The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System

Chapter 186: 186 - just don’t beg when I start knocking your teeth out

Mystical beasts, despite their similar appearance, were completely different from spirit beasts, having intelligence and speech capabilities similar to, if not superior to humans.

Most of the nine great sects and seven great families had one mystical beast as a guardian.

”I am Yanxiao, guardian of the Eternal River Sect,” the tiger spoke.

His voice was masculine, deep and calm , carrying the dignity of an emperor.

”The elder assigned to test you is unfortunately unable to attend. Normally, a lower level instructor would take care of this matter, but I have decided to take on this position this year,” Yanxiao spoke again.

Those words immediately raised hushed whispers among the crowd.

The guardian giving the sect’s selection test?

No one there had ever heard of anything like that. But for many there, just seeing the guardian, a being of the transcendent realm, was worth it, so they didn’t question it.

”None of you would be here without proving your worth, so I won’t delay you with pointless talent tests.” With a smooth movement, the tiger leapt towards the platform where the young people to be selected were standing.

Following him, the fifty inner disciples above the gate also jumped.

The moment the tiger landed on the platform, the air temperature rose rapidly, its mere presence forcing everyone to retreat.

”But first, I need to thin out their numbers a bit.”

The tiger’s large, sharp claws tore through the marble of the platform and as the fifty inner disciples stopped beside it.

Its aura exploded from its body, a burning heat spreading throughout the platform as it used just over 1% of its power.

Gritting his teeth, Qingyi circulated his Qi. He shuddered slightly, but his constitution was able to withstand it.

Turning his face, he looked at the silver-haired beauty.

Qingxue was panting, drops of sweat running down the deep valley of her breasts as her legs trembled.

But she forced herself to be strong, using her wind Qi to cool herself down as much as possible while resisting.

It wasn’t long before the number of young people began to fall.

When the number of young people reached half, Yanxiao’s large feline face lit up in a bestial smile and he released the pressure.

”Very well, that number should do.” Yanxiao scratched the ground once more and the space around them distorted, the ground beneath their feet seeming to disappear as the world around them changed.

When they felt their feet beneath them again, they found themselves in a large grassy plain surrounded by a dense forest.

’A teleportation formation, and a powerful one...’ Qingyi’s eyes widened.

Such formations did exist in the outer region, the Ascending Dragon Sect itself had one, but it couldn’t take more than five low-level cultivators or a single elder.

He could only imagine the amount of energy needed to be able to transport more than five hundred cultivators of the Burning Blood Realm like that.

”Guardian, can you explain to us exactly what the tests will be this year?” One of the young cultivators asked, his luxurious clothes fluttering as he stepped forward.

”Yes, where is the three level test?” another spoke up, also with noble features and clothes.

”Have patience, little ones. I’ve received permission from the sect leader to do this test my way, so we’ll skip straight to the flags test.” Yanxiao turned his face towards the inner disciples.

”These will be the inner disciples who will evaluate you. Their cultivation may seem a little intimidating, but don’t worry, they are here to evaluate you and not to defeat you.

They will each have a flag and will be distributed randomly throughout the forest. They are only allowed to defend, not attack.

Once you’ve taken the flag, just bring it back to this spot and as you can imagine, only fifty of you will pass.”

Yanxiao explained as he knocked on the ground and a pillar carrying a crystal ball rose up in front of him.

”Any questions?” he asked.

”Actually I-”

”Perfect,” Yanxiao interrupted the young man who was trying to speak. ”Line up, this orb will send you to random parts of the forest.”

Following Yanxiao’s words, the five hundred challengers formed a line, Qingyi and Qingxue standing two places apart.

[Good luck]

Qingxue’s sweet, serene voice sounded in Qingyi’s ears via sound transmission as she placed her hands on the orb.

Her body immediately disappeared in a beam of light.

Qingyi stepped forward soon after, raising his vision and meeting the eyes of Zhao Yulei, who looked ready to eat him alive.

[I hope I fall into the same zone as you.]

Zhao Yulei sent a sound transmission to Qingyi, unable to contain his murderous intent.

To his surprise, Qingyi only smiled softly in response.

[Me too, just don’t beg when I start knocking your teeth out]

Soon, Qingyi’s body also disappeared in a beam of light, leaving Zhao Yulei stunned behind.

How could that damned commoner dare to speak to him like that?

The tiger noticed their exchange, but just ignored it and the moment he found himself alone on the marble platform, he leapt upwards, his body taking flight as his flaming Qi surrounded him.

breaking the sound barrier and continuing to double his speed again and again, it didn’t take long for him to soar beyond the clouds.

”See? I told you I could still do it, hahaha! My efficiency is unmatched!” Yanxiao laughed as his huge body appeared next to a woman whose appearance was covered by a veil, floating subtly above a small cloud.

Her curves showed beauty, unlike the little skin she had visible, her hands were covered in horrible scars, as were her lips that drank from a cup of tea.

She looked as if she had been bathed in fire, her skin melting into her flesh and bones.

”In fact, it’s unmatched - one of the worst I’ve ever seen, fufufu~~” The woman laughed, her voice calm and charming.

”Worst? Woman, I already used to do those things when your grandfather - no, when your grandfather’s grandfather wore diapers.”

”That was many tens of millennia ago.”

”Yes, but I still haven’t lost my touch.” Yanxiao looked away, his pride clearly wounded.

Suddenly, Yanxiao’s gaze changed.

To ensure fairness, the flag bearers had been divided equally throughout the forest and they were not allowed to move.

Yet one of them was moving.

”Let me guess, it’s the young Zhao boy?” The woman spoke, noticing the change in the tiger’s gaze.

”Who else?” Yanxiao growled. ”Honestly, what the hell was in your head when you came up with that policy of avoiding intervening in the affairs of the great families and giving the disciples so much freedom?”

”My head? That was nine thousand years ago, I wasn’t even born yet.”

”Uh... Sometimes I forget how little you humans live.” Yanxiao shook his head.

”We were one of the most powerful sects, we endured the last demon war and the other two that came before it, I myself have already beheaded a celestial demon with my own teeth.

I still remember the disgusting taste of that son of a bitch’s blood.

Even so, a single change of policy was all it took for us to become the weakest of the nine great sects. Sometimes I regret promising your ancestor not to intervene in the sect’s politics.”

Hearing Yanxiao’s words, the woman just took another sip from her cup of tea.

”Just watch. If necessary, intervene.”

”As the sect leader wishes.”
