Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 291: Alpha and Apex Class Symbiotes (Bonus)

”Alpha Class Symbiote… or even higher, an Apex Class Symbiote.”

Nathan, Neyeid, and Bella turned their heads to Evelyn.

Evelyn said, ”You know that currently, the most powerful summoners have the strength to kill the Elite Class Symbiotes, right?”

”Proto-class, Juvenile Class, Mature Class, Warrior Class, and Elite Class. These are the five categories of aliens that we know thus far. That Alpha Class or Apex Class…” Bella squinted her eyes.

”Yeah. My current ability only allows me to fight against Elite Class. However, I have only heard about this rumor, saying that thereʼs an alien much stronger than the Elite Class,” confirmed Evelyn.

”In their original world?” Neyeid gasped.

”Most likely. Itʼs just a rumor, but from what Iʼve heard, the Alpha Class Symbiote is a perfect alien who has become the leader of the symbiote groups. Itʼs extremely powerful.

”It has a near-perfect shape-shifting ability, extensive regeneration, immense strength, or even telepathy and mind control. They are also highly intelligent. Their power is said to be equal, if not surpassing the current strongest people in this world.

”And this Apex Class Symbiote is the ultimate form of symbiote, possessing almost god-like abilities. Theyʼre the ones capable of invading the worlds, not only our worlds, but others. They have perfect shape-shifting and other abilities. They are beings that surpass anyoneʼs imagination,” Evelyn explained.

The tension rose as their hearts skipped a beat.

Nathanʼs heart felt heavy as he couldnʼt help but think, ʼIf the Alpha Class Symbiote is stronger than the likes of the Sage, the Dragon King, or the Pope, itʼs clear that they are beyond hero level.

ʼWell, if I have to assume, theyʼre similar to Anubis, Fenrir, Nidhogg, and other divine beings at their peak state.

ʼOn the other hand, this Apex Class Symbiote is like an Apex Predator. They have surpassed divine beings. Then again, in the Lovecraft series, there are beings like Azathoth, Yog Sothoth, or Nyarlathotep. They can live in outer space, and their abilities are beyond logic.

ʼIf I think that way… no, wait. Is there Cthulhu in this world? He is a kind of messenger, right? Maybe he survives and becomes a messenger to liberate his kin or something? There are simply too many questions that canʼt be answered.

ʼHowever, the Alpha and Apex Class Symbiotes have just complicated the situation even further.ʼ

Nathan rubbed his forehead, thinking about it carefully.

Meanwhile, Bella couldnʼt help but ask, ”Are they aiming to find a host that can turn into an Alpha Class Symbiote? With that kind of ability, theyʼre trying to kill that and become the first person to kill an Alpha Class Symbiote?

”Because of that, they caused the Bloody Banquet a few years ago? It was a bit of a stretch, but we couldnʼt ignore this possibility. Or maybe they were simply not the same people…”

Neyeid shook his head. ”I donʼt know anything right now. Actually, thatʼs your job, Bella. Do you think you can extract that information from him?”

”Thatʼs the problem. According to Christopher, he has the same curse. And because we have been targeting him, Iʼm afraid that the owner of the curse will accelerate the process and kill him before we can ask about anything.

”Right now, Christopher is busy praying to create a barrier that will stop the curses from getting activated remotely.” Bella sighed in frustration.

”Hmm.” Nathan rubbed his chin. ”Can you make him summon his other familiars?”

”Yes. All the familiars have been imprisoned right now, but they have become aware of what their summoner has been doing. Apparently, they havenʼt been summoned for a while and are scared that there is an alien theyʼre not aware of in their bodies. Thatʼs why they have been cooperating with us.”

”Can you give that authority to me? Thereʼs something Iʼd like to try.”

”Are you sure?”

”Yep.” Nathan nodded with a solemn expression. He was thinking about using the contract, especially after it worked during the negotiation with the mayor.

”I donʼt mind.” Bella glanced at Evelyn, who nodded her head.

”Before you go, there is one more thing I need you to know.” Neyeid waved his hand, telling them to stop. ”If you take a look at these three aliens, they are different types of aliens. This means it doesnʼt necessarily need to be one particular alien to turn someone or a familiar into an alien.

”With such an advantage, we have to prevent them from capturing people and releasing the people. They can be operated on without them even realizing it. And when theyʼre trying to cause chaos, they will turn them into aliens and cause massive devastation.

”If possible, itʼs better to get a massive scale search to ensure no one is suffering such a thing. If we can somehow stop it and get the ʼembryoʼ form of the alien and study it, I believe we will be able to find a counter against it… like stopping them from turning into an alien.”

Evelyn thought for a moment. ”Should we kidnap people too and figure out their bodies and aliens?”

”I donʼt think itʼs necessary. If you can give me the list of people you suspect to be, I can use the mission as an excuse to go with them. The new principal should have no problem complying with my request. As soon as we confirm their existence, we will make a move and cooperate with the authorities. What do you think?”

”Can you handle the negotiation? I donʼt think itʼs good for any of us to show ourselves to them.” Evelyn asked.

Nathan agreed. ”Sure. I will negotiate with Sir Sullivan and tell my teacher about it.”

At this point, Nathan started to wonder if he had to tell the truth to Vivian regarding the Fairy Queen. If Vivian summoned the Fairy Queen much faster, they would have another thinker. After all, the Fairy Queen was a kind of walking library. Her wisdom might help them in this situation, and it was just his selfishness that pushed back the date of her summoning.

Before he could reach a conclusion, Bella playfully dragged Nathan to the other room. ”Anyway, letʼs go to the interrogation room!”
