The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System

Chapter 161: 161 - today will be different

”Feiyan...” Qingyi shook the beauty in his arms, her beautiful brown eyes slowly opening before closing again.

”Ugh... just ten more minutes...” She stammered, snuggling further into Qingyi’s arms.

”Ah... The banquet’s about to start. You’d better wake up soon if you don’t want me to eat alone with Ruyan.” Qingyi spoke, his words finally awakening the tanned beauty.

Her face immediately lost all sleep, her huge breasts bouncing wildly as she stood up,

’No one will eat alone with my Qingyi!’ She repeated in her mind as she put on her clothes and combed her hair.

”That girl...” Qingyi just smiled as he shook his head, also getting dressed.

After getting ready, they went out into the wide corridors of the Scarlet Dragon Palace, where a servant was already waiting for them.

”Young Master Qingyi, Young Miss Feiyan, the leader elder has asked me to guide you to the banquet hall.” The servant bowed respectfully.

Receiving a nod from the couple, he led them into a large hall where dozens of tables could be seen, with many disciples and elders surrounding them.

At the northernmost table, above a large platform, sat the five scarlet dragon elders and the three sect leaders, drinking animatedly as they chatted.

Qingyi and Feiyan took a table further away.

The food hadn’t arrived yet, but there were plenty of drinks.

”Would you like some wine, husband? Or do you want liquor?” Feiyan asked, her eyes skimming excitedly over the expensive wines on the table.

”Hm... Wine.” Qingyi chose, raising his vision to look around the hall.

His eyes met with the figure of Ruyan, sitting boredly at a table while Young Master Shen talked non-stop, gesticulating exaggeratedly.

She seemed to be a single second away from exploding when she also raised her face, her gaze meeting Qingyi’s as if he were an envoy from heaven.

Standing up, she walked over to Qingyi’s table, her dress fluttering gracefully with each step, following the sway of her breasts, hidden by a modest neckline.

”Junior brother Qingyi... would it be a problem if I sat with you?” she asked politely.

Young Master Shen froze at the sight, his eyes filled with daggers and his whole body shook with rage.

He took a step forward, but sensing Qingyi’s cold, penetrating gaze, he quickly turned away.

He didn’t know how, but Qingyi had gone far beyond his cultivation level, reaching the peak of the golden core realm.

Young Master Shen was far from the pinnacle of intelligence, but he still had one or two functioning neurons that warned him to keep distance from Qingyi.

”Of course, senior sister Ruyan,” Qingyi gestured for her to sit down, the beauty’s eyes soon focusing on Feiyan.

”Junior sister Feiyan, I’ve heard about your achievements, one of the most talented alchemists in the entire outer region of the Blue Moon Continent - no, in the entire Blue Moon Continent. Qingyi is truly blessed to have such a beautiful and talented wife.”

Ruyan’s rosy lips curved slightly towards Feiyan.

”I’m nothing compared to senior sister Ruyan,” Feiyan replied, her plump red lips also curving into a polite smile.

Although she was a little jealous, she still had to respect Ruyan for helping her husband.

Things could have gotten much more complicated if it hadn’t been for her.

Qingyi just sipped from his glass of wine while Ruyan and Feiyan chatted, their respectful greetings soon turning into hushed gossip and suppressed giggles.

”So, Junior Brother Qingyi, how much do you know about the Scarlet Dragon Competition?” Ruyan finally turned her attention to him.

”Not much really. My master has said very little. Does senior sister Ruyan have any knowledge of it?” Qingyi raised an eyebrow.

”Yes, as you can imagine, my father isn’t that restrained with knowledge.

For now, all I know is that it’s some kind of rotating test, the rewards and challenges change randomly every year.”

”Last year, they ended up in a water world, where they had to survive for weeks on the open sea until they finally reached an island, where they could continue with the challenge, killing monsters and trying to get the scarlet dragon’s inheritance.

Although they all came back alive, they failed to obtain the inheritance, as in every attempt since the fall of the blood dragon emperor a few thousand years ago.”

”I see...” Qingyi scratched his chin.

He didn’t know that the tests were random and he really didn’t like relying on luck.

He had suffered enough in gacha games in his past life to have to go through the same thing here too, hoping for a positive scenario.

Besides, a whole world of water? How much Qi did something of that level cost? Even if it was in a secret realm, it was still absurd to think about.

”Is Junior Brother Qingyi interested in the Scarlet Dragon’s inheritance?” Ruyan asked, noticing Qingyi’s look.

”No,” the handsome young man shook his head.

He already had the bloodline of the corruption dragon god, the scarlet dragon inheritance was totally useless to him.

It wasn’t even of use to his wives, since it was a bloodline linked to hemomancy, a practice which, like poison, lies on the threshold between orthodox and unorthodox cultivation.

”My only goal is to help the master gather materials for her advancement.

She hasn’t told me what, but there seems to be something she needs a lot of in the secret realm to break through to the next level.”

”Oh... my father also talked about something similar, but he didn’t go into it very deeply. Do you have any idea what it might be?” She asked with interest.

”I-” Qingyi opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by the ringing of five large bells.

Hundreds of servants entered the hall at the same time, carrying large trays of food.

Although the food had already been delivered, no one began to eat, waiting for the speech of the leader of the elder, who stood up.

His eyes swept over everyone there with interest, lingering a little longer on Qingyi before he looked straight ahead.

”Today, it is six hundred years since my master passed on the position of leading elder.”

”Six hundred years since I received the mission to protect and guide these children towards the orthodox ways and to one day find an heir worthy of succeeding the Blood Dragon Emperor, one of the five most powerful experts in the history of the continent.”

The leader of the elder council paused for a brief moment, catching his breath.

”But today will be different, I had a dream that today would be the day I would find that worthy heir, so I can only say good luck to all the brave challengers!”
