Global Survival: Start a Shelter

Chapter 42 Hunting at Night

Chapter 42 Hunting at Night
While it’s still dark.

Three people and one wolf came to the cultivated land again.

just got close.

Xia Yixue became vigilant.

”Something has come.”

After hearing this, Su Ming stopped and observed.

Sure enough, some looming footprints were found on the ground.

”It’s a strange beast.”

”More than one.”

Xia Yixue squatted down and carefully observed these footprints.

After a while, come to a conclusion.

”Some just came last night, and some just came this morning.”

When Su Ming heard this, his eyes froze.

”Sure enough, I’m more active than before.”

In the past, strange beasts rarely left the ruins and came to such a desolate place.

”Looking at the footprints, they are all small exotic animals.”

Su Ming looked at the footprints on the ground and frowned.

After a while, a decision was made.

”Let’s kill a few tonight.”

”After being beaten, they can know that this place is not for them to come.”

Xia Yixue hesitated for a moment, nodded and said, ”Okay.”

The cultivated land is not far from the shelter.

Driving away the strange beasts in the cultivated land is also to ensure the safety of the refuge.

after all
No one wants to open the door early in the morning and see a bunch of strange beasts squatting at the door of the shelter.

After making a decision.

The three returned to the shelter to rest for a while.

It’s getting dark.

Su Ming put on his cotton-padded jacket, took a pistol, and returned to the farmland.

It was quiet all around.

There was no trace of the alien beast.

”The four of us are each responsible for one direction, focus on it and don’t get distracted.”

”it is good!”

”Ow!”

It’s getting darker.

The howling of various strange beasts began to sound around.

Judging from the sound, it was far away from the cultivated land.

Gradually.

Er Gouzi became a little impatient, lying on the ground, staring ahead boredly.

Time passed minute by minute.

In a blink of an eye.

It’s night.

There was still no movement of strange beasts around.

Su Ming frowned.

”Could it be Er Gouzi’s breath that scared them away?”

The evolved Ergouzi is a third-level alien beast.

It is the existence second only to the three giant lions.

With it, it’s normal for other strange beasts not to dare to approach.

then.

Su Ming looked at Er Gouzi and said, ”Er Gouzi, return to the shelter.”

Er Gouzi heard this, stood up, but did not leave.

”Aww” sounded.

It seemed that he was worried about Su Ming’s safety.

”Don’t worry, I will call you if there is danger.”

With Su Ming’s words.

Er Gouzi left the farmland with peace of mind.

Now, only Su Ming and the others are left near the cultivated land.

Waited another half hour.

at last.

In front of Su Ming, there was a rustling sound.

”coming!”

Su Ming’s eyes narrowed, he clenched his pistol tightly, and stared ahead.

It was a medium-sized beast.

It has two long tusks and looks a bit like a wild boar.

【Long-toothed pig】

[Explanation: The second-order alien beast has a violent temper and eats meat. The male is larger and the female is smaller. The attack method is mainly collision. Breeding is recommended. 】

Su Ming looked at the strange beast, and a row of information suddenly appeared in his mind.

It’s a Handbook of Alien Beast Appreciation!
Unexpectedly, this pig, which looks ordinary, is actually a second-level exotic beast.

Thick skin and flesh.

Very strong defense.

Isn’t that pistol useless?

The weakness is the words of the eyes.

With Xia Yixue’s shooting skills, there shouldn’t be any problem if it hits its eyes.

Su Ming approached Xia Yixue and whispered, ”Did you see that long-tusked pig? Hit its eyes.”

”it is good.”

Xia Yixue nodded, and aimed at the long-toothed pig with a sniper rifle.

After three seconds.

A shot went off.

The tusked pig let out a pitiful cry and hit the ground heavily.

”died?”

”That’s it?”

Su Ming was slightly taken aback.

Immediately, ecstasy appeared on his face.

The exotic animal appreciation manual is really useful!

Without this thing, Su Ming would never have thought of aiming at its eyes.

With its rough skin and thick flesh, you might not know how much effort it would take to kill it.

Su Ming was not happy for a while.

Information came to mind again.

【Digging Badger】

[Explanation: Tier [-] alien beasts are cautious in character and eat meat. The male has patterns on the back, but the female does not. The attack method is minions. It is good at digging the ground and has high flexibility. The weakness is low defense. It is not recommended to breed. 】

”Another one?”

Su Ming cheered up and looked forward.

Sure enough, I saw a small raised mound not far away.

Seems to have realized something.

The mound is slowly retreating.

If you don’t observe carefully, you can’t see it at all.

Su Ming pointed to the mound and said, ”Shoot at that place.”

Xia Yixue was startled, a little puzzled.

There’s nothing there, wouldn’t it be a waste of bullets to shoot?

I thought so.

But she still listened to Su Ming’s words, aimed at the mound, and pulled the trigger.

boom!
A shot went off.

A small alien beast suddenly jumped up and ran away quickly.

Xia Yixue, with quick eyes and quick hands, fired another shot.

boom!
The small alien beast fell to the ground in response and remained motionless.

”How do you know that there are strange beasts hidden there?”

Xia Yixue put away her gun and looked at Su Ming, her eyes full of surprise.

”intuition.”

Su Ming frowned and said so.

The Alien Beast Appreciation Manual was his trump card.

Su Ming didn’t intend to tell others about it.

What’s more, even if I told Xia Yixue, it was useless.

The Alien Beast Appreciation Manual is produced by the system, only you can use it, and you cannot share it.

Seeing that Su Ming didn’t want to say more, Xia Yixue didn’t ask further questions. She just said, ”You have half of the credit for catching these two strange beasts. When we divide the supplies, each of us has half.”

How much supplies can a long-haired pig and a digging badger have.

Su Ming didn’t take it to heart at all.

But he still nodded and said, ”Okay.”

In less than half an hour, there were two strange beasts.

Su Ming and Xia Yixue cheered up and tried to kill as many as possible.

however.

for the next hour or so.

No more strange beasts appeared.

At this moment, it was completely dark.

The temperature also dropped to the lowest point.

Even though I was wearing a padded jacket and there was no campfire, I still felt a little cold.

”Come here tonight, set up a trap, and we’ll come back tomorrow night.”

Seeing that it is unlikely that the alien beast will come again.

Su Ming took out forty traps from his backpack and distributed them to Xia Yixue and Leona.

Have them lay traps near the shelter.

Then, he stood up and stretched himself.

The heads of the three giant lions were taken out and inserted in the middle of the cultivated field.

Temperatures are rising.

This means that from now on, you can grow food and vegetables without building a greenhouse.

Su Ming is going to spend a day cleaning up the strange beasts nearby.

Then start planting.

I hope to catch a wave before the temperature changes.

of course
If it is an ordinary seed, the growth cycle is at least three or four months.

It is almost impossible to wait until the harvest is planted.

But Su Ming inquired about it on the communication channel.

The seeds in the wasteland are very different from ordinary seeds.

For example, peppers have a normal growth cycle of about four months.

On the wasteland, it only takes a week.

This provides the possibility for humans to grow crops.

”No surprises, you will be able to eat chili in seven days.”

Su Ming felt excited when he thought of this.

however.

Just now.

Suddenly there was a roar of a strange beast not far away.

”Roar--”
