Tech Giants: Starting from Bankrupt Companies

222: Chapter 222 Strategic Chessboard6:30 PM, hotel conference room next to the exhibition center.

Su Chen stood in front of the curved large screen, looking at the four framework agreements that had just been summarized.

On the map, four regions were highlighted:

Saudi Arabia (Red): Middle East energy-rich region, geopolitical fulcrum.

Malaysia (Green): Southeast Asia manufacturing base, radiating to ASEAN.

Russia (Blue): Resource hinterland, strategic buffer.

European Union (Gold): High-end market, technical endorsement.

Core executives like Zhang Yang, Lin Wan, and Shen Nanpeng stood behind him.

”Four puzzle pieces in one day.” Su Chen pointed to the map. ”Xinghuo Electronics’ globalization layout has completed a key step.”

Shen Nanpeng reported the financial data:

”For the four joint ventures, our total investment does not exceed 2 billion USD—mainly through technical valuation and equipment input. But we have leveraged over 3 billion USD in cash from the other parties, plus hundreds of billions in market access, as well as land, tax, and policy incentives. The leverage ratio exceeds 150 times.”

”More importantly,” Lin Wan added, ”we have avoided the risks of directly entering unfamiliar markets. Local partners help us handle government relations, labor issues, and cultural differences. We only provide technology and brand, operating with light assets.”

Su Chen nodded: ”This is Xinghuo’s globalization model: it is not predatory expansion, but symbiotic development. We export technology, the local area gains industry and employment, and consumers get good products—a win-win-win for all three parties.”

He turned to Zhang Yang: ”After four negotiations, what is your deepest impression?”

Zhang Yang thought for a moment: ”Saudi Arabia wants industrial transformation, Malaysia wants technological self-reliance, Russia wants to counter the West, and the European Union wants to maintain dignity. Each country’s demands are different, but they all acknowledge one point: Xinghuo’s technology is hard currency.”

”Hard currency...” Su Chen repeated the term. ”This is the significance of technological autonomy. When we have things others don’t, we set the rules.”

He looked at the America region on the map—it was still a blank space.

”There is no rush for the America market.” Su Chen said, ”Once we stand firm in these places, once our products pass the certifications of the European Union, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, and once global consumers are all using Xinghuo, the people of America will come to find us on their own. By then, we will set the negotiation terms.”

At 8:00 PM, Su Chen returned to his villa to rest.

A light blue holographic projection quietly appeared on the system panel:

At the same time, many regions and countries around the world were also analyzing Xinghuo’s movements.

Washington, White House Situation Room.

Emergency meeting with the National Security Advisor, Secretary of Commerce, and Secretary of State.

”In one day, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Russia, the European Union.” The Secretary of State pointed to the map, ”Xinghuo is landing in four strategic regions simultaneously. This is building a de-Americanized technology supply chain.”

The Secretary of Commerce’s face looked ugly: ”Saudi Arabia is our traditional ally, Malaysia is our chip packaging base, and the European Union... the European Union seems to have completely turned to Xinghuo!”

”Because Xinghuo gave them terms they couldn’t refuse.” The National Security Advisor analyzed calmly, ”Technology, employment, market. And all we give them is: sanctions, demands, orders.”

The President pushed the door open and entered: ”So what is the solution?”

”Pressure.” The Secretary of State said, ”Within 72 hours, we must make Malaysia and Saudi Arabia reconsider. As for the European Union... that’s more troublesome; they have their own agenda.”

”Then apply pressure.” The President ordered, ”Tell Malaysia that if they cooperate with Xinghuo, we will re-evaluate trade preferences. Tell Saudi Arabia that if they continue to choose to cooperate with Xinghuo, then the US military will withdraw from Saudi Arabia and no longer provide military protection.”

”What about Russia?”

”Russia... they are already under sanctions, it doesn’t matter.”

Taiwan, New Taipei, headquarters of a foundry giant.

Chairman Guo Ming watched the news, sweat appearing on his forehead.

”Once the Malaysia factory is built, our orders will be diverted by 30%...” He said to the executives, ”Contact Apple, Dell, and HP immediately. Tell them we can lower prices by 5% as long as they don’t transfer orders to Malaysia.”

”But Chairman, Xinghuo’s technology is better and the cost is lower...”

”Then lower prices by 10%!” Guo Ming roared, ”We cannot lose these customers!”

New Delhi, India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Minister Ravi Shankar slapped the table: ”Why did no one come to us for cooperation? We are the South Asian hegemon! 1.4 billion people! The market is much larger than Malaysia’s!”

The assistant said cautiously: ”Minister, Xinghuo might be worried about our business environment...”

”Then improve it!” Ravi said, ”Contact Xinghuo immediately and tell them: we will provide twice the land as Malaysia, double the tax-free period, and 30% lower labor costs. As long as they come!”

Unfortunately, in the India market, even if you make money, you can’t take it out, and you have to lose your equipment too. They have been notorious internationally for these years.

8:30 PM, Exhibition Center Business District.

Although the exhibition had closed, the lights in the four conference rooms were still on.

Inside sat Xinghuo Electronics’ legal team, the lawyers of the other countries, and translators, totaling over one hundred people.

They were drafting formal contracts overnight.

Coffee consumption hit a record high: on average, everyone drank five cups.

Xinghuo Electronics’ Legal Director, Old Wang, 50 years old, had been working for 36 consecutive hours, but he was high-spirited.

”For the Saudi contract, the focus is on the technology licensing clauses. We must clearly write out the scope of authorization, the duration, and breach of contract liabilities.”

”For the Malaysia contract, the focus is on the technical training clauses, which must be specific to how many people are trained each year and the content of the training.”

”For the Russia contract, pay attention to the sanction risk avoidance clauses. It must be stated how responsibilities are divided if cooperation is interrupted due to sanctions.”

”The European Union contract is the most complex. Environmental standards, labor protection, data privacy... every clause must withstand the scrutiny of the European Union courts.”

Young lawyer Xiao Liu’s eyes were bloodshot: ”Director Wang, with so many contracts, can we finish signing them within a week?”

”Even if we can’t finish, we have to sign them.” Old Wang said, ”President Su said this is a strategic window period that must be seized. America will definitely cause trouble, and we must get the rice cooked before America reacts.”

”Then tonight...”

”All-nighter.” Old Wang picked up his sixth cup of coffee, ”Tell the cafeteria to send over a late-night snack. Steak, seafood, fruit—whatever is expensive. The company will reimburse it.”

Outside the window, the night view of Shenzhen was brilliant.

In countless corners of this city, countless people were busy for this technological feast.

And in the exhibition center square, hundreds of technology enthusiasts were unwilling to leave. They set up tents, waiting for tomorrow’s press conference.

A German youth was live-streaming on Twitter:

”The first day is over, but I’m still outside the Shenzhen exhibition center. Tomorrow is the power battery session; it is rumored that there is revolutionary technology. I haven’t slept for 24 hours, but I’m too excited to sleep. History is happening right here, and I am on the scene.”

This tweet received over 100,000 likes.

Many people replied: ”Envious!” ”Please continue live-streaming!” ”Xinghuo has changed the world.”
