Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 269: Replacement (Bonus)

”I see.” Vivian contemplated. ”A curse grandmaster, huh? I honestly donʼt know who it is. Still, this is precious information. It seems I have to look around to find his identity.”

Vivian didnʼt want to stay quiet, especially since the other party dared to kidnap Nathan. Although it was Axelʼs desperate measure, it didnʼt change the fact that Nathan must mean something big for them.

But before she could conclude the meeting, the principal said, ”You donʼt have to. I think I know who that person is.”

”Huh?” Vivian raised her head. ”Principal?!”

Nathan turned around, finding the principal just entering the room.

”Garam Haygaiden. Thatʼs the culprit.”

”Haygaiden? Your name is Leyfon Haygaiden… Is he your family, Principal?” Vivianʼs heart skipped a beat. If this were true, the situation would become complicated. She had to worry about the principal as well.

In fact, she had stood up as if she were ready to fight him.

Still, the principal simply walked into the room while explaining with a calm expression. ”Both of us were adopted by the previous Curse Grandmaster, Celestia Haygaiden.

”We never really made a name for ourselves when studying under our master. When our master died, I went out and played around, accidentally becoming famous.

”I lost contact with Garam after our masterʼs death. It was probably an admiration to our master, but Garam was so obsessed with curses that he didnʼt bother to do anything other than research.

”I never met him after that day, so I thought he had died. I didnʼt know why this happened as well, but it seemed he was the culprit.”

Vivian and Nathan couldnʼt help but furrow their eyebrows.

”They couldnʼt really believe it, considering the relationship between the two. It didnʼt seem the principal hated this person, which made him suspicious.

That was why they didnʼt know what to say.

”In that case, why does he want to kill someone? We donʼt know who he wants to kill, but this kind of hatred…” Nathan frowned. He even reconsidered Selenaʼs position as his disciple. Since they hadnʼt announced it, it would be easy to cut ties.

”Of course, he shall be cut down!” The principal shook his head. ”I donʼt know what has happened, but one thing is clear. He is doing something he shouldnʼt. Thatʼs why he has to pay the price. And I donʼt think I will be the one to cut him down.”

The principal looked at him, which actually implied to the person behind him. The principal actually wanted Evelyn to kill him?

Considering his previous bond, he couldnʼt bear the thought of killing his brother. But because it was necessary, he left it in someone elseʼs hand.

Nathanʼs expression turned serious.

The principal said, ”Since thatʼs the case, I will have to change my plan. Vivian. Iʼm going to borrow your student for a bit.”

”For what?” Vivian squinted her eyes. ”Principal. If this is true, you will become the prime suspect.”

”I know.” The principal remained calm, as if he had expected it. ”If it comes down to that, Iʼll also take responsibility. But for now, thereʼs something I have to do.

”If I know him correctly, he targets Nathan because he is the only one having beasts as his familiars. What kind of curse will work on him? And other stuff. In the end, he will come to him for the sake of turning him into an experimental subject.

”You and I canʼt protect students all the time. Hence, he will have to get stronger. Since Iʼm going to teach my student a bit, he should join. I will teach them something they can use.”

Vivian frowned. ”If thatʼs the case, I will need to follow you.”

”Of course, youʼre free to do that.” The principal nodded. ”I know youʼre currently suspicious of me and have the right to do so.

”Considering Iʼm the strongest in the academy, someone might end up replacing me pretty soon.”

Nathan couldnʼt help but furrow his eyebrows, thinking, ʼThat might be true. Still, the Pope wonʼt come to this place. Does that mean someone else will come? Or will my master be the new principal?

ʼStill, people will definitely hide this information. The principal will probably do something about it to clear up his name.ʼ Nathan crossed his arms.

In the end, they had no choice but to follow his arrangement for the time being. Vivian also didnʼt waste any time sending a report to the Azilia Kingdom, asking for reinforcement.

Selena and Nathan stood next to each other, facing the principal. Vivian observed them from the corner of the field while crossing her arms.

The principal raised one finger and said, ”Iʼm going to teach you the extension of Ena Manipulation. First of all, what are the categories for Ena manipulation?”

Selena answered instantly. ”There are four basic manipulations: Speed, Concentration, Form, and Enhancement.”

”Thatʼs right.” The principal raised his palm. ”When you gather your Ena, itʼs hard to gather a lot of Ena instantly. Thatʼs why having a good speed to gather that Ena is necessary.

”Concentration is the opposite of speed. You simply gather as much Ena as possible without caring about the time it takes.

”Form is what you currently have, the Avatar. Enhancement is the basic form of imbuing your Ena into something. Right now, the students have learned about the basic body enhancement, but once you get stronger, you will use it for other things like your weapons or armor.

”What Iʼm going to teach you right now is the extension of that power.” The principal twitched his finger. All of a sudden, Selenaʼs staff flew into the sky, leaving her hand.

”!!!” Both of them were startled.

”Do you see what happens?”

They looked serious, not realizing at this time the principal was actually giving his last lesson in this academy.

After all, the one replacing him arrived the next day.

And it was none other than the man who was said to be the strongest in the Azilia Kingdom, the Sword Saint, Sullivan Flamante.
