Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf

Chapter 94: Chapter 93 Blizzard Hunting, Snowy Owl’s Desperate Struggle.

Su Lin left the cave, his majestic and towering wolf body vanished into the blizzard.

In the Arctic, the Snowy Owl is a kind of raptor, belonging to the larger species of owls.

It’s about seventy to eighty centimeters in size, which is not very large,

but thanks to its ability to fly and its extremely sharp senses, Snowy Owls are difficult to capture and have no natural predators in the Arctic.

They usually feed on Arctic Rabbits, Traveling Rats, or insects.

To deal with such raptors, the Concealment Talent of the Variant Species Lynx is actually more effective.

Because the Snowy Owl is not strong, it is only superior because it can fly and has keen senses.

At this time,

Su Lin was moving quickly through the blizzard and soon arrived at a steep mountain.

There were also many shrubs and bushes growing on the mountain, which could provide better cover for the Snowy Owl’s nest.

The blizzard was howling intensely now.

For such steep mountains, it was very easy for him to climb with his strength.

Pffft… pffft…

The sound of the Wolf Claw lightly sinking into the snow, then Su Lin began to climb quickly.

The howling blizzard and the surrounding dense shrubs successfully concealed Su Lin’s figure.

Soon, on a gentle slope at the mountainside,

he saw a grey-white Snowy Owl, chirping as it fluttered its wings, beginning to reinforce its nest again.

This sudden and long-lasting blizzard had a significant impact on every Arctic creature.

Normally Snowy Owl nests are built very sturdily, but this time they were still almost toppled by the blizzard.

The female Snowy Owl looked at the few little Snowy Owls shivering with cold in the nest and could only desperately bring twig after twig to reinforce the nest and also picked up a lot of bushes to plug the gaps in the nest.

Only then could the little Snowy Owls inside feel a trace of warmth.

Meanwhile, Su Lin lay in ambush not far away, already seeing the female Snowy Owl’s figure clearly.

Species: Snowy Owl (Female).

Level: 4.

Vitality Value: 357.

Endurance: 53.

Strength: 43.

Defense: 21.

Speed: 57.

This female Snowy Owl’s attributes are quite ordinary, with lower defensive power and Vitality Value.

With Su Lin’s current Attack Power, a single hit landing on the Snowy Owl could very likely end its life immediately.

“Goo!”

“Goo!”

The Snowy Owl called out to comfort its chicks while still frantically grabbing twigs to reinforce the nest.

If seen from a human perspective, this scene would be very touching.

But Su Lin felt nothing, as the past human moral values had faded since being reborn as a wolf.

Moreover, this scene also meant that the female Snowy Owl had vulnerabilities and weak points,

With a few chicks as stakes, it probably wouldn’t dare to fly away.

In the blizzard, after the female Snowy Owl had been continuously grabbing twigs for quite some time, it finally managed to secure the nest.

Looking at the few little chicks, who were no longer shivering and calling, “Goo, goo,”

there passed a glimpse of relief in the eyes of the Snowy Owl.

However, it was exactly when the Snowy Owl relaxed

that Su Lin had already crawled to within sixty meters.

This distance was enough!

His pale blue Wolf Eyes glittered with a fierce light.

In a flash, Su Lin sprung into action.

He pushed his Speed to its Peak.

From the position where he lay in ambush to the Snowy Owl’s nest, it took only one second.

That was due to the terrain hindrance, otherwise, it would have been quicker!

While the Snowy Owl’s nest was located in a high position, Su Lin leapt into a sprint covering a height of seven or eight meters.

Boom!

With an enhanced right claw, a ruthless strike!

That massive Strength Value of 150 hit the female Snowy Owl precisely.

It even shattered the recently fortified nest completely.

Several young Snowy Owls, also panicked, fell from the nest, crying out.

The shrubs and bushes that made up the nest were scattered in the fierce blizzard.

And the female Snowy Owl that was hit already had a low Vitality Value.

Su Lin’s heavy blow not only knocked the Snowy Owl straight out of the nest,

but his sharp Wolf Claw also instantly tore through its feathers and flesh, even slicing open one of its wings.

The female Snowy Owl that fell to the ground was left with blood flowing freely.

In fear and panic, it struggled to flap, but it couldn’t fly anymore.

Eventually, it sensed Su Lin’s presence,

and as it looked at the mighty and towering White Wolf, terror deepened in its eyes.

But still, it desperately moved towards its young, raising its only remaining wing, trying to defend its children.

However, a Snowy Owl that can’t fly is no more than a fish on the chopping board in Su Lin’s presence.

After all, not to mention the Snowy Owls, even the Bear Clan with their huge Vitality Value,

would fall to the sharp Wolf Claw on land.

Su Lin, looking at the Snowy Owl still trying to struggle and protect her children, decided to put the female Snowy Owl out of its misery.

He extended his claw and smashed it down on the Snowy Owl’s head, ending its life.

The ruthless Su Lin caused the young Snowy Owls to be filled with fear and terror, perceiving him as a veritable demon.

But just as Su Lin was about to grant the little ones a quick end,

suddenly, a sorrowful and extremely sharp cry of a Snowy Owl came from behind.

“Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!”

The cry was massive, traveling through the blizzard from two or three hundred meters away.

Su Lin quickly turned around, his pale blue Wolf Eyes looking behind him.

Soon, he saw an enormous Snowy Owl with wings spread wide, and a wingspan of about two meters seventy-eight, flying towards him through the blowing snow!

And its flight was incredibly fast, reaching a Speed of about forty meters per second.

Seeing this, Su Lin’s gaze intensified!

Variant Species!

Without checking the data panel, he knew this was definitely a Variant Species that had broken the Species limit!

Since the arrival of the Purple Lynx in the Arctic, Su Lin had noticed an increase in Variant Species.

“Could it be some change in the natural world? Is it that Ice Age the Poachers mentioned?”

At this moment, Su Lin had no time to think further.

The fierce and daunting giant Snowy Owl was fast approaching him.

In Su Lin’s eyes, there was not a hint of retreat,

he let out a long howl, the murderous aura on his body rising again!

So what if it’s a Variant Species?

He had killed such before, and more of them meant more fuel for his Evolution!

His sharp Wolf Claws were fully extended, flashing a chilling light in the harsh blizzard!

Su Lin was also sprinting fast and then, leveraging his Speed of over sixty meters per second, he leaped a full eight meters high.

In mid-air, he could clearly see the fierce and terrifying look in the giant Snowy Owl’s large eyes,

It was evident that this Snowy Owl must be the father of the young ones.

He wondered how such a large creature had managed to mate with that unfortunate female Snowy Owl?

But this thought was fleeting,

as his eyes still gleamed with ferocity and ruthlessness!

If he was the one who killed the female Snowy Owl, so what?

The law of the survival of the fittest is the strongest law in nature!

As the resounding wolf howl and the piercing cry of the Snowy Owl had not yet dissipated in the blizzard,

Su Lin’s sharp Wolf Claws collided fiercely with the talons of the Snowy Owl in mid-air, eight or nine meters above the ground!
