Chapter 758: Adamʼs Fury

Inside the House of Cards, while the two Rank 3 undead orcs assaulted Adam—who, in fact, turned out to be an illusion—the real Adam had already appeared behind Malcolm.

The raven-haired youth had a cold look on his face as he drew his staff into position, applied the principles of the Hand of Doom into it, and let out a devastating blow, while at the same time rotating the weapon.

Staff of Doom: One Hit!!

Malcolm had never felt such immense danger to his life before. He knew that this was not something he could evade. Neither was this something he could block.

He gritted his teeth, and at the last moment, he leaned to the side.

The staff that was about to pierce through his chest, now instead impaled his shoulder.

BAM!

The sheer destructive force of the attack was so strong, that Malcolmʼs shoulder blade was blown to smithereens, viciously severing his arm from his body as if it had been ripped apart by a monster.

”AAAAAGGHHHH!!!” Malcolm Morgan screamed at the top of his lungs as his eyes turned bloodshot.

Having a body part severed by a clean cut of the blade would hurt significantly less compared to what he had just gone through.

The man had been attacked by a blunt weapon with such destructive capabilities that his arm had practically exploded as it separated from his torso.

Malcolm dropped to his knees, clutching at his shoulder stump that was gushing with not only blood but small fragments of bones and even pieces of flesh!

It was an extremely ghastly injury, to say the least.

On the other hand, Adam was slightly taken aback when he saw Malcolm escape death.

It was understandable, however. Malcolm Morgan was the leader of this group of Rank 3 Magi sent from the cult. So naturally, he would be stronger than the rest.

But what truly surprised Adam was how seamlessly the technique of the Hand of Doom merged with his staff.

He wondered if this could be possible with any weapons, or only staff-like weapons that were known for their versatility just like how adaptable bare hands could be in battle.

However, this was something he would have to think about at a later time.

For now, he needed to deal with Malcolm and his undead. And then… there was one more thing that he had to finish.

The youth leaped towards the kneeling necromancer, swung in the air, and hammered his staff down vertically.

This time, he was aiming to kill Malcolm Morgan once and for all.

But at the last moment…

CLANG!

The two undead orcs appeared before their summoner and blocked Adamʼs staff with their own weapons.

Adamʼs sheer strength caused the orcs to groan in misery and kneel on the ground, however, they had earned enough time for Malcolm.

The emerald-eyed man cast a hateful gaze towards Adam and spat through gritted teeth, ”I will make you pay for this, Constantine! Mark my words!”

With that said, he conjured a scroll from his storage artifact. Then, without waiting for another moment, he injected his mana into it and tore it in half with his mouth.

Following that, an incorporeal door appeared behind Malcolm. The man cast one final glance filled with apathy towards the raven-haired youth before withdrawing into the door, leaving behind his parting words, ”This is not over, Constantine!”

Adamʼs expression turned extremely dark. At that moment, he was reminded of Kevin Gracie, whom he was unable to kill when he had the chance.

Because of that simple mistake, he had to face terrible consequences. He had lost his close allies because of that simple mistake, almost lost the people whom he cherished the most, and on more than one ocassion almost died himself.

Never again!

Adamʼs expression turned ferocious. Extremely ferocious.

However, he knew there was nothing he could do against that spell. He could not stop it. After all, the magic scroll that Malcolm had just torn had a very advanced spell inscribed on it…

Rank 4 Spell: Dimensional Door!

Thus, Adam did the next best thing. He gathered spiritual energy into his hand and flicked a small wisp of this energy towards Malcolm.

Before the door completely disappeared out of existence, the wisp of spiritual ennergy entered through it and burrowed inside Malcolmʼs body!

As the Dimensional Door disappeared, along with Malcolm Morgan, a terrifying silence descended on the third floor of the House of Cards.

Then came the immense fury radiating from Adam, twisting the very air around him. He couldnʼt help but mutter under his breath, ”That damned necrophile bastard… Heʼs even more cautious than I am!”

He then cast his gaze at the two undead orcs kneeling before him. Then, he casually swung his staff and hurled them towards the other end of the floor.

Following that, he cast a simple hand spell, causing the House of Cards to tremble. Then, the ceiling of this grand pyramid gradually dissipated to countless small playing cards before ultimately vanishing into thin air.

Sunlight seeped into the interiors of the grand pyramid that was slowly sinking into the ground. Moreover, Adam had also canceled the spell, Hunger of Malthor.

Now that all the undead creatures inisde the pyramid had been taken care of, it didnʼt make sense for him to continue to expend his mana by having these two spell activated.

As the House of Cards completely dissipated into numerous regular-sized playing cards and disappeared out of existence, Adam and the two orcs now found themselves standing on the vast grassy field of the clifftop.

Adam gazed at the undead orcs with a cold and indifferent face. ”I donʼt have enough time to experiment with my staff techniques with the likes of you now,” he said as he viciously planted his staff on the ground beside him.

Then, he sacrificed several red crystals and weaved a complex set of hand seals. Following that, a dozen magic circles materialized in the air, and from them, large flaming spheres emerged.

Rank 3 Spell: Adamʼs Fireball Barrage!

With a simple wave of his hand, Adam willed the dozen Great Fireballs to hurl towards the orcs. In front of such a mighty attack, there was no escape. They could only stand there and try their best to tank the attacks with their undead bodies.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Multiple explosions compounded together and formed an even greater explosion that drew everyoneʼs attention to the clifftop.

Seeing the two undead orcs squirming about in a sea of flames, Adamʼs eyes narrowed.

He was still not done!

The youth cast another complex set of hand seals and cast his final spell at the orcs. A dozen magic circles appeared in the air above him, and from them, pure orbs of mana materialized.

Then, the orbs of pure mana swirled in mid-air at great speeds, forming an extremely potent penetrative force.

Rank 3 Spell: Adamʼs Magic Missile!
