Su Chen asked: ’How did German and Japanese companies react?’

’Hans Müller, President of DMG Mori’s China region, just submitted his resignation.’ Lin Wan pulled up the intelligence. ’Japan’s Fanuc convened an emergency board meeting to discuss whether to lift restrictions on high-end numerical control system exports to China—they want to trade technology for market access, but we don’t need it anymore.’

’What about the United States?’

’Haas Automation announced it will close two factories in California and move them to Mexico and China. The reason is ’excessive cost competitive pressure’.’ Lin Wan said, ’Additionally, ASML’s stock price fell 12% today, with market value evaporating by 18 billion euros. Analyst reports claim that Xingchen lithography machines may steal 30% of ASML’s market share in the next five years.’

Su Chen nodded: ’As expected.’

He looked out the window; the night view of Shenzhen was as dazzling as a galaxy.

Today, this city’s GDP will increase by at least 500 billion rmb in industrial chain value due to Xingchen’s orders.

7:00 PM, News Broadcast

Today’s News Broadcast used a 6-minute special report—an unprecedented duration.

Anchor Li Zimeng had a solemn expression:

’Today, Xingchen Heavy Industry Group released 11 high-end CNC machine tools in Shenzhen, with performance reaching international leading levels, and prices only 80% of similar foreign products...’

Footage interspersed:

Close-up of Heavenly Work Extreme processing aviation blades, sparks like a waterfall

Shocking shots of Xingtian machine tools processing nuclear power rotors, iron filings like dragons

The grand occasion of representatives from various countries queuing at the signing site

’Also released were our country’s first self-owned intellectual property 16nm lithography machine, as well as complete production line solutions for chips and automobiles...’

The camera gave a close-up of the lithography machine: precise optical systems, complex control systems, and footage of engineers debugging it.

’Today’s on-site signed orders exceed $50 billion, which will drive the output value of our country’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry to grow by approximately 350 billion yuan, create over 200,000 direct jobs, and indirectly drive employment for over 1 million people...’

Finally, the anchor summarized:

’From chips to machine tools, from materials to complete vehicles, Su Chen has walked a complete path of independent innovation in three years. This is not just a commercial success, but a solid step for the national industrial system toward the high end.’

This passage was screenshotted by countless netizens and went viral on social media.

Douyin hot search #1: #XingchenMachineToolPriceButcher#

The most liked short video (@Northeast Old Machinist Master Zhang):

A wrinkled old worker, wearing washed-out work clothes, choked up at the camera:

’I’ve worked with machine tools for thirty-eight years... Starting as an apprentice, I used the old Soviet lathes, the C620, where 0.1mm precision was considered good. Later, the factory brought in Japanese machine tools, Mazak, which we treated like treasures. We didn’t dare repair them when they broke, and we invited Japanese engineers, whose daily wage was equal to my annual salary...’

He wiped his eyes:

’Later, we used German ones, DMG Mori, costing millions each; even the cutting fluid had to be imported... Today I watched the live stream and saw our own machine tools, with 0.001mm precision, even better than the German ones, at half the price... I...’

He couldn’t go on, tears streaming down.

Comments section exploded:

’Old Master Craftsman, don’t cry, in the future let foreigners use our machine tools!’

’Walking the fifty-year path in three years, only Su Chen could create such a miracle.’

’It used to be the Eight-Nation Alliance selling us machine tools, now it’s us selling them complete production lines; the tables have turned.’

’My grandfather was also a machinist, if he could see today...’

Zhihu hot list #1: ’How to evaluate Xingchen Heavy Industry winning $53.2 billion in orders in one day?’

High-vote answer (ID ’Industry Brother’, verified: Senior Engineer at a military industrial group):

’Analyzing from the perspective of the industrial chain, this means:

China’s manufacturing upgrade costs reduced by 50%: Previously, if companies wanted to upgrade production lines and buy imported equipment, the return on investment period was 8-10 years. Now, using Xingchen equipment, the return period is shortened to 3-5 years. This will trigger a wave of manufacturing upgrades.

German and Japanese machine tool companies will lose their largest market: China accounts for 40% of global machine tool consumption. If Xingchen takes half of this 40% market, DMG Mori, Mazak, and Fanuc might lay off more than 30% of their staff, triggering an industry reshuffle.

chip/automobile complete line output is equivalent to outputting ’industrialization capability’: This is the first time since the colonial era that a non-Western country has been able to export complete advanced manufacturing capabilities. Malaysia buys chip lines, Vietnam buys car lines—they are trading market for industrialization. And Xingchen is trading technology for global industrial chain discourse power.

The most terrifying thing is the R&D speed: It only took Xingchen three years from establishment to releasing these devices. While DMG Mori’s DMU series took eight years to develop, and Mazak’s Integrex series took ten years. This means Xingchen’s R&D system might be more valuable than the equipment itself—they have found a methodology for rapid technical iteration.

Strategic significance for national security: High-end machine tools and lithography machines were previously the areas with the most severe ’choke points’. Now that they are independent, it means our military, aerospace, and chip industries are no longer afraid of being cut off. This is a strategic victory more important than commercial success.’

Hupu Walking Street god-tier post: ’If Xingchen were a listed company, the stock price would have already reached the universe, right?’

High-lighted reply:

’No need for ’if’, Spark Group’s stock price will take off immediately. After the May Day holiday ends, the consecutive daily limit trend will start, and the valuation will not be lower than $2 trillion—Apple is only $2.8 trillion, but Apple can’t build lithography machines and five-axis machine tools.’

’Su Chen: Let’s set a small goal first, earn $50 billion.’

’I used to think Xingchen was a heavy industry company, now I realize it’s an industrial trust.’

’Suggestion for the country to give Su Chen a one-ton medal.’

Late night, Xingchen Headquarters

In the group conference room, the core team gathered.

Su Chen looked at the carnival on the internet, his expression calm.

’Today’s climax is actually paving the way for tomorrow,’ he said.

Tomorrow is the seventh day, and also the last day—Artificial Intelligence and Robots + Super Engineering Equipment.

Gao Mingxuan brought up the demonstration plan for tomorrow:

’Intelligent Manufacturing Lifeform’

100 collaborative robots form a flexible production line

From raw material input to finished product assembly, testing, and packaging, the entire process is unmanned

AI central brain schedules in real-time, self-adapting to changes in production plans

Can switch to produce different products within one hour

’Machine tools are the bones of industry, chips are the nerves, and AI is the brain,’ Su Chen summarized. ’Tomorrow, we will showcase a complete ’Intelligent Manufacturing Lifeform’. Let the world see that Xingchen’s ultimate goal is not to sell equipment, but to define the next generation of production methods.’

He looked at the team: ’Rest well tonight. Tomorrow is the final battle.’

The team dispersed, and Su Chen stood alone in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.

Outside the window, the manufacturing factories in Shenzhen were brightly lit. Many companies were sleepless tonight—they were re-planning production lines, studying the Xingchen equipment manual, and calculating upgrade costs.

And on the other side of the Pacific, in the conference rooms of Washington, Berlin, Tokyo, and Seoul, a debate about ’how to deal with the rise of Chinese industry’ was raging all night.

In the White House Situation Room, the President asked his aides: ’If we sanction Xingchen now, what will be the consequences?’

The aide was silent for a long time: ’Mr. President, the consequence might be... half of the global manufacturing industry will be paralyzed. Because Xingchen’s equipment and chips have already penetrated almost all industrial chains, and they have all been localized. They are no longer on the global industrial chain, so sanctions are already ineffective.’

’Then what can we do?’

’Cooperate,’ the aide said with difficulty. ’Trade market for technology, trade openness for cooperation. Otherwise... we will be excluded from the new industrial system.’

The President closed his eyes.

He knew that an era had ended.

A new era had already begun.

And the key to opening this era was in the hands of that young man in the East.
