Chapter 5 Attack!

Putting away his pistol, Luo Xiu set all the defensive towers in the camp to automatic attack mode.

In this mode, even if Luo Xiu is not in the camp, he will automatically kill the strange creatures wandering nearby.

Immediately afterwards, Luo Xiu took out the green summoning core dropped by the giant.

”Green summoning core, plus spirit wood, I don’t know what kind of summoned beast will be synthesized...”

With a mentality of trying, Luo Xiu threw the summoning core and 100 points of spirit wood into the fire of life, and began to synthesize the summoned beast.

After the flames jumped for a while.

A giant over three meters tall appeared in front of Luo Xiu!
【Forest Giant】

[Quality: Green (equivalent to a second-order strange creature)]

[HP: 300/300]

[Attack Power: 15]

[Defense Power: 30]

【Action Power: 10】

[Skill 1—Rejuvenation: Recover 5% of HP per minute]

[Skill 2 - Entanglement: Extend vines from the ground, entangle the opponent for 10 seconds, and weaken the opponent’s defense]

”Green-quality summoned beasts are not bad, so the chances of survival can be improved a lot.”

Luo Xiu was a little surprised. He didn’t expect that the first time he synthesized it through the fire of life, he would succeed, and it was still a green-quality summoned beast.

Although the forest giant’s mobility is slow, its defense is very high, making it suitable for use as a guard.

To survive in this weird place, defense and health are the most important. Otherwise, no matter how high your lethality and firepower are, you will not be able to withstand the attack of weird creatures like a wave.

”Forest guard, turn on the follow guard mode!”

”Roar!”

The huge body of the forest giant moved and stood beside Luo Xiu.

The summoned beast in guardian mode will protect Luo Xiu’s body when there are no enemies. When an enemy appears, it will take the initiative to protect and attack the enemy.

Moreover, the vision of the summoned beast varies according to the type.

Luo Xiu’s field of vision is only about ten meters.

The forest giant’s field of vision is a full hundred meters.

After all, the core of the forest giant’s summoning comes from a strange creature like a giant, who lives in the black mist and has adapted to the dark vision.

Opening the gate of the camp, a gust of cold wind whizzed past.

In the distance is the endless black mist and woodland, accompanied by screams from time to time, the entire ancient woodland looks extremely eerie.

Luo Xiu gripped the pistol tightly and walked out of the camp, just over 100 meters away.

The forest giant beside him suddenly moved, lifted a stone on the ground, and smashed it viciously in one direction.

The giant has a huge body and looks cumbersome, but it moves very fiercely.

Luo Xiu couldn’t even see his movements clearly, the boulder had already flown out.

Accompanied by a loud bang.

The strange creature in the darkness in the distance let out a miserable howl, and was directly crushed to death by the boulder.

”The forest giant of green quality is really powerful.”

Luo Xiu was amazed.

It’s not so much the quality of the green, it’s better to say that creatures like giants are powerful.

It is also a strange creature, but it is also divided into three, six, and nine grades.

For example, among weird creatures of the same level, giants are much stronger than zombies.

The summoning cores dropped by different creatures will have more or less influence when synthesizing summoned beasts.

For example, the core dropped by the giant + the wooden material such as spirit wood, and finally the forest giant is synthesized.

Of course, this situation is not absolute.

In most cases, the core of the summoned beast is relatively random.

After all, things like summoning cores were not born in strange creatures, but existed in the world a long time ago.

It was just accidentally obtained by some weird creatures and enhanced its own abilities.

After confirming the strength of the forest giant, Luo Xiu felt more at ease.

In this case, as long as he doesn’t encounter a third-order strange creature, he can easily solve it.

General weird creatures are divided into six stages, corresponding to the six colors of human props.

A third-level strange creature, equivalent to a blue-quality summoned beast or defense tower.

This is still very rare in the ancient woodland that has just become a restricted area for life.

Creatures that enter here, whether they are human or weird, are crazily plundering resources, constantly evolving and increasing their strength.

It can be said that this is a race in which all things compete, and it has only just begun.

Before the Kuroshio, all creatures are fighting for a chance at advancement.

After dealing with a small group of strange creatures, Luo Xiu began to explore deeper into the darkness.

He was originally located at the bottom of the ancient tree, which is also the most open area.

This towering giant tree, like a big mountain, stretches across the earth and is divided into nine floors.

The closer to the upper layer of the ancient tree, the more treasures it contains.

At the same time, the level of the weird creature is higher.

Luo Xiu explored into the depths of the darkness.

After walking about 3000 meters, I found a mine.

”This is... iron concentrate! Moreover, it is still of green quality, it can accommodate three mining machines, and can produce 150 points of iron ore per day!”

Luo Xiu was overjoyed. Iron concentrate is a high-density and high-strength iron resource, which is much better than ordinary iron ore.

It is also much harder than spirit wood.

It is very suitable for building camps and forging weapons.

However, this mine is more than three kilometers away from his camp, and it takes about half an hour to walk back and forth.

There are only two ways to mine the iron concentrate here back to the camp.

One is to lay resource tracks all the way from the camp to here, and light the fire beacon to guide the way.

In this way, the iron ore concentrate produced by the mine will be directly transported back to the camp through the transportation track.

The other is to build a warehouse after laying the mining machines here, and pick them up regularly.

The first method requires a lot of resources and life fire.

You know, laying a transportation track requires not only wood, but also iron ore. One meter of track requires 5 points of wood and iron ore.

Although Spirit Wood and Iron Concentrate are excellent resources, 1 Spirit Wood and Iron Concentrate are needed to lay a 2.5-meter track.

Calculated, a distance of 3000 meters requires 7500 points of spirit wood and iron concentrate!
Luo Xiu couldn’t afford this amount for the time being. Fortunately, the spiritual wood could be collected as soon as possible if he went back to upgrade the wood cutting machine, including cutting the wood manually.

But the iron concentrate is located in the black mist, and there is no other way except to set up a mining machine to collect it automatically.

If he collects it by himself, it will be very dangerous if he encounters strange creatures attacking him.

Just when Luo Xiu was in a dilemma, a dense roar suddenly came from a distance.

”Roar!”

”Hiss—”

The cry of the strange creature, accompanied by the black mist, struck again!
Luo Xiu’s expression changed. Hearing the voice, the number was not eight hundred, but three to five hundred!
