”On that day, humans recalled the horror of being dominated by those guys... the humiliation of being imprisoned in a birdcage...”

”We are the hunters, they are the prey!”

”This world is cruel, no matter what, we must live!”

”The enemy, on the other side of the sea!”

On the ancient and solemn square, the high priest made a resounding voice.

Among the crowd, Luo Xiu slowly opened his eyes, still in a daze.

At the same time, a mechanical voice came from my mind.

”Congratulations to the host, you have traveled to the world of national tower defense. Here, you have to defend against the invasion of giants, werewolves, vampires, zombies, evil spirits and other strange creatures!”

”Life is only once, please cherish life.”

After the system beeps.

The memory in Luo Xiu’s mind has also been fused.

”I actually traveled to the world of national tower defense, and...”

Luo Xiu raised his head and looked at the majestic altar on the Teleportation Square, exuding divine light, dispelling the darkness.

”I’m going to go to the dark place through the teleportation altar in a while, it’s very dangerous...”

Luo Xiu frowned, his eyes serious.

This is a parallel world, somewhat similar to the comic ”Attack on Titan” I read in my previous life, but different.

Human beings are trapped on a small dark island, the island is full of all kinds of weird creatures that feed on humans.

Humans built three huge walls at the center of the island to protect the human race inside the walls, but with the growth of the population, the resources inside the walls were not enough to sustain the survival of more people.

Therefore, everyone will pass the altar, leave the wall, go to the dark place outside the wall, build a ”tower defense camp”, collect resources, and expel dark creatures.

Of course, there are also people who are unwilling to risk their lives, and only need to pay a fortune to stay inside the wall and enjoy a stable life.

It’s just that most families can’t afford it.

Luo Xiu is an orphan, so naturally he has no choice. The only choice is to go deep into the dark land, ignite the fire of life, expand the camp, and strive to survive!
”This time, the area you want to teleport to is the ancient woodland, which has just been washed by the source of life!”

”The area after the baptism of the source of life will have a lot of resources, but at the same time, it will also attract many strange creatures.”

”It can be said that opportunities and challenges coexist!”

”If you can get some blueprints of ancient defense towers, you may even grow into a camp lord, or a city lord!”

”Those are too far away, it would be nice to survive.”

There were voices of discussion around.

Luo Xiu couldn’t help sighing.

From memory, the old woodland was a very dangerous place.

Although this teleportation was jointly organized by several big cities inside the wall, and there were millions of participants, it was just a drop in the ocean for the strange creatures in the dark land.

Just when he was thinking about how to live.

The system notification sounded in my head again.

”Congratulations to the host, open the infinite tower defense system!”

”It is detected that the host is about to enter the dark place, get the novice gift bag!”

”Open!” Luo Xiu didn’t hesitate.

”Ding!”

”Congratulations to the host, you have obtained an elite-level defense tower—the Prism Tower*3!”

Immediately afterwards, the blueprint of the Prism Pagoda appeared in front of Luo Xiu, full of high-tech feeling, with a faint penetrating light emanating from it.

”Damn it, isn’t this the defensive tower in the Red Police?”

Luo Xiu was a little shocked.

Red Alert is a war game he played in his previous life, in which the European Union’s advanced defense weapon is the Prism Tower!
”Infinite tower defense system, what exactly is it for?”

”The host can kill strange creatures through the defense tower, gain points, exchange for higher-level defense towers or summoned beasts through the system, improve the level of the defense tower, and at the same time make the defense tower or summoned beast evolve.”

”Light Prism Tower: An elite-level defensive tower that can absorb light energy and convert it into laser light to kill opponents, and has additional damage to dark creatures.”

Luo Xiu’s heart moved.

It sounds very similar to the Warcraft tower defense game I played in my previous life.

Kill attacking monsters, obtain resources, improve the quality of defense towers, and create more abilities.

”The defensive towers and buildings in this world, including summoned beasts, have not evolved.”

”As for me, I can improve the level of the defense tower and evolve by constantly killing strange creatures!”

”That’s unlimited potential!”

Luo Xiu was a little excited.

If he can successfully overcome the initial difficulties and successfully establish a tower defense camp, then he can continuously evolve the defense tower, and even bring advanced summoned beasts to counterattack those life restricted areas and obtain some secret treasures.

You must know that there are a large number of peerless treasures in those forbidden areas of life.

”Transmission begins!”

With a shout from the high priest, the teleportation ceremony officially began.

One after another, boys and girls walked slowly towards the teleportation altar, and their figures disappeared in the center of the beam of light.

Luo Xiu only felt his whole body warm, his body was engulfed by white light, and a dazzling light passed before his eyes.

When I opened my eyes again, the scenery around me had changed.

This is a forest shrouded in thick black fog, and there is a terrifying and cold death atmosphere everywhere, as well as the roar of monsters from time to time.

”Summon Arrow Tower!”

Without hesitation, Luo Xiu threw four white arrow tower scrolls from the storage ring.

After landing, four arrow towers appeared out of thin air, protecting Luo Xiu in the middle.

As soon as the arrow tower appeared, automatic shooting began.

Whoosh!
Arrows shot towards the dark forest one by one.

”Roar!”

”hiss……”

In the depths of the jungle, there was a strange scream immediately.

The sound is far away, but very clear.

Luo Xiu felt a little relieved.

Because of the black fog, his field of vision is only a few meters, while the arrow tower is a product of automatic mechanization, with a field of vision of 50 meters, and can automatically find enemies and attack.

These four arrow towers are technological products inside the wall, every novice will be equipped with them, and they are only of white quality.

Items in this world, from low to high, are divided into six types: white, green, blue, purple, gold, and red.

Of course, if you have enough wealth, you can buy blue or even purple defense towers inside the wall at the beginning, and the chances of surviving will be greatly improved.

However, that would be a sky-high fee, and unless it was a high-ranking official, ordinary people would not be able to afford it.

”It’s the greatest luck that it didn’t land in a box.”

Luo Xiu breathed a sigh of relief and began to scan the surrounding environment.

Near him, there is a nearly extinguished torch, which is the ”fire of life”.

The fire of life is the key for human beings to survive in the dark world outside the wall.

Lighting the fire of life can continuously release life energy, activate the camp, and disperse the black mist.

Luo Xiu touched the storage ring, took out a thumb-sized ”fire seed” from it, and put it on the torch.

boom!
The fire of life that was almost extinguished, after devouring the fire seed, if it wakes up, it will burn again.

The surrounding black mist dissipated a lot in an instant.
