Chapter 1 Global Travel, Survival in the Wasteland

”What is this place?”

Su Ming opened his eyes and suddenly found himself in a dark environment.

On the side, the flickering candle made him barely able to see everything in the room.

In less than five meters of space, there was only a cold wooden bed.

Other than that, nothing else.

There are no windows.

There are no chairs.

No food.

Even the door was made of wood and was in a state of decay.

Su Ming looked around for a week, and his first reaction was:
”I was kidnapped?”

But in the next second, he denied the idea.

The reason is simple, no one will kidnap a male college student who has nothing.

And he was not restricted in his personal freedom.

If he wasn’t kidnapped, how could he appear here?

Su Ming was wondering.

Suddenly, a clear electronically synthesized sound sounded next to my ears.

【Global Survival Race】

【Welcome to the wasteland world】

[This is a scorched land full of radiation, with a changeable climate, harsh environment, and scarce resources. 】

【What you have to do is to survive here and look for opportunities to build your home. 】

[Everyone will get a shelter and a survival manual at the beginning. 】

[The Survival Manual can help you survive better. 】

[Finally, I wish you all good luck! 】

When Su Ming heard the voice, a look of shock appeared on his face.

A global race for survival?

Does it mean that all 70 billion people in the world have been pulled into this wasteland to participate in this race?

Who has such a terrifying ability? And why do you want to do this?
As soon as these two questions appeared in Su Ming’s mind, they were passed by him.

It’s no use thinking about it now.

The most critical question now is how to survive in this wasteland with harsh environment.

Su Ming thought of this, and suddenly remembered what the voice said just now.

Start a shelter?

”So, this is my refuge?”

Su Ming looked around again, his expression became a little speechless.

”What kind of shelter is this? It’s clearly a small cave!”

”I don’t know what other people’s shelters are like.”

”Forget it, no matter what, read the survival manual first.”

Su Ming was depressed for a while and stopped thinking about these problems.

With a thought, a screen like a game interface appeared in front of my eyes.

【Survival Manual】

[[-]. Survival is always your top priority]

[[-]. Collecting resources can build shelters]

[[-]. The changeable climate forces you to make adequate preparations]

[[-]. There are many strange beasts wandering in the scorched earth, most of them are extremely ferocious and feed on humans. A small number of them are docile and can be tamed]

[[-]. Communication and transactions between players are not prohibited, it may bring you help, or it may lead you to death]

【[-]. Do not trust any aborigines】

”Collect resources to build shelters.”

”Players can communicate and trade.”

”There are strange beasts, and aborigines.”

Su Ming keenly captured three key information points.

Turn to the first page of the survival manual and continue reading.

The latter content is very simple, only three parts.

At the top is the [item synthesis table].

In the middle is the [Shelter Construction Table].

At the bottom is [communication and transaction].

Su Ming clicked on the [Item Synthesis Table] first.

【普通石斧：木材（0/1）、石块（0/6）、麻绳（0/2）】

【普通石铲：木材（0/1）、石块（0/6）、麻绳（0/2）】

[Ordinary mallet: wood (0/3), hemp rope (0/6)]

【.】

It is full of various items, and it has more than a dozen pages.

The synthesis interface is all gray. Not surprisingly, it is a problem of lack of raw materials.

There are also some items with locked marks, which should require a special method to unlock.

”With this synthesis table, survival is a little easier.”

Su Ming thought and clicked on the second interface [Shelter Construction List]

[Ordinary wooden doors: wood (0/30), iron nails (0/60)]

[Woodthorn Trap: Wood (0/30)]

[Wooden Fence: Timber (0/20)]

【.】

These two interfaces have a lot of similarities with a game Su Ming played before, ”Seven Days to Kill”.

I just don’t know if those survival skills in his game are useful in the real world.

Next is the third interface [communication and transaction]

This interface is divided into two small interfaces [communication] and [transaction]

The [Communication] interface is divided into [World], [Region], and [Private].

[World] interface, the flow of information is so fast that Su Ming can’t see what others are saying at all.

[Region] interface will be better.

[There is a lion outside my sanctuary, with three heads, it looks bigger than an elephant!Am I finished]

[Can someone help me?I haven’t eaten for three days, and I’m tied up in this ghost place, I’m about to starve to death! 】

[I am 22 years old, 165cm tall, and have a good face. Is there anyone in 36D willing to take me along to survive? 】

Su Ming looked at the messages sent by other people and shook his head.

”It seems that someone is worse than myself, and the start is hell mode.”

”This woman is quite good at using her own advantages, but she doesn’t know whether her tricks will work in the wasteland.”

”After all, there is no legal constraint here. Even if someone treats her as a slave, she has no way to resist.”

After thinking about it, he still didn’t open the channel, but opened the next interface.

【trade】

It may be that they have just traveled through, and everyone has not yet adapted, and they are all hiding in the shelter.

So the transaction interface is blank.

After reading the survival manual, Su Ming began to plan his actions.

”The manual says that the climate here is changeable, and you must be well prepared. That is to say, it is still hot summer, and it may turn into cold winter in a few days.”

”If that’s the case, we can’t sit still.”

”The more resources you collect, the more hope you have to survive!”

Su Ming thought of this and stood up.

After looking around, he confirmed that there were no other tools in the shelter except for a candle that was about to burn out.

Got up and walked to the door.

Look outside through the gap in the wooden door.

On the gray land, a few clusters of weeds grew sparsely.

Surrounded by a dry forest, there is no movement of living things.

”It seems that I am still lucky, at least there is no danger near the refuge.”

After repeated confirmation, Su Ming finally pushed open the wooden door and walked out.

It really is a wasteland world.

The sky is gray and the sun cannot be seen.

There was a gray cloud in front of my eyes, which made me feel very depressed.

There was a pungent smell in the air, disgusting.

It took Su Ming a while to adapt to the environment here.

I am preparing to collect materials to make a handy stone axe.

Suddenly, I heard a voice coming from my ear.

【Survival system is on】

[Survive to get rewards]

【The first day of survival】

[Reward 1: Ultimate Beauty (Random)]

[Reward 2: Legendary Stone Ax]

[Reward 3: Farm (with three types of livestock, one male and one female)]

【please choose】
