

Since no one is stepping in, I can only handle it myself, so I will never apologize, and the army must give me an explanation. I’ve said all I have to say.”

Having said this, she lifted her foot, ready to leave the Qiao Family Courtyard.

She was truly angry; mocking her was one thing, but cursing Huo Jingrui was unforgivable.

Previously, she had been too gentle, which led them to misunderstand; it seems not confronting them was a mistake.

She knew she was venting her anger on the army leaders, but she felt they were not blameless.

As she reached the gate, she thought of something, turned around, and said towards the courtyard, ”I demand that someone take Luo Xiaofang for an injury examination right now; past this moment, I won’t acknowledge other injuries.”

Guan Yueyang didn’t expect Huo Jingrui’s little wife to be so astute: ”Don’t worry, I’ll ensure it.”

Commissar Hong left the parties involved and a few attending military family members while dispersing the other family members.

Commander Du said coldly, ”Comrade Chu’s words were not unreasonable, indeed it’s our lack of diligence that caused today’s incident. Thorough investigation.”

Having said that, he glanced at Commander Qiao: ”If you can’t even manage your own household, how can you handle broader responsibilities? Sort out your domestic affairs before going back to training.”

The army reacted swiftly, within a few hours, Luo Xiaofang was taken to the hospital for a check-up, aside from footprints on her clothes, not a single mark, not even a scratch, was found.

The doctor responsible for the check-up was baffled: ”This person is perfectly fine, what injuries are we supposed to find?”

The few family members accompanying as witnesses exchanged perplexed glances, all thinking: What’s going on here, it seems from now on, no one should mess with Deputy Regimental Commander Huo’s wife.

The various teams conducting the investigation in the family courtyard soon got to the bottom of things, and when Commander Du and Commissar Guan saw the investigation results, their expressions were quite displeased.

No wonder Huo Jingrui’s wife treated them with such defiance.

Quickly, the punishment results came out, Commander Qiao was implicated because of Luo Xiaofang and received a reprimand, required to write a 3000-word self-reflection for the records, while the Women’s Federation also ordered Luo Xiaofang to write a 3000-word self-reflection and read it publicly at the military family meeting two days later.

Additionally, she would be responsible for cleaning the First District of the family yard for a month, if any day falls short, the task extends by a week, until completion.

This punishment was truly meant to strike to the heart.

Moreover, it was discovered that Du Liang’s mother had deliberately spread rumors, although not required to write a self-reflection, she too was punished with cleaning the Second District of the family yard for a month, similarly extending by a week if not meeting standards.

If she attempts to act all senior and refuses the penalty, then she will be forcibly sent away from the family courtyard.

Du Liang wasn’t punished but received a verbal warning from the Regimental Commander.

This stirred up the family courtyard, most felt justice had been served.

Du Liang was relatively okay; at least his career path wouldn’t be greatly affected, and Mrs. Du, being his mother, no matter how upset, he could only persuade her with kind words, coercion, and tempting promises, encouraging her to abandon unrealistic thoughts to avoid further trouble.

But it’s different for Commander Qiao; his reprimand directly affected his promotion.

When Luo Xiaofang returned from the hospital, she unleashed fists and kicks at him, reducing Luo Xiaofang to helpless sobbing.

Does she regret it?

She definitely regrets it, her remorse runs deep, but her resentment towards Yunyi is strong, she believes Yunyi is to blame for everything, after all, she just slipped a few words, why must it lead to her ruination?
